Im a trans guy too, and as of recently, everything has been ok :) nothing is ever gonna be the same as it was when you were happy, but if you have hope, and cherish the memories from the past, they will make you stronger if you hold them close to you, and maybe one day, you can make more happy memories. But nothing will get better unless you try your hardest. If opportunity doesn’t knock, you can always build a door. That all depends on what works for you, even if that means sitting in your room to recover and think. Just make sure you dont get stuck in there. Escapism never ends well. There isnt a set meaning to life, you get to decide what that is and thats the beauty of it, just dont let the meaning of life be sitting on your floor stuck in your imagination. If you keep hope close to your heart, its all that you need to empower yourself to do better and get the help you need. Hope makes life worth living, dont waste it.

The part about characters being forced to be straight is uncomfortably close to "if you're not gay, then you're straight." Like I get that the characters were written into het relationships because whatever writers or higher-ups didn't want them to be gay and wanted them to be seen as straight, but we don't need to mimic their narrative of "if not gay, then straight." (As for Good Omens, aren't they actually a canonical example of neither gay nor straight, but definitely in love?)
