Dropping in with a very special video... Aristotle and Dante has been one of my favourite LGBT novels since I read it back in 2018 and it has now been made into a movie. However, the movie is an independent production so we need to help out as much as we can to promote this movie so it gets the recognition it deserves!

I saw this movie like a month ago with no knowledge of the books or anything and I absolutely loved it! I immediately went out and ordered both books and I devoured them in a week. The books are incredible, the movie is incredible. I so wanted to see it again after reading the books but it was no longer playing in a cinema near me anymore so I’ll have to wait for streaming. I feel like not enough people know about or saw this movie so I’m here for any and all discourse that helps promote this beautiful story to a larger audience.

I watched the movie and I very much enjoyed it.
I found the movie at a local theater a few weeks ago and let me tell you - it was SO GOOD. Gorgeous even with some minor changes. I loved it! I had to go back and reread both novels. And yes, the actors are the perfect choices for Ari and Dante ❤

I started the second book today. I was on page 14 when I new I was going to love this book. Saw the movie about a month ago in theaters.

I was really hoping this was going to be shown at one of the BFI film festivals in London this year, and was so disappointed when it wasn't!! But I hope it makes it into UK cinemas at some point, it definitely deserves to get a wider international release. Fingers crossed!!

I LOVE the book and I was so excited by the trailer. But the movie was such a disappointment. The heart and soul of the book was NOT captured by the film. I was so sad at how flat the movie fell.
interesting as that’s not how a lot of people felt. but that’s why art is beautiful as it’s subjective.
@@JackieRossLavender yeah I'm so glad many people liked it because the story is a beautiful one. I'm hoping I'll like it on the rewatch once it's finally available to buy or rent.
I would definitely recommend rewatching! The first watch is hard because you try to hard to connect it to the book. The 2nd time I watched it I was able to let go of picking out all the differences. I've now seen it 12 times!!! Three times at film festivals and 9 times when it was in theaters. It's just phenomenal!
