Some people seem to be confused with this sounding “jazzy” and not “bluesy”. This is still a blues. It still follows the whole 1-4-1-5-4-1 yadda yadda business of a blues but it’s going to have extra spicy chords and extensions and jazz phrasing.
@@micoveliki8729 I want you to tell all the great black jazz musicians that the blues they played was some white ass Jacob collier shit. Jazz history is black history bro. Please educate yourself.
Hey Foe, can you do a short walkthrough on how you set up your DAW for livelooping stuff like this? I've been trying to figure it out lately, and cant get it to work seamlessly like you. Anyways, you sound great man, keep it up!
Maybe you could create 4 tracks and assign the midi instruments, set a 12 bar loop, and use sustain pedal as a remote control to change the track that is being recorded. That way all 3 instruments sound in a loop, and you could play the 4th indefinitely. In Reason 12 that should result in what you're looking for, but probably it's way easier than this. I've never tried but it's what comes to my mind
@@Hockey-pd7wd he might also just be recording the midi all with one instrument (like the e piano) and cut up the midi into the other instruments for the final product
Oh. My. God. ❤❤ Someone who manages to meme on the fact that blues is downplayed as a simple walking bass and a piano in blues scale and actually plays an unnecessarily complex blues tune so he memes om the previous meme by showing how complex it can actually be. *takes a breath in the key of F#* 😥 All in one video, and that while maintaining a Harmonic balance of Funny and Serious. Was about to write the same😅 but for people who have noch clue, they maybe get confused when they hear a classical Guitar 1,4,5 Blues😜
@@Broccoli75 nah not realy, the blues was there before the jazz. Jazz ist heavily influenced by blues 😜 it originated from the worksongs :)
This is some white ass shit jackb collier shit "blues" (and im fricking white) this HAS NOTHING TO DO With the real old down south blues

bro never fails to completely blow our minds with these.
I like to think he's filming (perfectly) with his left hand at the same time
The chord progression is called Bird Changes after Charlie Parker’s “Blues for Alice” and “Au Privave” among other tunes.
Love this series, 1am here and im about to sleep with this. Hoping to see you play live if you ever do.
I would love to hear an extended version of this one. These are so good
Where was this glorious creation when I started playing blues 3 years ago.

you are brilliant. love your videos and very educational for me :) thank youuu
1分で満足出来る動画だなぁ👍。
thats blues with jazz style LOVE IT!
This is very good job you're doing for the layman 😊🔥💯
Amazing and inspirating
Replace the ding a ling with a four on the floor kick and you've got all the elements of a proto-rave techno track.
you are a bloody genius
So good!
Actually very useful. Thank you!
Good job mate!👏🏼
Increadible
You are the man.
Thank you for putting education in my memes
Exellentissime bravo!
best series on yt 😂
His how to play series is helping me play guitar too 🤣
This is more like jazz, but good work dude
I like how keyboard dancing as you play
Godly lesson
Omg, finally found a video by Hello Foe without the lick!!
Damn you're good. Teach me!
the lee morgan lick...
The beginning of that solo reminds me of the first solo from Moanin by art blakey.
bravo!!
Definitely need this done for boogie woogie and 12 bar blues
This aint blues this is Jazz.
this sound like jazz though
I know this has been out for a while, but it’s giving Persona 5 meets Animal Crossing’s Roost
That bass part just reminds me of something in a way.
Blues jazz is spicy
this is creative.
Was the beginning part of your solo the first solo from moanin' - art blakey and the jazz messengers?
We were auditioning for a school performance, but the bass player only had one lesson the bass. So this is what we did.
What program did you use for your drums, or are they just samples?
What software do you use to loop like this? I have this keyboard and didn't know it could be this powerful
That lee morgan solo
E L L I C K I T O - Chan
What kind of key board is that, also that sounded awesome.
Quoting Moanin' should be illegal if the solo isn't at least 5 minutes long.
What, no lick at the end??
Just kidding, this is terrific. Great material.
Hello, funny Chilean man! What do you think about potsu?
I'm gonna need the name of that EP plugin or whatever it is you're using
reminds me so much of st germain
How do you switch from the different pianos so fast while in the loop?
Nice!
Have you got a rock blues as well as a jazz blues?
How do u make these loops
Everything except for the solo part reminds me of (hard) bop more than blues😄
What synth do you use for you bass lines?
it sounds great. what kind of piano is this? it's not rhodes, i know this sound but i don't know the name of instrument
I think thats pure jazz :)
What would you call this style of blues? It feels different from what I know but it still feels bluesy
It sounds more like jazz than blues in my opinion, but I tend to hear anything with extended chords as "jazz"...
noice!
If you like this style of playing, check out Dr. Lonnie Smith trio.
Improv phrase is from Art Blakey’s Moanin, right?)
Was that first lick from Lee Morgan's solo on Moanin'?
is it a choice to remove the x/y joystick, like does it feel better or something?
Does anyone know how he change the instruments instantly without clicking on the screen
Gusto.
You should do one specifically for bird blues
Pretty
What is the bass plugin/sample ?
ting tinining tinining tinining
walking bass
short, punchy chords
repetition legitimizes
epic solo
call and response
Accurate
no lick at the end? Subscribed.
What are the basics of 12 bar blues?
b l u e s
also repetition legitimises
Ding, ding-a-ling
what program are you usng to do this? I was given an apk mini and don't know what to do with it lol
Are you using garageband?
Will u start a #2 in them?
man what the name or model this keyboard?
Seriously what software are you using?
What model of akai is it?)
What is this device called and where can I get one?
That sounds too jazzy to be a Blues
you're fucking good man///
Isso é jazz
