So what you said! Im no professional. Just used heavy r on my boat. By my untrained eye i felt like it dries to a dust waybto quick. While it Does do a good job at cutting/polishing (i call it a heavy polish). It just didnt give me the time to work on deeper blemishes. Actually think next go round might use 3m super heavy instead of wet sand then follow with heavyr but will try the restructure instead. Used Alot if heavyr because of reapplication in the same area
Hey man after I use restructure what are the next steps? I have a DA and have a black lake country pad but not sure what product to use after the restructure looking to polish then wax or maybe do them both at once maybe? Thanks man good videos
Do you think that age plays a factory in gelcoat ? My boat is 50 years old, has been sitting in the sun neglected. If level R was not enough to get through the oxidation what do you recommend? Do you think that if I get rid of the top layer's of gelcoat the deeper layers should be able to be compounded\buffed\polished up to a like new finish or is it impossible because of it's age? Thanks!

I did 1000 grit wet sand on a little section and it looks good, but I really don't want to do the whole boat and have it look pretty good for a very short amount of time and go back to what it looks like now. I have Level- r and elevate and hyper hold, that was my plan but I'm scared it's not going to last like new ewer gelcoat would if I did the same thing to it. Does that make sense or am I crazy?

Wish you had shown it with a dark gelcoat it would have shown on camera better but great demo none the less.
say you wanted to never wet sand. would you recommend using restructure? then using what polish (da on a foam pad) then sealant?
