I used to be a windscreen fitter / automotive glazier. Worked on a z1 in about 2001. Never seen another one since. The doors are crazy. That particular car also had camo print leather seats. Weird.

Yes it is. I have a Schabak model of one. It's lime yellow. The doors actually go up and down also.never seen one on the road in Australia.

I love that car. I imagine those doors on a modern car that would be awesome. What a crazy idea but that was car companies back in the day. They loved just coming up with random things and sticking them on cars. I wish modern car design had this sort of designing style. Another good video, look forward to the next 👍

I remember having rhe toy verion of this, the only toy car i had with push down doors, 30 years later my toy car finally makes sense, never knew the Z1 actually had those doors 🤔

As a BMW and Jeep fan, this is like a strange hybrid of the two that I want.
BMW lied when they said you can change all the panels in an hour. In reality, I hear it takes a day.

Dudes-- the Z1 windows work like most BMWs have for decades... put the key in the door and turn left and hold it. The windows will roll up automatically. Also, the steering wheel is not an E30 part, it's unique to the Z1.
Hmmmm, what about the m1? It's just conveniently located on the street when you pulled up after the paper round.
Nice car I'd love to see some Maserati cars they are always interesting.

Came to see what Alex and the guys are up to these days, but yeh they're obviously gone. Not the same without them. They were car throttle, it's like top gear without Clarkson, May and Hammond.

@CarThrottle at least you read the comments. Whoever is responsible for this great job! I am sure you are still waiting for things to calm down so the numbers come back up. Thing is, you destroyed the credibility of this channel so what is the purpose of watching this if we cannot bond with the presenters? Chances are they may come and go as the management, who clearly has no clue, wishes. Acting as if nothing happened, not even introducing the new presenters is clearly a very stubborn decision that must have been forced by someone whith enough authority and the certainty that they know better. Let that someone present it then, they must be unfirable enough for us to form a bond with them!

People really need to move on from this whining about the presenters. If you preferred the old crew go and watch them. If you didn’t then happy days.
We’re allowed to criticise them. How else will they improve? They didn’t formally introduce themselves, and are cracking on as if nothing has happened, which is just disingenuous and has further alienated the audience.
They have a lot of time on their hands sat in 5 hour long traffic for shitfest

@@yapira3d I saw it, they played it quickly and off the cuff. With much of the original staff leaving due to the way CT was run, a lot of the viewer base felt alienated as these guys were the face of the company. They are who we had the attachment to.
With no explanation of things that have contributed to this, it appears they are trying to carry on as though not much happened. In short, it looks like they haven’t learnt from mistakes and are carrying on regardless. Further alienating a big chunk of their subscribers.

It's not the presenters that are bad they're great it's the company that's shit. They used to be fantastic but then they were bought by the people who own it now. It's their own fault It's gone down hill maybe don't fucking cut costs and give your employees zero budget
