  • A challenging review of Northwest Registered Agent, a service filled with complexities and hidden charges that left me pretty frustrated. As a marketing professional, I'm taking a critical lens to their 'Black Friday pricing' tactics and comparing them to other LLC services. Stick around as we dissect whether Northwest truly offers value to its customers.
Here's how I rank the top 4 LLC services based on buying an LLC through each service:

In the state I live, I have to have a register agent. Thanks for the heads up. I'm going to investigate it more 👍
And as an entrepreneur I want to treat my customers the way I want to be treated as a customer, with honesty 😄

It’s a good way to go about. Lot of fly by night biz out there that make a quick buck but they hardly ever last.

That's not the IRS's website - it's the US Treasury's website. The Beneficial Ownership information requirement is not an Internal Revenue Service requirement or filing. It's a filing of the US Treasury - their financial crimes division.

      Thanks for clarifying that part.

Can you make a video on making an LLC for day trading or stock investing? How to write off expenses related to that business

I’ll try and help as much as I can in this comment. Not a CPA but here’s what I know. Your write offs have nothing to do with the LLC itself. You can have write offs as a simple sole proprietor with a DBA. The LLC is for limiting your liability not for write offs (but you still get them).
As long as they’re legit expenses you can write them off but some things are an immediate write off while others have a depreciation schedule.
From the IRS website “The kinds of property that you can depreciate include machinery, equipment, buildings, vehicles, and furniture.” So those types of expenses may have a depreciation schedule meaning you write off a portion of the expense over a specified number of years.
I’d assume a standard LLC would be fine trading but not sure if it’s necessary or not if it’s just for your own investments (attorney would advise there). Now if you were a licensed professional trading for other people 100% you’re going to want an LLC bec your liability goes way up. But if it’s just you investing for yourself there’s certainly risk because it’s investing but the risk of you suing yourself is none.

I called and spoke with someone at Bizee, must be his side hustle because his number came up as a plumbing company, which is fine, and he said that the only way to have your business address not be your personal address is to use their virtual mailing program for $29/month. Which was what I though the reason for having a registered agent was. When I asked about where the mail goes he said it will go to both addresses. Evidently it's all one building just different departments. But, we can't use the registered address for mail. So, it's slightly confusing as to what is being said and what may be reality. Just an FYI

I believe the registered agent's address is where you can receive legal documents. However, I do not think your supposed to receive other mail there, which is partially the reason for offering the virtual mailing service that includes an address with a suite #.

@senseiale9816 Thank you! I ended up using someone else just because they have an office where it seems I'll actually be spending a lot time. This just popped up but it all fell in line perfectly for me. Thanks again!
