My uncle was a sailor, during the Vietnam War, he brought weapons and supplies for the heroic people of Vietnam from the People's Republic of Poland. It was a secret, they officially transported agricultural machinery and civilian items, but the sailors knew that, in fact, there were rifles, grenades and other weapons in the boxes. When they docked in port, they were repeatedly fired upon by American planes. My uncle has told me about it many times, he has seen many Vietnamese people horribly maimed by american missiles. You can mention it in history lessons at your school.
I am very proud of him that he helped the Vietnamese people regain independence.

И если кому-то могла показаться антипатия с моей стороны к СССР, то нет. Это очень комплексная тема и чью-либо сторону я в целом не занимаю.

@@bman6065 I think its cuz at the time India was pretty socialist itself. And it benefitted india cuz the govt was really pedling to make the healthcare and education free or cheap as possible to the public to help the population from the damages done by the colonial powers. Even tho the USSR is not exactly communist, they helped us out with this venture and that system of public schooling and healthcare is still there even tho its kinda outdated.
