Building my dream truck meant that I could keep things simple and accessible. Camp set ups don’t need to be complicated and you could do the same lay out on a smaller budget.
When camping don’t take things you don’t need, every thing in the FTRUCK I want to have x2 functions if possible.
I love how the truck has come together over the past 6 months with the major changes.

those Ozie camping trays are interesting. Don't think they are available in the US.
The truck suspension setup for off-roading, makes everything a little too high. I guess, if you were staying at one place for a few days, it would be worth digging some holes for the tires to lower everything down a few inches.

Have to get some of the Australian Manufactures to get over to the states and make so,me beds, trays for GMC, CHEVY, and of course the bad ass f250 and f350! Good set up but I think you could make it much better with lower costs. I recommend you to take a look to Red Sands camper setups.
been looking for a channel of american trucks built for oz for a while mate. love what you've done and the content. cant wait to see some camping trips when all this corona 19 is all over. building a y62 up which has also been held up halfway like your f-truck due to the virus. look foward to more mate cheers

How much the whole kitchen setup weigh. I am guessing 100+ Kg to store less than 25Kg of stuff.
I am considering removing the drop down kitchen for a different design to save weight
@@TyFenwick I had an African Outback drawer system weighing 75 Kg and a fridge slide weighing 15 kg. Total 90 kg. I took out both, built my own with Aluminium tubes (1.6mm), 3mm 50x50 equal angle for drawer, 2mm sheet for drawer base), heavy duty drawer slides total weight 40kg. Drawer slides where the heavy part, wish I knew some other option. My new drawers have twice the storage space of the previous drawer including a bigger fridge drawer. I did not carpet the drawer instead used rubberised paint (same as liners in pickup trucks). I recall the drop slide for 50L fridge was 40kg. Good luck, remember weight is the biggest problem, kills tires, shocks, drivetrain etc.

Yeah I was thinking about induction when I fitted the system but something just draws me back to a good old gas cooker. I can 100% run it in the future if I wish. 😁👍🏼
Ty Fenwick sweet when I do my upgrade to lithium i will definitely go that way to limit my reliance on something that you may not be able to obtain in the future, not forgetting open fire though.... also I have looked into making a small wind turbine out of a 150 amp alternator which could be handy for cloudy or night time charging if conditions were favourable....🏕

If i was to build this truck again 4" lift, but with this size truck unless its stock its hard to avoid a step of some kind.

For a setup like this in Australia it would be around $200 to $250 thousand depending on what year model truck you purchased

What temp does the bushman go down to minimum?
It has a dial and not a digital read out of the temp but it’s says 4 degrees is lowest temp. But the freezer goes lower.

Hi Tracey, I got that saucepan from Aldi when they do there camping sales.
The fans I clamp to the bars that run across the internals of the tent. I might do a video about my tent internal set up soon. ☺️👍🏼

Great, but.......how does the average man afford all this stuff ? He cannot. This stuff is for the highly payed or the financially secure retired. What is the cost of this vehicle as it sits ?
You can 100% do this build on a budget with a different truck, cheaper tray, home made or off the shelf canopy. And a basic AGM power system, the design or layout can be done on a much smaller budget.
Enjoy building up your truck over time, the build process is the best part !
I work extremely hard to own this truck and an average day at work for me would be 16+ hours sun up to sun down.
