Got this from Blender Guru but if you change the Noise Threshold from 0.10 to say 0.05 you will see an increase in speed with little or no change in the render. Some great tips here thanks!
Thanks, glad it was helpful. I haven't seen the Blender Guru tutorial, but I suspect he may have meant to say that changing the noise threshold from 0.1 to 0.15 would increase the speed and retain the quality. The higher the value, the sooner cycles considers the pixel good enough to omit it from further samples.
If you're interested in learning more about improving rendering time, then stay tuned, I have something a bit special lined up over the next few days 👍
Great tips! I'd heard of a few of these but some (mainly isolation mode with forward slash) were game changers! Now I can preview my materials in Cycles without having to wait 30 seconds for it to render enough to get a proper look!
Some truly excellent speed-increase tips, here. Especially for my pants laptop.
Glad it was helpful!
excellent work i use a few of these already, so i appreciate the dissemination of information :O)
wow, great video! :)
Excellent tips!
Glad it was helpful!
very cool tips. thank you
no problem 👍
Nice one my firiend. I'm advanced user but I still can find some good tips, that is great!
Awesome, that's great to hear thanks 👍
Very helpful. Thank you.
You're welcome 👍
What differences does have with the other instancing methods? What makes it worse or not a "full instance"?
alt d is a new object that uses the same geometry, wheras a full instance is just a single point that renders like an object. It has no overhead of all that object data.
@@3d-illusions I see. Thanks for the reply!
Wow the cycles viewport is now a LOT more responsive than the eevee viewport, which means that the eevee viewport needs lot of improvements.
There are massive EEVEE improvements just around the corner.
FYI: Passepartout is pronounced pahs-par-too.

What version of Blender are you using? I'm at 3.0 and don't see any of these settings in the World properties.
I'm on 3.1, but the settings should be the same as far as I'm aware. What aren't you seeing?
I'm also using 3.0 and just confirming that all of the settings are as shown in the video.
@@3d-illusions Hi idk if this is the same issue but for me, the options to change the pixel size isnt showing up when I go to the performance section. It only gives me a checkbox-High Quality Normals. Currently using blender 3.2
@@mrSleepyguy1 which render engine do you have enabled?
@@3d-illusions Oh... I'm dumb haha I had eevee enabled and I just tried changing it to cycles and now all the options are available. Thank you!!
