A less fancier version for flight attendants would be FANTASTIC! We use hot logic, because some hotels focus more on looks than having microwaves in the rooms. Prior to COVID I was spending $15/ meal if I wanted something hot. And airport food gets old quick! I don’t need an app (actually can’t use it up in the air anyway).
Edit: I ended up buying this product. It’s worth the money. I’ve been trying it out to see how well it works, and it definitely works well! The manufacturer says it takes 2 hours for the food to heat up, but I’ve found that as long as you leave the box inside its insulated bag, it actually warms up the food quicker and keeps it at a good temperature. Also, the manufacturer states in their site that the battery life is 2.5 hours. But I’ve found that for me, in that time frame, only about 50% of the battery gets used. Also, when I saw the container it comes with, I thought it was kind of small, but it’s not. It actually holds about 2 servings of food. I can’t eat the entire container worth of food in one sit. So you could either fit enough food to feed 2 people, or more! Or, you could fit 2 servings for yourself and get lunch and dinner out of it. I’m super happy with my purchase. This will be very useful to me at work.

Save for it! I just bought it, and it is the BEST invention. It is truly a portable lunchbox, it heats up the food, it’s absolutely fantastic. Plus, it feels really well made. When I first held it in my hands, it felt substantial. It’s worth the money. Do what you need to do, my friend. You will wonder how you ever got around without it!

Is there a setting where you could choose what time it starts warming the food?

Got one on order. On a special diet for GI issues and this will be super helpful mainly for dinner when on the road away from home. Food won't keep hot in a thermal container (in addition to being harder to load) more than around 4 hours but this allows meal transfer from a cooler 12 hours later as needed. My vehicle turns off the 12V outlets when the key is out of the ignition so this is likely cheaper than paying someone to modify the vehicle and gives more options when away from the vehicle.
All truckers need this.

I really like this and my coworker has one, I just wish it was double the size too small for my needs I eat two meals a day and this just won’t cut it.
Buy another container and get a insulated cooler bag, put a frozen ice pack in it to keep it extra cold and then swap the containers over once you’ve eaten your first meal!

Really wanted to order this for my husband because he complains about having no microwave at work. Went to the website and you can only pre-order with no guarantee delivery date. That sounds scary to me. I wouldnt want to get it in a month or even longer than that.. I found this by searching for a product like this on Google yesterday and you guys popped up. I wish this was in store. Also wish there was a contact number to call with questions. It's like your handing out 200 dollars on a whim. Not enough reviews out there to trust it. Also when you can't call a company refunds are a mess. I'm still interested because I haven't found another company with a wire free lunchbox after charged. 😔
How long does it take to charge? I’m a railroader and I use a hotlogic but this being cordless seems a lot better.
Haha being battery-powered is totally freeing! Charging takes about 3 hours and one charge is good for one heating cycle which is a total of 2.5 hours of heating. We also have car inverters available for you to charge while on-the-go!

i just did a search about battery lunch box, there is literally none, but also id guess the demand isnt high at all..
basically this is just for trades, even trades has to have power cord to work by law nowadays.....
(and my last job didnt even have any thing....had to eat cold lunch everyday for a week. imagine how handy this product would be )
