What the hell happened to Sam's bass drum in that Forest Hills clip? Did his bass pedal chain completely snap or something? I'm a drummer and I've never seen that happen before before
My drummer snapped his pedal chain during one of our practices - just, clean break, no more kick pedal. It’s probably pretty rare for expensive gear but definitely possible.

Needs to update the video, on The New in show from Curitiba-Brazil this year, in the middle of song, Sam comes on the measure before the right time and Paul is completely lost to sing. I remember too in some festival in 2011 the band lost the time in Lights.

En lo personal en ningún momento así de interpol me causa risa, solo la parte donde Paul está borracho o cuando se le olvida parte de la canción. En la parte de las Vegas donde se le montan a Paul banks por la espalda ahí debió asustarse. Por suerte que bueno que tenían seguridad.

Notice how Mr. Dengler is the only one that's never goofed. He was just pure perfection and carried himself so amazingly. They died as a band the second he left no matter what anyone else says or thinks.

The sprocket/nut probably worked itself loose if he runs a looser setup than most drummerz
