Beautiful cakes? Clear, concise yet thorough explanation. Up to this point I wasn't sure if I should buy the discs but you've proven they are a worthwhile investment. I've decorated cakes about 20 years and have always struggled with getting a smooth finish. Thank you so much for your tutorial.
Thank you so much, this means a lot! I'm taking the leap this summer to reduce the number of cake orders I take, so I can concentrate on putting together more helpful videos for other cakers! I'm glad you liked this one!
Thank you for clear /concise instructions from start to finish! I’ve watched so many videos, but was still left with questions... thanks for sharing this method! I’m a new subscriber and would LOVE more !
That is perfection. I have been using this method, but I did not put a thin layer of buttercream on my disk to prevent pits and holes. I am going to do that from here on out.
I have seen many videos on discs but yours is the best one. Your other video also is a very good tip! Please continue to post more videos. New subscriber!
I have been using their disks for months and I love how you put buttercream on the disk as well. It gives minimum touch up to the top of the cake. I have been putting buttercream just on the top but always have to fill in small gaps. I will give this a try. Also, is there a reason why you don’t do a crumb coat?
Thank you thank you thank you! I’ve used your method twice now in the last 2 days and it is amazingly flawless! I have tried so many others, and finally, one that works perfectly for me! 🥰❤️
This is the best technique I ever saw from all youtube videos Thanks for sharing it, came on right time for me 😊 Just tried it today and the result was just brillant, perfect, exactely like yours.. As first time I am trying the cake design I am sooo happy I will never thank you enough ❤️ Please try to upload more videos like covering cake with fondant

So if I'm icing a 8inch cake what size acrylic disk should I use?
What size acrylic you used ?
Recipe for this chocolate icing please
Great help
I’ve seen some videos on Instagram where one cake disc is used for the top only, do you think that can still achieve the same results?
If your bench scraper is flush with the bottom board, then I don't see why this wouldn't work!?! Give it a try and let me know how it goes!
Impeccable! Can you link the acrylic disks? I don’t see them on CakeSafe.

when remowing the discs, there are cracks in the cream ,why does this happen, can you please inform🙏
I suppose these acrylic discos are properly sized a bit larger than standard cake sizes! 🤷♀️
Ok now to go put it to use

Is this chocolate ganache ?
I'm using an American chocolate buttercream in this video
No
U can't do this with a 14 inch round cake
What is the purpose of this? For all this rigmarole you could have done 5 cakes. I wouldn’t let Crisco anywhere near a cake.
