I'm in Canada I also have a 2008 P71, and 1 thing you forgot to mention is how they rot in the front Fender that's because there's an inch wide gap and all the rock salt sits up in that lip of the Fender and then gets activated from the heat of the engine make sure to keep that area oiled daily. Great video 🇨🇦

I have a 2011 with 164k miles and has the typical display problem where you have to slap the dash to get the miles to show. One day it was acting better and I was able to cycle through to see the idle hours. 12,500 idle hours. That's insane, but it runs great and despite a little transmission whine she's still going strong.

The missing rear door rods aren't 'removed', they've never been installed. They are part of a 'rear-door delete' kit, and the rods are usually supplied by Ford in a plastic bag in the trunk.....but quite often lost or removed from the trunk and never put back. Those kits in the trunk have everything, including the button, and the large pop-rivets for installation. If they're not there in the trunk when you inspect the vehicle, ASK for them. It's the same as the rear seats....they've got them stashed someplace.

did it not come with the blue silicone coolant hoses? Thanks for showing the connector for the rear window switch, cool. Mine came with the strobes, some of the decals were still on, the complete prisoner divider wall which I eventually removed, the police trunk pack organizer with the kevlar to protect the gas tank, two spares, the jack, the computer tray and trunk antenna, lights in grill and rear window and the cup holder assembly, mine only had 70,000 miles on odo but unfortunately suffered alot of rust, even inside, the seat brackets are totally rusted to death and the paint was hell. Still a great car at a great price. I got it for $800 from a guy that sold it after he got it at auction. Awesome cars.

    Hey Mike
This video was great. I didn't know about being able to change the odometer from kms to miles nice tip. I have a question for you. I also watch Mr. Random and he said that the transmissions go on these crown vic s often. Have you found this to be true in your dealings with crown Victoria's? I think it may have something to do with the way he tends to drive them on his video's he tends to drive the heck out of them. I thought I would check with you on this since you appear to be a bit more respectful of you cars. Thanks love your video's

  • @nobodycamnotguilty4497

I just changed the ignition coils and spark plugs but I keep losing coolant and I hope its not leaking in the coils I just had replaced. The coils all 8 cost me $250 . Now i’m told my manifold might be leaking into my coils. not happy. Also my dashboard doesnt light up, so i do not know how fast I am going or when I am running out of gas. was told 250 to replace that , just labor and since I do not have AC another 500 to fix that . $650 if I do both the dashboard and replace the AC Part thats also behind the dash board but on the Passanger side. I like the car , but things are starting to add up. Mine is a 2007 and still has all the strobes and flashing lights on them , except for the light bar on the roof. It has the side lights on the outside mirror and the spot light. I want to change that spot light to LED if possible. My son put new struts and brakes and rotors. Hope i can find that coolant leak later and its not leaking into my ignition coils. Otherwise I need to replace the plastic intake and now we talking $800 and possibly replacing the coils again if it leaked in there. Also i put a new alarm , but that alarm goes off every time while I am driving! it’s the car horn which is very annoying. I noticed it goes off more when someone is sitting in the passages seat or when I go in reverse. Not sure if thats an accurate assessment but I noticed that a few times. Could just be a coincidence and that it just goes off when I am driving in general. I love the batter in these cars , i wish I had a more smoother ride with the suspension. I seen one of the comments say to put the Grand Marquis suspension on for that luxury feel. I will consider that if i keep it long. Also, I would want higher and leather seats in the front like the back.

Redbatcave l can’t remember exactly, it was a year and a half ago but looking on eBay you can get a loaded strut (strut and spring) for about 190 each. I am told that the ride and quality is much better than aftermarket ! I put them on my Marauder ( they came with police struts ) it rides very smooth now and with the police sway bars it still handles great ! I have the best of both worlds ! I highly recommend this for the P 71s .
