  • Roshaante Andersen was born intersex.
Intersex is a general term used for a variety of conditions in which a person is born with a reproductive or sexual anatomy that doesn't seem to fit the typical definitions of female or male.
Roshaante was born with a vagina and internal testicles. He did not find out he was intersex until he was 11 years old.
In this interview he takes us through growing up as intersex, why he chose to live as a man, and what sex feels like with both genders.

If I had ever met you and you'd told me this, what I would have wanted to know from you, would have been, so who are you inside? Our genitals don't define who we are, so forgetting what's between your legs, who are you? That's the most important part of you. Working out who you were growing up, must have been so tough, and you seem to have a wonderful mother who has given you the foundation to be happy to just be you, whoever that is! I agree all the way. The LGBT community doesn't get that people in general jus don't understand. Doesn't excuse their behavior but in the same breath I really feel if ur different in a kind of way that strangers are going to bother u about it, then u should have something quick lined up to say. Stick and move. I am extremely heavy chested and have been that way since the age of 12. I had to learn how to stick and move. No woman in my family could explain to me where these things came from, I went through lonely nights but when it came to strangers... Just like him u put it in ya mind like if ur asking these stupid questions then ur stupid. But it doesn't mean I have to show u what I'm thinking. The LGBQT community gotta learn the world is still learning.

This was AMAZING! I think there needs to be a whole lot more discussion on this topic because not many intersexed persons are comfortable with themselves as this 'man' is. Not only is he someone who is at ease with himself but CONFIDENT as well, quite a wonderful human being.

@@serialz4908 false equivalence. It’s not about being proud... it’s about accepting who you are and being unapologetic. I don’t want him to apologies for existing no more than i would want someone to apologize for being born blind, deaf, conjoined or being black... because in all those instances their are people who will say being born that way is nothing to be proud of.

So straightforward and honest, if anyone asks about your sexuality just say intersex, no more it is up to them to be bothered to find out and understand ,you have helped a lot of intersex people putting this out it is appreciated.
