I love it! But I think that when scrolling, the Villa's image could be a little smaller, so that the user can focus more on the information and still be able to view the images. You help me a lot! Thanks
agreed!
hey even i commented the same thing 🤭and then saw your comment
Can you create a course that teaches UI/UX and everything that you do (specially the Research, Analysis, Discovery Process, etc)? I really want to learn from you and I’m happy to pay for it
+1 will also support this! I love how detailed she is with her process.
I was literally just checking the video description for this! Her thought process is insane
I know courses take a while to make and in the meantime I would love to know if she has any course recommendations!
@@victoriagillerlain yes agreed!
Absolutely! I 100% agree. I would love a full course from Rachel, it would be second to none! :) :) Please, please!
personally i prefer option 1 because the images would probably be interupting my reading experience
Thanks for the feedback! That’s a fair point 😃
agree
really like the redesign series
Thank you! I’m super glad to hear this :)
Hello Rachel, 🙋
I am a first year student in a Design college📖 in India. Ever since I got into design field I had this imposter syndrome😿. I always watched your videos and I used to think "wow. I wanna do all this too!".🥳
I started designing and sharing it to the world but I didn't got any clients😷. Then I started posting my designs into competitions and eventually won a few competitions☺. And finally clients started approaching me! 😄
When I earned my first money I was shaking😲! Because all the rejection I faced was scary to me. But it made me strong, very strong.😺
And I am incredibly happy to announce that recently I won a very amazing gig (💵). All thanks to you and your videos. You are a great inspiration to all the new designers who are getting in this field. 👏
I am looking forward to create a work life balance and pay my college tuition👨🎓. Everything is going great and I am growing both financially and mentally!
I hope you are having an amazing day too! Keep up the good work!😊
Your work on YT is so appreciated, Rachel. Thank you so much for taking time to create these. It's a fantastic resource to new and experienced designers alike!
Thank you so much! 🥹
Incredible and very well-thought out!
From just a quick glance, the original looks pretty good and functional, but there were in fact, many areas of improvement that can be exposed if you train yourself to develop a more critical eye for the user's experience.
As a casual viewer of design work (I'm not a designer), it's really refreshing and informative to see the before and after, as well as your thought process behind design decisions to flaws in the original that I never would've thought of.
Wow, thank you! You’re spot on 💪🏻
@@rachelhow Please what tool did you use to create the final demo video? I’ll like to learn it to make videos like that.
at least once a week I watch this video... it reminds me that what I thought was "fairly correct" is completely incorrect... Thank you for your beautiful work!
Thank you for your work. This is so educating yet not overwhelming due to how you present and structure the information. I'm your fan ❤
I love how your videos are always so well structured and I enjoy hearing your thought process behind your design choices. I love how you designed this app, I definitely prefer the option where the images are fixed because they are what make me most excited about booking a place.
Thanks for this short and useful video. Your design process really inspired me.
Beautiful design, would love to see more videos of this
I love this serie! I haven't stop learning and practicing since I've discovered your channel 2y ago :)
Fantastic video. I appreciate the insight into your thought process.
woooo, so amazing with your video prototyping, I love it 🤩
Love the video and systematic analysis of the ui ! :)
I really appreciate this kind of videos. Please, keep it up
Hello Rachel,
It was so beautiful
Thank you alot❤
I've learned so much from your videos. Thank you!
Wow you are very talented, it was fun to watch your process!
Simply incredible! Please do a desk tour as well, I'd love to see your setup 😁
I love this redesign series! It's really inspiring and helps me understand the UX/UI thought process as I see it in action. Also, the final presentation is so clean. I'll definitely be checking out Rotato. 👀
As a beginner in UI/UX design, I applaud Rachel for such great content. I feel like to be a Great designer takes a whole lot. Thank you for showing the steps that you take in tackling your designs. I am very impressed.
Loving this series. Gives good insights!
Hi Rachel,
these redesign series are eye-opening and inspirational to people who are learning UX UI like me.
Hope you still have time to do these videos cause I know these are time-consuming since 3hrs thinking and redesigning then shorten it to 12:05 minutes video.
Thank you for your effort ❤
🥺 Thank you so, so much for the kind words. It's really nice to know that the hard work behind the scenes are being appreciated. I will be doing websites/dashboards next, to switch things up a little.
Wow, that’s so useful! Thank you!
Thank you so much Rachel!
Awesome video! You were exactly what i was looking for. These insights are a gem.
Really appreciate this re-design series.💛
I worked on my application and now I am redesigning a single page everyday, these videos are helping a lot thank you.
Thaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaanks 🙌for giving your precious time to create this video. Rachel !!!!!!
Clear critique - more videos to advance UI skills please @Rachel 🙏
This series is brilliant and I absolutely love it. It's really nice to see you sharing insights about your thought process and design concepts. I wish there were more videos like that out there. Keep it up.
Thank you very much :)
Thank you for sharing your design process.
Also the promo for showcasing the design options was very well done.
Thank you very much! Super happy to hear this :)
This is Rachel, learnt a ton of cool ways to approach design. Keep up the good work
I love this kind of video it's really improving the design skills 👍🏻 please we wana more videos like this
Love this series! Keep it up!
Option 2 is definitely better and love the pinned images, so users can keep looking at the pictures as they move through the description
this looks amazing!!! i love it!!! please could you do a video that shows how you created the showreel at the end please? thank you!
This is really helpful video for me as beginner. Please make more videos like this
This is a true work of art. I appreciate the new design :D
Great video Rachel! Thank you for sharing your brilliant work and helpful resources!
Glad it was helpful! Thank you for watching 😁
My goodness! I learnt a lot in this short clip. I'm learning to design websites and I want to venture into UX designing
Hi! Your contents really helped me a lot in my UI/UX journey. I hope you'll create more of these kinds of content💛
Thank you for the feedback, Hannah 🥹🙏🏻 Will create more of these :)
Thank you for the inspiration.
I really like this type of content, I find it much more useful than tutorial videos, please keep doing this
Amazing! thanks for sharing
It's so cool, that you describe process of thinking and your choice! Very useful. Thanks ❤
You're so welcome!
It's impressive, please keep doing this.
Fantastic video! ❤ I prefer option 2. Having the photos visible is a good way to keep the look and feel of the villa on the user’s mind even while they explore the entire page.
I love the final result & presentation! So cool 🔥
Thanks so much! 😊
Thank you for sharing! Great video, loved the result
Thanks so much! 😊
Looks better than the original. Like others have said, Option 2 sacrifices a lot of screen real estate to images. If the client pushed for keeping the images on screen, you could scale it down on scrolling till the image width is about half the screen width and transition it into a horizontal scroll view with the other images. I do like the sticky CTA on the bottom, but with this much scrolling, there should be a "scroll-to-top" button available to the user. Standard practice is to put that towards the bottom-trailing portion of the screen, but with that taken by the CTA bar, maybe the top trailing? Either way, looks great. Nice work
I really loved the way which you work with, and also your work is so beautiful and so appealing
Thank you so much! Hope to see you around the channel :)
i have 6 months of subscription and i learned a lot from you, Thank u ☺@@rachelhow
You killed it with that video presentation at the end! Good work!
🥺 thank you!!!
Incredible Rachel! I'm a digital experience designer myself, and all your videos are very inspiring and insightful! Amazing work (and also thanks for making me discover Mobbin :) ) Keep the great stuff coming!
To see your thought process in identifying areas of improvement from a real, existing design, and actually improving it has far more educational value for more intermediate level designers looking for more than just "here are some cool color palettes and fonts to play with". Option 2 is definitely my preference. Having the persistent images seems like a better experience to keep users enticed.
Hey thank you :) I appreciate the kind words!
Loved the entire process for creating a stunning ui design, I liked the idea of keeping the images fixed when scrolling as it might help a lot in decision making
Thank you! Cheers!
such a detailed yet straightforward redesign video! please don't stop making this kind of videos as it gives a lot of new insight in redesigning UI. I like the second option but imo first one is more common.
Thank you so much for watching! 🥺
Amazing work ❤
Second one makes more sense, It gives such a beautiful and well thought experience, Great work.
Thank you! Cheers!
Thank you so much, i really like this series ♡♡♡
You're welcome 😊 Thank you for watching too!
Love the redesign. 1h vs 3h ; isn’t that always how it goes?! Using accordions and the horizontal scroll are some of my favorites to organize the text.
Sigh, good up writing… it IS such an important skill and I’m lacking. Even just for the placeholder text that won’t go on the final site. Thx for showing us all the preliminary research that’s essential prior to beginning the design. That’s often skipped in How To videos.
Great video!
Thank you!
Loved it !!!
It's impressive and very interesting, even when we're not designers, it helps understanding the process behind every UI thanks !
This is such a great redesign! It's so clean and more visual. So inspiring ✨️
P.D.: I vote for the second one!
Really inspiring work by Rachel.
Thankyou for your time and effort for helping aspiring UX designers and professionals improve skills throughout our UX journey.
Thankyou for helping me understand the UX/UI thought process as I see it live. Also, the redesigned product is so clean and simple.
But have a suggestion on the position of CTA button "Book Now". Could you please check the spacing/padding from the rectangle or mother container it is kept on.
Correct me if I am wrong using the terminolgies used here.
I am new & on my way exploring more on UX.
Option 2, I love it
it's very clean and modern
Hi, Rachel, I have been following your videos for quite some time they are really informative and insightful. As a new UI/UX designer I really appreciate the work you put in to help all of us. I really liked the prototype video you made. I was just wondering how you made that video, So if you could share some insight regarding the process or the tool used it would be really helpful. Thank you keep up the great work!! 😁
Thank you Rachel! as a jr ux/ui designer i learn a lot with your videos :)
Happy to hear that :) Thanks for watching!
Great redesign and well detailed..I love it
Can you share the figma file link please if you don't mind 🥹🥹🥹
❤❤love option 2🔥🔥
I loved the way option 2 turned out. Love this series. Pls, keep on uploading this as a series. And the presentation video. Can you like make a video on how to present designs like that (It gives me Ad Vibes, lol)
This redesign is fantastic! I'm absolutely in love with it. Would you be kind enough to provide some guidelines regarding the sizing of various elements such as buttons, padding, font size, and anything related to building a UI system?
incredible video as always
Thanks for watching too!
You're honestly too good!
Oh thank you 🥺
You just taught me how to critically analyze a UI design. Would keep coming back to this video and will surely use the learnings to analyze better next time
Great tutorial! I love your analysis and the final result is indeed functional and feels luxurious.
Could you tell me what did you use to create the video to present the design? Thanks! :)
can u make a vid explaining how u do the ad video with a prototype in different viewpoints? great video!❤
Brilliant 😍
Thanks for this amazing video, I love the way you work ! Can I ask you how you made that last video with the rotating mockup and so on ?
As a developers I would be pleased to work with a talented designer like you, amazing job, congratulations 👏🏾
Do you have any checklists that you follow when reviewing any design? If so, could you please give an overview of it? This would help us understand your overall process better.
Love it redesign series keep it up and make more ❤
Thanks! More to come :)
Love your analysis of the original, very well thought out! Would love to see user testing of your revision:)
Thank you, Julie! Will consider that :)
Just excellent
Excellent 💐
It is great! Can you put a video on how to create that prototype video with animations?
Your channel 🎉is excellent 👍👌 thank you I have learned so much from you !!!!
You look so photogenic too , excelsior 🎉
改的特别好,学习到了,谢谢!
谢谢观看!希望日后可以制作更多能够帮助大家的影片 :)
AWESOME!! Greetings from Brazil
Hello there! Thanks for watching:)
I love how you presented the product at the end. May know the sites you used for the mockup presentation?
es un ejemplo perfecto de como el diseño puede ser bueno pero no estar enfocado en la funcionalidad y como mejorarlo, gracias por este contenido
Its cool and very helpful ❤
Attention to details, very pleasing ui and thoughtful at the same time
Im learning alot from you
Love from india
Hoping to learn more from your side
My pleasure 😊
I love it❤
Please make more redesign videos, it’s very useful to a newbie uxui designer like me.
Thanks Rachel for this amazing content! I loveeeed this redesign exercise and I look forward to seeing more of those! I have a question. Do you use a third party or your own design system or you design UI elements from scratch for this exercise or for client work?
Thanks Rachel, these vids are so helpful!
I was wondering if it's possible for you to share the Figma link you worked on? For me, I learn best by studying how other designers built their layers etc. (:
Love the final results Rachel. Another exploration I would've considered would have been to make each amenity and its icon, take a pill shape form with a light bg color and stack them side by side and wrap those that wouldn't fit on one line, Or even make them scrollable
Thanks 🙏🏻 Amenities organized in chips/pills would be cool to see. I would prefer them wrapped, instead of horizontally scrollable 😄
