That is an evergreen design. They made a cool design at the beginning and now can release new versions without making drastic changes in the design.
Tip: If you want a cheap new car from the dealer, wait until an updated model comes out, then buy the previous year's model at a highly discounted price!
That tip doesn't work on Wranglers. They hold their value, even while on the dealer lot.

I instantly noticed the tiny improvements on the front. I’ve always preferred SUVs that look like SUVs. Wrangler, old Defender, old Land/Rangerover, old Broncos and SCOUT! A “Jeep” should look like a “jeep”… not a floating “car”.
The side vent is functional and not just stuck on. The vent helps eliminate the hood flutter from the JK model.
Mark Allen would absolutely disagree with your assessment that the side vent is pure aesthetic. Upon the unveiling of the JL he specifically pointed it out and said its to reduce hood flutter.
I like the old one with the colour through the grille to be honest
Physical buttons will always be King 👑 in my opinion
New face (grill) is beautiful and very old school very iconic
I like the subtle changes, although I’ll wait for the next gen before swapping out my 2022 JLR.
i think the window switches place doesn't make sense cuz when u remove the doors u don't have windows to roll either way so they could've keep them where they suppose to be and use the space in the console for something else
I was about to say the same thing. I think that most people don't even remove the door, si why make it harder for the 99% of the time you ride with the door on to use lower the windows
Some people will only remove the front doors, keeping the doors on in the back if their young kids are riding along.

The bigger screen is cool, but you lose the round vents. You can point anywhere to the square old style that suck.

It's funny how Toyota's 4Runner has had the same body/design since 2009 and reviews call it a dinosaur and always focus on how out dated the truck is. But then Jeep has had the same design for the Wrangler for decades and no one mentions how old the design and features are.
The current JL Wrangler looks different from JKs, TJs, and YJs to me.

Too many errors in your commentary. You mention many times the "2018 model" but you're looking at a 2021 4xe. The painted bumpers are only available on the High Altitude package...
Im so close to buying a 2023 Rubicon here in Australia but I’m sitting on the fence now after this and researching a bit about the new 2024 model. Any suggestions and should I just wait it out? The new touchscreen and UConnect 5 is what has my attention the most
I have the new compass with Uconnect 5 it’s so great as fast as an iPad not like other systems with 2004 ish touch screen delays. I’d get the new tech for sure
@@RevelCris Yeah I was just shocked that they hadn't updated to Uconnect 5 till this day! But good thing I'm going to be a first time Jeep buyer so I can sort of nit pick at these little things lol. Appreciate the response!
Square headlights is blasphemous

Kinda hate how it starts looking like a G-Wagen... maybe it's just the example that you used, the big wheels and the painted bumper just don't belog there, imo
I like the square headlights of the 80s Jeeps. Most Jeep fans do not like them.
I could not agree more about not incorporating HVAC and seat controls into a touchscreen. I recently traded off my ‘19 Laramie that had a 12 inch display A significant part of the reason was because I couldn’t turn on or adjust the seat heat without going through that big flat panel display. I almost always missed the buttons it there was any vehicle motion. Now I have an 8.4 display with dedicated buttons and my hand knows exactly where to go and the buttons are big enough I can touch them without looking at them while I’m driving down the road.
One other thing I will never understand is why wrangler insists on leaving the window switches in the car when the windows are not in the car to me that’s kind of like bringing my TVs remote control when I go on a road trip. Yeah, I’ve got the buttons but they don’t do anything. I keep the remote control with the TV and I would prefer to keep the window switches with the windows Jeep must have a great idea but it’s a mystery to me. I heard people say it’s because I have wiring in the doors well yeah I have door locks on the doors anyway so you still gotta run wires to the doors whether you have the window switches in the door or not.

I don’t know. First I think round headlights is the best and anyone who says otherwise is not a Jeep lover they are like mistakes. Proof how many true jeeps have round light. Now I have a 2015 jk Willys 2door. I don’t have any plans for a newer Jeep. My phone can connect to the older cd player radio and if I need to upgrade I will download new maps or get a newer phone. Now I did drive my sister in law’s JL sport s 2door it was nice with the uconnect radio but I didn’t use it. I love the rounded vents because you can point them anywhere you want. Now the newer jeeps is getting power seats okay but how waterproof are they. I know the seats in the JL has airbags and if you got the 2door the seat release keeps breaking it cables inside the seat at around $300 each to fix on the 2door. Now safety is a good thing but why no put the release under the front of the seat and the back bottom ? And the front of the Jeep I don’t know but it not bad seen worse like the time they replaced the rounded headlights.
Oh man. I can just look at it and tell Jeep is going charge enough to put a few fools in the poor house. 😂

I don't give a crap about a 12" screen. I'm not watching movies/TV as I'm driving. I care more that Jeep FINALLY gave the Unlimited 5000lb of towing capacity... allegedly.
