HPD is grateful for Housing Navigators like Giri, who helped Miss Arnetta secure a safe, beautiful home with her Emergency Housing Voucher (EHV). Now, she has plenty of space for her grandkids to visit.
The Emergency Housing Voucher program (EHV) helps individuals experiencing homelessness, housing insecurity, or domestic violence obtain a safe, stable home by subsidizing a portion of the rent based on their income. Rental assistance provides significant benefits to New Yorkers by helping them exit the shelter system, reducing rent burdens, and enabling families to spend more money on necessities.
