I had this exact floor plan from KZ. It was a great trailer for hunting/fishing trip. I could take places you would not imagine. I ended up giving to my nephew to live in to save money while in college. I bought it brand new in 2011 and he still lives in it today.
Thats what i call the family hook-up, you got the right mindset.
Super practical for a younger person/couple to get started with.
Or an older couple empty nesters
@@dave-d-grunt I’m 58 years old and married. Both daughters are in college. I buying one!
I like it but... a front window would make it perfect. Needs a window to give more natural light.
I purchased one of these AND that is my only complaint...you can't get a good cross breeze either .
Yes but front window are the first to leak.
@@sharongreutman4576 So what, let them leak then get them fixed.
We had one leak 3 yrs after we had it. Could tell until it rotted out the floor and ruined the camper.
@@angelabuxton2237 what did you pay?
Bought it from where?
Thats cute! Because it would be just me, I would convert the dinette into a full time bed and use the couch as the dinette/couch. But very practical for 1 or 2 people. Thanks for the review!
You are better off with a Geo Pro, mine is fully loaded, 19 feet and just about the same weight for less money
Hey JD, have you thought about doing a “So you got your first RV!” video? The initial set up, the dealer won’t tell you this, here’s a best practice and/or here’s a list of things to get before your first set up?
Most dealershups do a pre delivery walkthrough.

The toilet reaction had me rolling 🤣
Great little RV and great tour, thanks! That porcelain toilet shocked me too. LOL- MJ
I’m a single senior and have the 2016 version of this trailer. It has a front window and a lighter colour interior (fabric instead of vinyl seating all around). Much prefer the interior of mine. Apparently Jayco has had supplier issues for front windows so they are missing on a number of 2021 models. Too bad. It is a great little trailer though and fits in some of those tight campsite spaces. Tows perfectly fine with Chev Colorado.
@@randypickering5793 Thanks for that. Was looking at this with an F150 as we dont need all that much since we hike and actually do activities. Would just be nice not to have to pitch a tent
Super cute! It offers more than I was expecting from such a small rig - porcelain commode and a tub! I really like it!
Reminds me of the small trailers from 60's and 70's. Glad to see that style is doing well.
Wow! It’s actually bigger inside than outside!
That’s what she said
So it’s a TARDIS
A few more windows, and a second vent with a fantastic fan and I'm sold...
That long Couch actually is actually a good idea, as it gives more room to get dressed in the morning while the bed is set up, and a clean place to put the bed sheets when turning it back into a nook for eating.
Awesome little camper. I could live in this, not just vacation. 💜
Perfect for new Ford Maverick with 4K towing package.
I already have a version of this camper. I got it in 2016. It doesn’t have any drawers for silverware.
@@robertjauregui253 what’s that have to do with towing it?
I REALLY like this trailer. This unit, a half ton truck/suv and a weekend awaits! Thank you for sharing this!
I love it. It's perfect for my husband, my daughter, and myself.
It looks cheap. Probably better options from Rockwood Geo Pro or Flagstaff in the same class/size. Would not pay 22K for that.
I’d rather have a Casita!
We have the forest river brand . It has a wet not a dry bath.
Cheap=Jayco
its not 22k lol. their 195RB sells for 14-16k depending on what state you are in. Ignore the MSRP, they are way off.
Cute little camper. Ours is a 14 foot similar to this. Easy to tow. Easy to park, but taking the table down to make into a bed every night is a hassle and those tables are not light. Hard to get them on the narrow rails that support them. In the little bathroom your knees touch the door on a sit down. An older person is not going to enjoy getting down on your hands and knees to get items out of the fridge. These are great for two people but add a mastiff dog and it gets crowded!!! But for comfort they are much better than a tent and a lot less trouble than a popup.
Just finished a 3 1/2 week trip thru the Blue Ridge Parkway with our 17'. Got into a lot of places the the bigger rigs would have had trouble with. Size is great for wife and I.
This is a very good video because of the discussion about weight distribution and towing capacity, etc. Things to think about as we research what type of vehicle we'll need. Thanks much for talking about the guts of this instead of just the fluff.
Wow, I am so impressed that it has a toilet and a tub shower in such a tiny camper
U were right on point with the jackknife sofa. It would add even more sleeping and break up the floor plan.
Would replace table area with actual bed
You know what else is tiny. (The quality)
I like it. Great for a senior.
Even tho it's small it's very cool.
Very practical, has everything you need.
Love it! Camping is for being outside! Great space to cook, sleep then get out for hiking and exploring! We would definitely make a cozy bed- throw a mattress on top and keep it a bed all of the time! We'd use our packable chairs and table to eat meals outside. In case of rain, you could just sit on the couch bench to eat. Great concise space. Love that there are no slides! :)
This was extremely helpful! I'm looking at a used Baja version of this trailer and watching this video beforehand was very useful. Thanks for taking the time to post the info. I particularly like the technical info about towing considerations. I would not have thought a trailer this light would need a sway control hitch but since you mention it's light and wind could cause problems, that makes perfect sense. Thank you!
I like it a lot. The bathroom and wardrobe are important components for me. It's nice see an RV with a restroom that you can actually move around in. Very clever model.
First, I'm not one who owns a camper or RV but, I do enjoy watching the videos. I was surprised at the cost of such a small camper trailer. Then again, I still think a pair of jeans should cost $20! I agree with you, it looks very 'sterile', could be more 'homey' looking.
Day trip to the beach? Heck, I'd take this for a weeklong camping trip!
Looks nice. I like the fact that it has a separate shower and toilet. Not the wet bathroom. The sleeping area/dining area could be reconfigured to where there’s a single dinet table near the window in the back or you could be a flip down bed with the curtain
Perfect for one person. Love it👍
Nice. Good for a weekend or few day trip somewhere. 3 years away from retiring, I'll be checking it out. Thanks good review.
Cool for a Compaq R.V. It looks you have everything you need. Thanks.
Fantastic utilization of space.
Thanks for starting out with the specs - would like a close-up and hold on the sticker to get a good look at it.
Thanks for making.
Looks good for the single-traveling nomad person.
Don't let the size fool you... I wouldn't go anything less than a Ford F450 for towing it.
Peterbilt or train
@@TrevorVera Definitely Train 👍🤣
🤣
Was waiting for him to say we’d need at least a 3/4 ton to pull it
I have this same one and ive been pulling it with my honda odyssey mini van for 4yrs now no problems
Nice. Just what I was inquiring about for your channel. Greatly appreciate this.
Nice little RV. My opinion. A 2 person unit. I would've like if, they found a spot for a TV... Maybe a 18' flat screen over the dining table...
I like this one would of love this when my husband was doing softball tournaments out of town that could last into the next day.
That would be the reason to buy this one, Margaret (except the price is silly) but not a long weekend. Way too cluttered inside making the bed every night, clearing off the table.
That looks absolutely perfect for me, at 6 foot 6 i could use that bench as my bed and just use the other seat for storage.
Really like these no slide small trailers. It very similar to our first trailer. We traveled 7k miles with it
Nice little rv very similar to ours. Thanks for sharing.
I love it!!! Not the price, but the camper is great!
That bathroom! The best!
Great unit for those just starting RV'ing or for those with a smaller tow vehicle.
This is perfect for someone like me who travels solo to a Trap/skeet/sporting clays shooting tournament. All I need is a simple place to sleep/shower/eat.
Awesome deal. It would get us in an rv ahead of schedule.
I like it, very practical for one person!
This is perfect
For $20K, I would expect better materials. Everything looks "cheap."
Well, it is a Jayco!
Looks real cheap
In today’s market 20k is cheap. The trailers with better finishes are 5-10K higher. They are also lighter which seems a bit odd.
Built just like a Chevy 😂
I went with a premium trailer cost 35,000 new 23 ft I got it a few years old for 20 ,000 much nicer unit let someone else take the depreciation hit
I think it's cool for one person and a dog. I could dig it 👍
Very nice, perfect size for us
Considering the cost of kitting out a custom trailer, and the time and effort, equipment etc, getting one of these is a great idea. Not sure how it does in iffy weather, but if a hurricane is coming just pack up and go.
Looks very inexpensive. Particle board and cardboard construction. In 10 years, buy it for $3,000 and remodeling with quality components would make it a nice trailer.
I'm out on my ebike today, you know where all the campers were camping? Yep on the driveways...why the hell you'd own a bohemeth is beyond me, buy what you need for today and let tomorrow be tomorrow
I disagree, it is well made if you take care of it. The purpose is lightweight and the materials needed for a lightweight trailer are not the best materials. If you go super light then you have aluminum frames and cost go wayyyy up. Decent tires, azdel sides, led’s, good deal.
Show me where you can get a 2012 camper for $3k today and I'd buy two
Nice unit 👍
...Biggest problem with super small RVs is the super tiny bathroom, or worse yet a “dry bath” this unit has an actual porcelain foot flush toilet and a bath tub!!!
This is exactly what I wanted, smol, have everything, can upgrade my tank DYI style and many more.
Thanks for posting the MSRP. This let's me see if its in my budget.
Cool lil trailer👍
That's a really nice bathroom in this size. I wish these were available in Southern California.
I was thinking about getting a tent trailer but this would actually be perfect for my Sorento which is rated to pull 5k lbs.
Love it nice and compact.
Needs a nice big front window with an outside cover for protection.
Travel lite has a 14’ that is less than 1700 pounds. No wood in the walls or floor. Extremely well made. We can tow, fully loaded, it with our mini van. Looks so much nicer than this camper.
Super cute!!
Makes a really cool day use rig for the beach, your kids sports event, etc., and maybe a quick overnighter, but I’d go nuts spending longer in this RV. However, it is the size of a van, maybe a little bigger and there are a lot of filks living full-time in vans.
Just bought a 2021 model of this unit. This unit is awesome!
@jasonkolb1702 how is it holding up so far? all ok? and the fresh water is just 10 gallons? how do you manage that? Thanks
@@juliuscajilog9371 it holds up real good. I carry extra water with me. I take short showers
@jasonkolb1702 thanks for your feedback, was thinking of getting one.
@@juliuscajilog9371 they are a decent trailer. happy hunting
@@jasonkolb1702 Just to ask is the freshwater tank 10 gallons + 6 gallons DSI water heater? or is it 10 gallons including the 6 gallons DSI heater? thanks
Full bathroom... super cool x2.
I had a larger Jayco for years. I find that Jayco lay outs work really will. I agree with you about the bench seat could have been better.
Definitely a jack knife sofa would be much better than whatever that is "storage bench" . Thanks for the tour 👍🏻
We love our tiny skyline bobcat.
I like it. I'd probably leave the bed always setup, but I would generally be camping alone.
I wonder if the porcelain toilet was fitted because that's what they could get. Does seem an odd spec for this type of RV.
Love the size of this TT, but could configure it much friendlier for our use.
Definitely will hit a nitch in the market. And yes, a jack knife sofa would have been a ringer!!!
Awesome floor plan for a small
Trailer. If they can put a sink on the toilet, then it would be better, so it can flush with recycle water.
I like this trailer👍🏽
Love this!
That'd be great trailer to take off in the Hills to go hunting with for a few days
Hunters. The ultimate cowards. 👎
I love Jayco products so this particular style
I towed a single axle 21' Innsbruck with my 2020 ranger. The truck did great in a 15-20mph crosswind. I don't like single axle trailers that are at the axles maximum rating. The tires where boiling in the 95° heat @ 65mph. Dry it was 3100lbs
My kids show animals so we rent a camper to stay on the fairgrounds for the weekend to escape the heat and avoid travel to and from a hotel
That's perfect if I can could afford that that would be perfect to have to stay in. I'm in love with that size to.
Looks great! Potential to add-on or alter at whim.
This is an older layout actually with the front dinette/bed no pop out usually rear bath or side bath
I could live in that.
a front windshield would have helped make it feel more open and brighter inside.
I would remodel. Make a side dinette. And a full time double mattress east west.
And hydrilic shock storage under bed. Maybe even dual recliners and a lagoon table . Bathroom needs accent tile and so does kitchen area . Back splash.
Then over the bed storage and tall hanging type closet on the end.
I really like the fact that it’s not a wet bath
Not a bad looking unit, I would have to use it as a stationary unit for something like hunting, it would be a good place to bunker down and rest for the night
I think the floor plan is good for the size of the trailer.
Would be perfect for my son and his family
Range vent... super cool.
Love it.
This would be absolutely perfect for me if there was a front window. I'm planning on my RV retirement adventure and going to stay at various RV resort parks and want my small compact RV to have windows on all sides.
I really like it when you show travel trailers that are small. Just one question. You mentioned that one could place a lithium phosphate battery up front. Can one use a home battery charger to charge this type of battery before hooking it up to the travel trailer and heading out? Thanks. Really like your channel.
My family used to have a pop up that was heavier than this lol
I have a Starcraft 14 RB ar one which is the exact same camper owned by Jayco. There would not be enough room for you to get to the bathroom or walk if they would have put a jackknife sofa there. I have the front window which they did not include in the particular camper you showed. Although it doesn’t open it does lead in a lot of natural light.
I like it!
This model has been around forever, it was a stick and tin Starcraft AR One unit with the exact same interior and when Jayco acquired them they moved it over to their line. Starcraft had a hybrid variation of it with a single folding out tent bed in the rear, wished they had brought over that one too.
Love it. Perfect for a dude like me.
