I was thinking the other day why someone hasn't invented a method to fill my lawnmower and other yard gas powered tools so that I don't spill gas. This is a fantastic and utilitarian method to fill tools and small containers. You are so practical, thanks.
Is it possible that you weren't listening to the sermon one Sunday but were thinking of this life hack and how to make it? lol

Wonderful idea Herrick! I'm going to build one. I think I might cut a slot in the front of the funnel holder so I can plop the funnel in the can first, then slide it into the holder, then slide the holder up to where it needs to be. Thanks for the idea!

Looks like just what I need when I'm trying to empty the oil drain pan into the jug that the recycling truck will take.

I share your enthusiasm! I have suffered through exactly everything you described. Terrific solution! I’ll be stealing every bit of it and tweaking it to fit my situation. Very simple but still- thanks. Love it.

Poor uncle Billy... Always trying to remember what all those strings on his fingers were for. 😊
That second funnel is a transmission funnel... In case anyone is wondering.

Always great ideas! My father in law was a lot like you. We are still finding items he made saying “what was this made for”? Hours or days later my husband will say “got it. Thanks dad!”

Good idea!!! One part is missing. A large metal cake pan that is part of your stand that holds whatever can you are filling and not only catches any overflow but also saves that nice red paint.

ha I've made the same thing, a 3rd hand... just a bit more universal has a steel base plate that can also be clamped to things, the working end is a pair of vice grips and the armature is heavy duty Loc-Line. Its also got linear height adjust by sliding the "base" end of the loc-line up and down a pipe. PS I believe the yellow funnel on the safety can also works for filling the can. IIRC

That's a great idea. I will build that after I get a few of my current projects done. Who said you could relax when you retired? LOL

I would like to suggest to you and your viewers to NEVER pour a flammable liquid inside or near a structure or vehicle. My reasoning is it could spill, or catch fire for a number of reasons, and then you have what can be a serious situation. Step away 10 feet or more and make the pour outside; then if something happens you are not in a life or death struggle to save your garage or truck. A spill of gasoline in a driveway, away from anything valuable is an inconvenience, even if it catches fire. A spill in your shed, as visible @7:00 would be a major problem or even an inferno. Just pour fuel in a place you can step away from without effort or worry. Also, don't store gasoline in glass jugs.
