I'm not the best singer in the world...and especially since I started smoking at 26...i'm 40 now...you T F starts smoking at 26????.....but anyways, my ex wife said Richard Marx was one of the only few I could actually sing...i'm subscribed and thank you for doing Richard Marx...not too many people do Richard Marx....fun filled fact....he's a very good song writer just like Prince....he wrote a number one hit song and I think a one hit wonder for an all girl group called Vixen..." Really ? That doesnt make sense. When singers get older they usually lose the ability to sing specific notes and thats why sing then songs a little different. Iam not sure who said that but I think it was Celine Dion but not 100% sure anymore. Could also have been Mariah Carey or Whitney Houston, one of them, really cant remember but I know it was one of them :).
Great choice once again India as Richard Marx is one of the premier quintessential songwriters and singers from The 80's that dominated the radio airwaves. One of my favorite cuts by Richard Marx as well as Right Here Waiting & Hold On To The Nights. Keep up the good work doing your thing with the reactions.

This song was wrote about his honeymoon in Hawaii with his new wife! And he Incorporated that wonderful feeling into the song. It was amazing song and it really sounded so sincere that he was really in love. To me Richard Marx had the most soothing voice in the 80s
"Should've Known Better" is also a good song by him.

This song always gets me. A big part of my high school memory songlist. Nothing can recreate the feel of that first summer romance and this puts me there, and makes me melancholic.
Richard Marx was the opening act for REO Speedwagon when they performed at my university in 1987-ish...(?).
I was paid to run spotlight for that concert, so I was backstage about 2 hours before it started. I was standing there smoking a cigarette when he walked up to me and started chatting to me.
He was every bit as cute in person as he is on videos, and he was just really super-nice and not at all stuck on himself.

Richard Marx is one of my favorite male artist. I've seen him live a number of times over the years and he always puts on a great live show. He's one of those few artists that sounds great live as well as his Studio work. He has a great sense of humor so if you ever get to see any of his shows Live on CZcams I suggest you take a watch because you might become more of a fan. For some of his other works that I would recommend you react to: should have known better, don't mean nothing, hold on to the nights, satisfied, Angelia, too late to say goodbye, Right Here Waiting, hazard oh, the way she loves me oh, one more try come on now and forever and Touch Of Heaven.

He still sounds the same, and he's still recording. He can literally unplug his guitar, walk out into the audience and have the entire Royal Albert Hall captivated. Try Hazard for a song with a story, or Satisfied for something a bit rockier.
