Kobe was an icon. Wish we could’ve heard his HoF speech. 😞
After all the B's this is the first thing I thought we won't get to hear his Hof speech smh
That’s what I’m saying man. I’ve been waiting for his speech since he retired
Im holding on to a piece of hope that he had it anyway written somewhere🙏🏽
Watch dear basketball, it could never be his HOF speech but it can be a goodbye.
I don’t think a lot of people had realized that we don’t even get his HOF speech and his career was so good he could have got inducted after the first year he retired
Imagine having to talk about Kobe’s death on live tv for 8 hours straight. That would be too much for me, respect to all these guys.
Ay 8 is the right number though. They should have done it for 24 hours the next day.
Bro not everyone is soft. He is just one man and he is not their family
@@kvngcjgaming5559 you’re a clown. Life is precious, forming bond with another human is what life is truly all about. He touched peoples lives in a myriad of ways.. that’s what happens when you truly give your all to your passion.
@@jam3152not everyone is a kobe fan
Kobe is doing God's work. His death has forced everyone to appreciate each other more.
👍😪😪😪real talk!
🗣
Amen. He is bringing people that haven't talked in years together.
Waking people up
God used him for a reason, a lot people started to understand how important is to love each other. God drafted him #1 for a reason. Greatness straight to the heaven.
raredreamfootage 💯
"the day Kobe Bryant died" should not even be a thing :( Absolutely heartbreaking.
We lose Kobe and no one can get Kanye into a chopper. There's no God.
Still feel un real
Everybody dies sooner or later fool!🧐🤦
Saddest day in Sports.
Saddest day in Los Angeles.
Everyone dies..ppl lose fathers, mothers and children. Even at young ages.
Just hoping Paul can get with his dad. Family is everything man.
And him & KG patch up things with Ray
Same. We should applaud Paul Pierce for even sharing something that personal with the audience. That's deep.
Filip Šlingar God bless🙏🏽💛✝️
Bro what
@@astheticlemon5312 God bless you and your family too! 🙏
How Stephen A Smith spoke about Kobe Bryant's career with The Lakers is complete facts about him. I feel the pain of Kevin Garnet as he cried over The Lakers legend's death
@dantelo88 I saw your mama cried
@@timhoward5 God bless you!
I've grown to love Stephen a lot over the years, particularly this week. He is truly doing the man right, and being very strong for him and you can tell hes heartbroken. If people around the world dont know a lot about kobe, they can start with listening to what Stephen has to say about him. How he talks about his legacy is very respectful
@@timhoward5 sorry your mama didnt give u enough attention when u needed it
@dantelo88 I saw Duncan bawling his eyes out . Although he was their opponent, the respect and love is universal
They should call Ray Allen, life is short.
@Larry Myers Ray left and went to miami. Their rivals at the time, Celtics squad felt a way. I sent you two links hopefully you will see the rift
I think Paul and Ray talk here and there at least
I still don’t understand why that beef dragged for so long. It seems trivial.
@@Trey_W because they are children lol
Paul and Ray are cool. KG I'm pretty sure still hasn't talked to him.
Garnett, McGrady, and Kobe were really tight
how'd you know
@@alitoroganan2442 they go way back. watch kobe x kg in the 90's, then watch the last kobe x tmac interview
@@StrictlyGuitar101 yea but after that they prolly dont talk or see each other, mac and kobe were friends and kobe publicized tmac very well, like what a true friend will do "toughest to guard" but kg and kobe hmm
You can tell Kobe and Garnett were close and respect each other
All them 70s babies was close I love that group and era of NBA players from 98-2010
When someone's death impacts one to the point of reconciliation with their estranged father, you know that person has had a profound effect on the world.
Everything about Kobe is unbelievable from beginning to end it was and still is a beautiful story to watch.
And he managed to build and keep a beautiful family at the same time.
Well said
And it took him dying for the haters to realize this.
Franklin Yi i appreciate this comment.
believe me box office movies of kobe are coming
I cant imagine how KG handled it, one of the most emotional players to have ever played.
Paul Pierce and Kevin Garnett need to reconcile with Ray Allen. Life's too short for that pettiness.
Absolutely💯
Hopefully in time for the Hall of Fame induction ceremony
Facts
Paul talks to Ray and is cool with him. KG hasn't.
it will happen
Kevin 💚🤍
Kobe 💛💜
Those two made the nba for me
That was touching Paul. Leave no regrets “The Truth”.
My mind still can’t fathom Kobe gone , since I was 10 I looked up to him . words can’t even explain how I still feel after this loss. I am so hurt
Just imagine how poetic his HOF speech would be.. He won an award for a short film and he made an amazing letter to all his fans when he played his last game at Staples. Kobe was intellectually on a different universe.
If they had inducted him in 2019 just like they should have and didn’t arbitrarily wait another year or two to do it, we would have heard it! As long as you’re fully retired for 3 seasons in a row, you shouldn’t have to wait any longer to be inducted into the Hall of Fame!
Kobe wanna say thanks for the memories, the grit, the passion and for laying out there, so many injuries and proceeded to keep pushing, the made shots, the Mamba face, the championship celebrations. I never met Kobe personally, but for 20 years I cheered and felt like we grew up together. Thanks Kobe for it all. I'm a Laker and will forever be Lakers fan.
I know Kobe's HOF speech, would've been nice. Kobe was my GOAT!!!!
Rest well Kobe Bean Bryant.
Mamba out!!!!!
Kobe is changing the way the nation is viewing their closest relationships
I hope KG and Ray can talk it out.
Life's too short.
What happened between them ? I didn't know those two have a beef
@@cupcake4822 Ray left Boston to join Bron in Miami for less money and didn't give the other guys a heads up. KG, Pierce and Rondo felt betrayed by that cause the Heat and Celtics had a mini rivalry goin on and joined the enemy in their eyes. That's basically it..
Yup and westbrook should call KD cause lifes too short
Kristopher Ewing Some context:
Ray was on the trade block multiple times since the championship season. They tried trading Ray and Rondo to the Pistons and Rondo got pissed Ray informed him “aggressively.” That he needed to get his attitude together or something.
The Celtics try to trade Ray and he’s already taking the lesser role, and took a small contract so the others could get their bread. So really, this one on KG...
Why you care
Its almost 1 yr since kobe's passing, this really sucks man
Almost a year later. I still can't believe it.
"Its was all about titles not conference championships"💯
-stephen smith
Clippers don't have either
I actually wonder, who in the right mind as a coach or player, yea we shoukd get that conference title and forget about the finals
I still can't get over the fact that he joined the Lakers when he was 17, died at 41 yrs of age and that equals his jersey # 24 wow!!!
Yeah ... In fact somany sign all over the media. He is like prophet of basketball.
And 24 (his number) and 2 (Gianna) equal 26 the day they died. 😥
There are so many angles to look at in this tragedy. It will forever be heartbreaking 💔
PLAYED 20 YEARS FOR THE LAKERS, DIED 4 YEARS AFTER HE RETIRED. HAD HIS FIRST DAUGHTER AT AGE 24.
Its called a coincidence
julie clifford this comment has me so confused it’s so much wrong with it smh
I hope Paul has success in whatever form when reaching out to his dad. Takes courage, and I’m happy that there’s some form of positivity taken away from all of this.
Death has a painful way of reminding us of how we all should live
2 years +
And… As humble & sincerely as i can put it.. it still hurts.
Paul felt it.
ALL.
Kobeeeeee rest in peace with your daughter. Blessings always to Kobe and family. Blessings to all families.💜💛💜💛💜💛
Kobe you’re gone but impacts like this...are so beautiful to see. Hopefully it’s maintained and sucks lives had to be lost for this realization but unfortunately the reality is we sometimes take things for granted.
this still hurting me inside! super emotional pain till now. god bless his soul and every people died with him and his daughter Gianna.
If there is any silver lining to any of this, is that people are coming together and ending pettiness and bitterness among family and former friends. It's a shame that Kobe had to pass away for this to happen, but it always seems to be that way
After a couple of days when this is over they will get back at it. lol
@@RiruKrypto_ people will never change no matter what- Covid 19
With Kobe's death it was specific though - because Kobe died estranged from his parents. They never approved of his wife Vanessa and they had a huge falling out - even ended up in legal battles of them selling his meromabilia. Paul Pierce seeing that I think saw how horrific an early death was leaving their family "unhealed" and the parents to have to live with that the rest of their lives wanted to make sure he didn't die or have his father die - and have similar regrets.
Kobe, just by representing greatness has left a legacy that transcends basketball
What a great man. Respectable rival to Kobe along with Garnett.
I love and admire the way Stephen A articulated that
Wow! "This has prompted me to have a relationship with my father". Even in death Kobe is inspiring all of us to come together
Losing nipsey and kobe hurt alot i didn't know them personally but i watch them grow. It feels like i just lost to little brothers.
Still unbelievable
This Loss will Forever Hurt as a big time kobe fan
what stephen a said was on point. he brought a standard of excellence back to the Lakers and held the team to a high standard.
If you love what you do, all your hard work and perseverance will pay off 💯.
-Mamba
I really still can’t believe Kobe gone man
One thing I can say with confidence. Kobe's Reverence in life from everyone far outweighs the love he is receiving in his death. That's why so many are ready to make changes in life and pro basketball. He was bigger than the 5 championships he won and was just getting ready to flex the muscle that only He, Jordan and Lebron have.
Lebron coasts by on size and athleticism don’t compare him to the 2 goats
@@user-oh8qx7os7o I'm talkin about Global recognition. Not just basketball measurables or Goat status you idiot.
@@user-oh8qx7os7o you mean like bringing his black friends up with him instead of just depending on the white man. Taking ownership of his career like no other athletic accept for Floyd which is why players have empowerment. You mean that guy who opened up a school in his home town for under privilege kids cause he was was one growing up. You sound like a hater to me

Lakers fan but I love me some KG. He was kind of a combination of Kobe's intensity and Shaq's fun-loving spirit.
I hope things work out for you Paul. Inspirational
God bless kobe, KG, and Pierce
Respect .... to Paul Pierce for his comment
He is one of the greatest players of all time l know his
Wife is hurting but were so
Proud of him
I miss you Kobe
Kobe probably had an amazing HOF speech ready....
And we would have heard it if he’d been inducted in 2019 just like he should have been!
I just cant picture kg crying
Weird knowing I'll never hear his HOF speech
“We won, anything’s possibleeeeeee”
lol! YES!!! KGEEEEE
A day doesn’t go by and I don’t think or watch something classic about “THE LATE GREAT KOBE”😢
We all gotta do better, I appreciate him for being real, and being a grown man and asking his mother to make it happen just so he can have a better relationship with his father. My prayers are with him when he does meet with his father. He definitely shined a light in my heart to tell my love ones that I love them more than I should. Rest well to both him and his daughter. And all, walk with peace and wellness
dang this is when you truly reach that icon status the whole world is in pain
life doesn't even feel real with kobe gone. what universe am i in?
I love Kobe but i have to
admit, this kind of death has added to his legacy. I rather he had not died but in terms of his legend, he will be more remembered now than he would have died of old age. His story is stuff of legends. This is crazy.
I 100% agree. I will say though if Kobe were given the choice "become even greater and go out like a legend" or "die of old age with your family healthy and surrounding you" he would have chose the latter without thinking.
Right now Rondo, KG, and Paul gotta clear the air with Ray Allen
Once again my condolences go out to Kobe Bryant, his daughter and the Bryant Family and the Families involved in this unfortunate tragedy. My prayers go up to all 😖🙏, and I Pray that God will see everyone through in a time of of need & comfort. We all have differences within our families and our friends, just like my mother stated before she passed away give me flowers, while I'm living, because life is too Short. Kobe Bryant was Loved on and off the court, and will forever be cherished. May God continue to Strengthen, Unite, and Heal the Families, along with Support. Blessing S. 🙏
A LEGEND NEVER DIES 😭😭😭😭
This hurts, I’ve cried so many times I can’t believe what happened to Kobe Bryant and his daughter and the others on the helicopter when I;first heard of this I really thought it was a prank until I saw cnn headline
His death was the start of a horrible horrible year! It still feels surreal. So many deaths this year 😔 Kobe and his daughters death and everyone that was on broad was just so unfair.
L.A has really been hit hard as of late.. that community probably hasn't even process the loss of losing Nipsey Hussle so early in his life. Now throw Kobe in there and I'm sure it must equal the pain. I'm from Detroit and even I HURT when we lost the young Kings. 👑👑
U cant compare a gang member to a atg baller like kobe
Why are you comparing a gang member that promoted black on black violence to a stand-up person like Kobe? You would be from Detroit 👎
I didn't even know Nipsey before his death. How is the impact of their deaths similar? Makes me feel bad just talking about Kobe like this 😢
@dee4560 "Hussle wanted to focus on "giving solutions and inspiration" to young black men like him. He denounced gun violence through his music, influence, and community work. He spoke openly about his experiences with gang culture. Affiliated with the Rollin' 60s, he often performed and worked with rival Bloods-affiliated rappers to set an example."
Soooooo..... where's the part where he was promoting BOB violence? 🤔
If we treated every innocent persons tragic death like this one this country and the world would be a much better place to live in! 🤗
Thata deep when paul pierce said he asked his mom for reconciliation with his father. I lost my father not too much longer after this aired & im watching it again.
Life is interesting man
Pierce is right, this one is different 🥺😔
Paul is hurting. You can hear the pain in his voice.
Respect ✊🏽
I agree with pierce. This one is just different.
Kobe was a celestial being walking amongst us.
I just keep going back to that interview KG had with John Thompson the year after the Wolves reached the WCF, and he was every bit the competitor Kobe was. And he's the only one who didn't come out with a statement. Must be in a world of hurt.
Thank you Steven A. You always was cool wit talent you made the lil wayne KOBE song even more fire and motivated me to be a even better person on an off the court and especially in life
Agree with Paul, its different. I journal and I sat down and wrote kobe a letter just pouring out my feelings. Still even today Feb 22,2020 it doesn't seem real...but it is!!😥😥❤
Almost 8/24.. pain still there.
Love you Kobe forever
"I don't know if it'll ever end." Paul pierce
I just hope and pray Paul can get along with his dad
Am I the only one who find Paul Pierce as a charming and funny human being. This man is real
My ex even called me to see if I was ok that right there should tell you what this man meant to me love you bean ❤️ worked in the nba hoping to see you in person one day ...unfortunately that won’t happen 💔💔💔💔💔💔💔💔💔💔💔💔💔💔
Why do legends die young

Paul pierce is a good dude
To also add in the timing it was about to be the end when Kevin Garnett got injured that season after that year probably not gonna Orlando he told them to require Ron Artest

It changed me as well 😢
I have to agree that Kobe’s death is different. I have never seen a world mourn a person’s death like what happened to Kobe. His death has changed many people for the better and hoping everyone can be a better person, God fearing, hard worker, great father/mother, creative and many more like Kobe.
He set the standard for not just basketball but on how to live life. He wasn’t perfect but no one is. Only one person was perfect that is recorded in history. His legacy and spirit lives on and someday, we will meet.
God Bless,
Mark

I didn't cry when I saw all the tributes to kobe Bryant but I felt sad
Nice speech paul perice
It's just amazes me to see Kobe's death somehow touches majority of people "ALMOST" the EXACT same way ... FAMILY! Get in touch with your love ones somehow! someway! but family and togetherness was the thing!
💔
Kevin Garrett reminded me of Kobe Bryant
Kevin Garnett, Pau Gasol, Tim Duncan, and Dirk Nowitzki have not done any interviews yet. 😢
fortunately the Truth is still the undying Truth who survived 17 times stab.
Paul Pierce was deep
It's just different bro, real talk.
