    Big props to your camera op, showing all the details of the mounting! Looks insanely sturdy, I love it.

      The wife was the cam op on this one! She is a quick learner and a keeper! The setup is over built, but it makes for peace of mind!

    dude i love it, im in a 170in wb sprinter. I could definitely use some pointers, especially since im looking at picking a cart. Dude if you ever have time id love to connect. Havlock wool is what has been recommended to me for insulation so may look into that as well.

      I’m always open to chat if I have the time. I often jump on calls when I am headed to and from gigs.
      Thanks for watching!

    Hey love these vids! Question, are you mounting the bottom of the racks to the floor? Or was it strong enough on the side panels for structure?
    Thanks man!

    • @PDMokry
      @PDMokry  Před 2 měsíci +2

      So the wall connections just keep it from falling over. The weight keeps it planted. The load it spread out pretty well.

    I’ve been wanting to ask you.. how the heck did you fix the sachtler tripod you bought from me on fb? Lol and your van is dope!

    • @PDMokry

      Was it the carbon legs that were slipping? Thank you!

    • @Conjuredfilms
      @Conjuredfilms Před 8 měsíci +1

      @@PDMokryyes! I went to a shop and no one could fix it and then I looked for the manual but I couldn't figure it out and there were no good videos on my issue. Then I was watching one of your videos and I saw you were using it!

    • @PDMokry
      @PDMokry  Před 8 měsíci

      @@Conjuredfilms It came down to fine adjustment of the tension release. I put a sand bag on it and just kept adjusting to to hold the load. Then made sure it would also release when dropping the legs for setup.

    Do you think this is lighter weight than wood? Also more cost effective?

    • @PDMokry
      @PDMokry  Před 7 měsíci +1

      Wood will result in a more bulky build. The space loss would hurt your pocket book in the long run. Also you would need more vertical supports, limiting more storage space.
      This is way more cost effective than getting a custom built all metal build.
      A little more than all wood.
      10' 2x4 wood 10.2 lbs
      10' Strut metal 17 lbs
      So a 60% increase in weight.
      Wood will squeak a lot.

      Awesome my mind is made up thank you man you saved me lol. I was going to buy wood tomorrow lol

      @@PDMokry one more question for you what did you end up using to keep the plywood from moving?

  • @scottjohnson3017
    @scottjohnson3017 Před 8 měsíci +2

    Hopefully, you got some decent cashback or bonus points from Home Depot.

  • @ahumanbeing626
    @ahumanbeing626 Před 21 dnem +1

    off topic but what did you use for your flooring?

    • @ahumanbeing626
      @ahumanbeing626 Před 21 dnem +1

      also, great job build, i'm starting blueprints for my box truck off this super strut system because of your video. Has it been holding up great?

    • @PDMokry
      @PDMokry  Před 16 dny

      Factory and 3/4 cabinet grade plywood. More layers in the ply make it stronger.

    • @PDMokry
      @PDMokry  Před 16 dny

      Holding up great!
      Plus it can be removed if needed, this means I can have an empty van if needed.
