I put Infinity Wax on side by side with Ultra Glaco and the Infinity Wax worked at lower speeds and kept the windscreen cleaner throughout. Excited for their soon to be released Synergy glass coating

I've used the rainx and soft 99 dx, I'm not keen on the dx applicator, as with the rainx I usually apply it to the glass with a da polisher, this seems to help it bond better into the glass and last longer

I had terrible problems with applying the dx had to apply more product to shift the residue when buffing by hand the wet buff wasn’t working properly. I love infinity diamond vision and h2go. I’m finishing off my dx and going back to diamond vision I found h2go a had a bit of streaking sometimes but is just about level with diamond vision in my experience. Gonna be watching this one with interest!

Turtle Wax Clear Vue is worth mentioning. It is very cheap, super hydrophobic and lasts a very long time. I apply it 1-2x/year depending on how aggressive I am with my wipers.

Nice one! I’m interested in having a go with a dedicated product. Currently my car glass is beading off the use of Meguires Hybrid Ceramic Wax and Detailer (used as drying aid) - works quite well 👍🏼

I'm using EZ car care Lotus at the moment I got 5 litres on one of those deals they do chose any three 5 litres for £45 it's a great product which beads like crazy but does have some ghosting the trade off is it lasts ages of its prepped correctly

I have used all of these and more on both customers and my own stuff, on a multitude of vehicles. Personally although I LOVE the idea of them every single one ghosts and judders to some degree in certain conditions. The Glaco prep glass cleaner you refer briefly to, is my go to product to remove these coatings when customers cannot live with the ghosting and judder. Newer low milage stuff with less wear in the wiper rack linkages judder noticeably less, HGV's & busses seem to have less issues presumably due to the vertical nature of the screens.. The time I get the most complaints is in winter, when the sun is low and humidity is high early mornings. In this situation I find the products dangerous, as the fogging affects vision badly. Some customers swear by these products, Geyon Quick View best feedback overall but juddered badly on my 22 plate M4. I wont apply any of these products without warning customers of the issues they may encounter . Do I coat my own vehicles now? Errr nope!!!

I have pretty much come to the same conclusions, tried quite a few but the fogging in bright sun early morning is abig no no for me. Just good to hear a proffesional say it. The other thing I find is that they don't work at low enough speeds.

interesting. I;ve always used rainx, and recently found rainx + glass cleaner, which was great at topping up the rainx, but the glasss cleaner wasn't as good as glaco de cleaner. Started using the glaco dx recently, on the Z4 and havn't expereience any rain yet. As a side note I was well impressed with the glaco polish.

I have given up on most glass coatings and sealants the coatings are just too time consuming and all cause judder on my Audi. I do like most of the glass cleaners with added rain repellents.

the most important part is, at least to me, does bugsplatter go away after 2 wipes with the wiperblades. if it doesn't go away I'm not really interested.

Ultra Glàco is alright, I really don't think its the golden bullet for a glass sealant. I am on the look out for something better. At 40mph small rain drops jist sit on the screen and do not move until they start to join up to make bigger drops then they run off the screen. Ive got Carpro flyby fortè the lastest version and that performs better- no wiper judder or any hindrance. It did take so so long to buff to a completely clear finish. Youve just gotta keep buffing and buffing to get it to turn clear. Its a major ball ache to set it up. I'm searching for something beadier at low speeeds thats durable. I wonder what Carpro Dquartz Gforce has to offer? I might has a look at Labocosmetica and the Angle wax too. Great video and very helpful 👍

EZ car care lotus, can get it on sale for £5 for 500ml. Lasts at least 1-2 months and its the best beading you've ever seen ! Its a glass cleaner and protectant, if you clay/polish it will last longer. Its literally a spray and wipe/buff. For me nothing has come close to it !

Jon, one advantage with Rain X is they also do a wiper washer fluid which has Rain X in it which effectively tops up your windscreen protection every time you spray and wipe.
I use Glaco with it and it seems to work well. It may take a couple of wash wipes to get the traffic film off your screen initially

    & similar...
    At slow speed or mist.
    The screen needs wiped.
For a few seconds(?) The screen is obscured.
    Drives me nuts.
Are all screen treatments the same please?

My personal experience, obviously cars differ but i applied it to the instructions:
Gyeon View: pretty poor performance even just after application
Glaco: 60mph upwards is where it gets going, not sure it stands up to regular cleaning with mild shampoo. Hate the application where you definitely need elbow grease and water to buff off and feels like you're diminshing it's layer straight away.
RainX: its good, but the bottle always arrives split. The RainX screenwash doesnt do a thing to add or top up the repellency.
AutoBrite Direct and Angelwax: good performers, very similar products but more regular applications needed than others.
