I am glad they have another mission pack. This one is interesting and I am curious to see how it shakes up the meta.
Been playing my first games of shatterpoint from the core game, now i have a wishlist of every current squad available lol, so far played 1 full game and 1 starter struggle and lost both but getting better!
That was more of a Watto than Hondo voice

I do like the focus on Balance for objectives, $20 seems kinda steep.
I'm just getting started with Shatterpoint, but I like this type of expansion product. Nice and accessible without being mandatory or tied into a larger "model" set.

Oh, dang. Plo Koons squad pack isnt til January? I've only gotten Core + Obi-Wan and Grievous boxes. But told myself I wouldnt be buying anymore til Plo Koons pack releases and probably Dookus alongside it.

Got mine. Felt impressive until you realise it’s mostly just other language cards. Felt like it needed more tokens or something at least.
Maybe going forward just release missions online as print and play?
interesting that only one out of the nine the back two objectives don't turn on.
I think for the repeat game play $15 that I paid isn't bad.

It's odd that a new game is already getting cardboard only expansion.
I'm glad I got these before they sold out at my LGS. But I feel it is a huge waste of paper giving us all the other languages .
I think it’s crazy that you bring up nothing until January and they are skipping over holiday release opportunities.
This game needed this pack, but that price seems pretty high for what you are getting
I paid $15 (-20% for preorder, so more like $13 after tax). I really like Shatterpoint but this pack was/is highly disappointing. The moved the objective markers around and added in events that occur only on the SP card draw (maybe twice per game). It just doesnt really move the needle. I was hoping for some new game dynamics. Even if the events happened on every Primary turn that would double the frequency. The minis releases are great but we need more for objectives, tournaments and leagues.
Much to my shagrin, my buddy picked me up a copy of shatterpoont core set. We’ve played a few times and it’s true, every game is the same! Last time he came over to play, we played x-wing instead.
The other languages in there is just Polish ;d It's Polish, man xdd
I can't be the only one sick of AMG passing on the cost for multiple languages onto their customers? They've just done the same thing with Crisis Protocol cards too, it's a rip off.
Given that you kinda have to buy these to avoid playing the same missions over and over again, I'll probably be picking these up.
I may just call it quits though as compared to Crisis Protocol Shatterpoint is a dull boring game. If it wasn't Star Wars I'd have no interest in it.
Did the price of mcp packs go up with that change?
Yeah I had taken a big break from crisis protocol but just played it again recently and I’m surprised at how much better it is
@@cooleo1c so far MCP character packs only have 1 set of language cards included. However the recent mission card pack had 4 languages in it. As most people will be buying it for just 1 of them, it is in my opinion a rip off.
Also if you compare it to last year's card pack that included updated character cards and tactic cards it's even worse.
@@Crabbok I think it's down to the missions, for lack of a better word.
In Crisis Protocol you have double the amount of mission play that (so far) Shatterpoint offers. Sure there are times you stand on a point, but there's so much more.
Time will tell and at least, as I'm an older gamer "my" Star Wars (Han, Luke, Leia etc) is coming next year, I get to collect and paint them.
I think it all has to do with AMG being too small to appropriately handle the localisation of their products around the world. FFG was a international company. AMG is a small american hobby company, with a lot less reach and appeal outside the US.
Sorry, but it is getting sickening to pay for 50 cards when you can only use 10.
