I don’t know why but Mike not even attempting to wipe the tears off his face messes me up every time. A man of his stature and image, who protects his legacy more than any athlete who ever lived, just not even thinking about the tears streaming down and just getting through this moment is just…heavy man.
Mike is a real man. He doesn't have to wipe away his tears.
@@globalmonkey007 🙄🙄🙄
A real man's man
That means everything when you feel no shame for showing emotion and affection to someone. Especially if they're no longer with us.
Honoring our own emotions is so much more important and admiral than hiding it so small-minded people don't feel uncomfortable. Men need to cry more. Expressing sadness and grief is incredibly healthy.

Kobe's daughter passing with him was the worst. It was something that shook the whole world. Kobe was special. He really was way too young. I watch this sometimes, just because it is good to cry here and there. I have a daughter her age and it just breaks my heart. That was a very sad day, because it reminds me of other good friends that passed away too soon. Jordan was a rock, and it shows you these guys are all people.

Shaq and Kobe won three championships together. Yeah, they often argued and fought like most brothers do, (Much of it stirred up by the media IMO) but the respect was always there for one another.

3 years later, I still couldn't believe he's gone.
Kobe's passing was one of the hardest things to cope. When I was just a teen living in China, Kobe was the first basketball player I've known. I would watch lakers game during the lunch break with my classmates and admired all his moves! I bought so many kobe's posters and signed his name in Chinese (lol). 10 years later, I moved to the states. My top checklist was to see laker's game in staples center. I still vividly remembered seeing Kobe playing on court. He nailed it in the 4th quarter and lakers won ! That was a dream come true moment of my life. I wanted to say thank you dear Kobe. You gave me strength and hope. Now i'm 35 and soon become a mother. I will teach my kid to play basketball and watch your games together. Lots of love.
Thank you for writing this

I just recently discovered Kobe. I am not into basketball but CZcams just brought him on my phone wall. So i watched some of his interviews and how amazingly his messages inspired me within my role as a leader with people around looking at me as an example, including my great son! His wisdom brought another dimension to understand the dedication and love to what I do in life. Incredible person and thanks to his book which can be taken into many other areas not only within sport self discipline. Book accelerates the personal cognitive map for who we are and what is our purpose in life. Thank You for this inspiration and sending love to heaven. ❤️🙏
He was a very different soul to the average man, it was a pleasure to watch him. The tenacity, the grit, the undying strive to be better every single day in anything you do. I try to incorporate that every day.
Coming from someone who doesn’t watch basketball, Kobe’s death hit me harder than any other celebrity death. He was one of those untouchable athletes in my mind. Someone who would be around for a very long time. Suddenly he dies in horrific way alongside his daughter. Came out of nowhere in the worst year of everyone’s lives. Absolutely heartbreaking. Rest in peace Kobe & Gianna Bryant ❤️
MJ rarely gives public speeches & hadn't spoken publicly about Kobe since his passing. It goes to show just how much he was hurting & how much he loved Kobe like a little brother.

I think most of the dislikes come from Kobe’s rape allegations. (I’m not hating, just giving my opinion.)
He is not dead, just shooting 3 pointers in a different hood
Faxx

In that times nba wasnt as competitive like in the 80, 90 and 20. 6-0 in finals, score at will, over 10 scorer titles.. There isn't a goat discussion for guys who have knowledge in basketball
