  • Walking tour around France, Perpigen. You see from when I step off the plane, getting a vibe of the city and people. I had a haircut at a locals barbershop, Ate some Tunisian food on some back road and took a stroll around the city.
    (Barber thinks I'm police🤣)

Nah, he's shocked because you walked in and started talking Spanish and English at him 😂 it's France, those guys all speak French. A lot of people do speak Spanish as a second language though, especially in cafes and restaurants (there are a lot of Spanish tourists). I live here but my French is pretty bad still, so sometimes people reply to me in Spanish because they assume I'm a Spanish tourist too. I think officially it's about 80% French, 20% Catalan for first language

Loved watching this, you basically walked the whole of central Perpignan (including past my place 😁). And you're right it can be really quiet sometimes, depends on the time of year and the day of the week 🤦. Can be like a little Barcelona when things are actually open. Plus the mountain views just outside the center are unbelievable. I wish more English people would come and visit (they mostly get French and Spanish)

If you’re wondering why everyone looks confused when you’re talking to them it’s because you don’t even make an effort to speak French.
It’s not hard to learn a few words.

Si vous êtes un touriste, utilisez un logiciel de traduction sur votre téléphone. Ça marche très bien et ça vous évitera de passer pour un gros con de colon anglophone .
