I don't think I've ever seen 176 laps managed so well. That's two long races by any standard. Can't blame De Pasquale for taking the punt. Didn't come off, but it was good to see, he attempted no glory either. It's hard to claim there's a better saloon car championship in the world right now, since Nascar will always hold itself back in the way it allows drivers to simply knock each other out of the way with no penalty. You go Aussie Supercars, the sport is on fire!!
Yeah. Meanwhile DTM has started the German GT3-Split with both DTM and GT Masters inevitably folding if it goes on like that. Super GT still hasn't figured out how to market to other countries. Brazilian Stock Cars aswell. Supercars Australia are on the right path!
NASCAR is a strange one, and that's coming from someone who's followed the sport since 2006. I like they allow drivers to be aggressive, but that said the lines NASCAR draws tend to be sloppy at the best of times.

Gizzy is a great driver, backed by a great team. But when someone owns their mistakes and tries to redress, you should let them. Being a sore winner just goes to show, he needs to get over himself.

ADP could've received a 10 or 15s penalty which would've benefitted SVG even more. It's not Shane's issue that ADP stuffed up. He is well entitled to benefit from that as much as he can.

I've followed Supercars on and off for years, but you couldn't be more right, and this sport is on fire right now. Al that power and speed and yet we're still getting nose to tail finishes (and closer) coming into the last corner after an 88 lap race. There's nothing to match it.

Wish they'd bring these cars to the states. So much more entertaining than crapcar and indy car.
That was quite disrespectful from Shane to not accept Anton's apological re-dress, which would crown him the winner. But he didn't allow him to re-dress, causing Anton to get a penalty, crowning him the winner.
That's the same as someone slapping a dude, then sincerely apologizing and giving him a first-aid care (as in no damage was sustained). But dude instead of accepting the apology beats him up...
That was such a bad sportsmanship move imo, causes such a sore feeling for SVG after what actually was Anton's fault

Bad move from car 11. Too many hot heads in this series which is a shame, it's the best tin top racing bar none.
I think it's ridiculous that Anton still got a penalty. He backed off to let SVG take the lead back, and had SVG not played around he would have beaten him to the line. The fact that SVG decided to intentionally dawdle like that when Anton tried to give it back makes me feel like Anton should have been given the victory, as an attempt to give back the position was made.
There’s no way he wasn’t going to get a penalty for that. He never had that turn even if he tried to regress to give Shane the spot back he would’ve gotten a penalty for reckless driving anyway. SvG pulled a big brain move. 🐐

Well done Anton, at the final corner you did to cheeseburger exactly what he would have done to you. You made the effort to redress your error at the finish line and then later tried to apologise for it. Cheeseburgers reactions to these gestures showed his complete lack of good sportsmanship. If somebody is a sore loser, that's pretty bad- but a sore winner- that's a even worse.
I feel like if Anton tried to redress but shane didn’t let him should Anton not a get penalty because Shane choose to be difficult. Or am i just an idiot ?
@@rhys3089 there is no rule to say you must accept the redress. didn't change the result although if you have a chance to put your main competitor further down the list you take it. there is a championship to think about. Imagine if Waters was only 4 second off the lead he's up to second or what if supercars handed out a 10 second penalty or more, Anton gets less championship points. It was quick thinking by T8 but I think the penalty was only 5 seconds because SVG refused the redress. If Anton would have speed away he would have gotten more then 5.

Life is a videogame for SVG, easy mode. Everybody just fighting in front of him and he just elegantly goes through. He even essentially teabaged DeP.
It's clear now DePasquale just isn't good. Can be extremely fast, wildly inconsistent and completely lacking in racing skill and racing intelligence.
Not like the others are much better. It's like they are all tripping over each other to give SVG the championship. Waters first corner on Davison. How come he never races SVG that hard? He was way too shallow, but decided to give it a go. Lucky Davison had the presence of mind not to crash them both... Unfortunately, even that couldn't save him from Pye and his braindead move.
Then there's Randle on DePasquale after pits. Just letting SVG go and then almost crashing both DeP and himself when they weren't even in the same race. Extremely dangerous and amateurish driving.
To circle back to Waters, how many times this year has SVG made that outside-to-inside move? How many times just on Waters? And still Waters seemed surprised. Waters should be at the top of his game now.
Poor Davison, he's the only one that has the consistency and intelligence to fight for the championship, yet gets no respect from other weekend racers.
Car 97 should been also penalised for unsportsmanlike behaviour (driving slowly intentionally behind car 11 at the finish line)

this program is a Holden show, it's very very bias, its set up for holden to win, expecually this year the last year of Holden, they are controlling the exit of the Holden commodore and I bet they'll make a bigger deal out of it than when falcon exited, hollow victories for Holden they won't play fair because Ford would win all the time, let's see what happens if the roles are reversed, 16 ford's vs 9 Holden's and all the top drivers and teams are in ford's, Holden would never win,

Yes, it was a dive by Anton, no argument there. But SVG did turn in sharper to stop any possible pass on the inside. So SVG turning in earlier that usual, and Anton trying a dive, it was an accident waiting to happen. Anton got the penalty which he deserved and SVG won, which he deserved. But I have seen SVG do the same to cars in front over the years. To me, it was just good racing with too much enthusiasm at the end by Anton, and to hard defending by SVG.

The max verstappen of Supercars makes it really hard for only die hards to like him. Great in a race car but has the personality of a fish.
Find me the best in any sport with anything better. Winners have no time to be social. It's very common that they are awkward in that department, since they have spent so long focussing on only what they do since they were kids. I'll forgive that part for what they are capable of in their respective sports. The man is a machine behind the wheel.

3 Ford's infront of 16 Holden's, 9 ford's vs 16 Holden's that have ALL the top drivers, All x Ford top drivers, cam waters is a Simon wills, an Anthony trait, a Michael Patrizi, will Davidson has been way down the pack or not there since or any good since 2007, Anton depasquale is another Rodney Forbes, a warren Luff, yet give them a good car a FORD and watch them race we'll watch them take it to the top Holden x ford drivers and teams, Holden victories are very hollow there's no pride in cheating

@@thesepeoplearecriminals1731 the Holden teams all signed off on the mustang when it entered the v8 supecars, but just because Scott McLaughlin is doing what vaginaburger is doing now they cried, they cried parity,,, and made continuous adjustments to the mustang to slow it down, slowed it down until vaginaburger could win all the time, but when 888 Holden Vodafone /red bull racing wich used to be the ford Vodafone team started dominating for ten years the Ford teams said where's some parity, the Holden teams said ford just needs to develope a better car, well that's what they did, they made the mustang V8 supercar, parity?????????? this category has had more than twice as many holdens than ford's, like I've been saying how's that fair???? Holden have always got the best drivers, and if a Ford driver comes up thru the ranks and starts winning , the Holden teams grab him for the next year, so Holden always has probability on there side, they're far more likely to win a championship or a Bathurst, like I say, Holden has hollow victories, Ford racing is more challenging, expecially when you add the fact race control will remove black flags from the top Holden driver( a first in all motorsports history), but in the same championship determining race they'll penalized the top contending Ford driver with a black flag for the same infringement, and they let Holden cars crash the leading ford off the track to ruin a victory expecially a championship deciding race or a Ford that's a few laps from winning Bathurst, they'll also do silly things like the Marcos ambrose baliclava warren luff incident, dirty low down sore loser tactics, Murphy crashed ambrose into the wall as he was 20 laps from winning Bathurst and he was way out in front, Murphy didn't even try to turn the corner he just rammed him into the wall hard,

Supercars does ban things like The Bump And Run, and we saw Car 11 Penalised at the end for turning, but this is what touring car racing about, a perfect middle between the wreckfests of NASCAR and the extremely clean open wheelers like F1
