Hi Thomas, thank you for reaching out. Our apologizes for any confusion; the CoolBot is meant to be hooked up inside of your cooler with the Jumper outside the cooler in a weatherproof box. You can see the box install for the Jumper around the five minute mark of the video.

Can I use the coolbot without connecting the wi fi part

Hi Jesse, yes you can use the CoolBot Pro without hooking it up to WiFi. It will cool your cooler, you just won't be able to check it remotely or receive critical alerts. Reach out to our team at [e-mail] with any other questions.
