Rule number 1: make sure you aren't constantly staring at your phone so you actually know if you're child is in danger.
💯
Pure common sense yes thank you
That's rule number 0 because that comes before number 1.
Rule #2, focus on how you type it’s “your” not “you’re”. This just shows the lack of focus you’re giving towards the topic, just like how you were saying.
VendHelper GT Rule #3: don't be so damn petty as to correct someone's English. But instead focus more on what they're point is, and not how they're technically expressing their point.
As a life long martial artist (47 years worth) including many years teaching, I can attest that this is fabulous advice. And when they announced a large scale plan to give free self defense seminars, it brought tears to my eyes. Way to go!
@Peter Cohen you cried ? Oof
@@eyesnapples6167 What do you gain from announcing your heartlessness to the world? Is it a source of pride for you?
People giving away free self defense seminars costs them not just their time, but also money in that they have to provide for premises for the event that cost them money, if not directly then through opportunity cost. This generosity of spirit, especially with something so many need, is heartwarming.
oh no taichi man absolute killer would destroy any puny mma fighter watch out guys
I don't have a wife or kids but I'll use this same technique when my gf wants a piece of my food. Distance management

So wrong for that 😂

It's heartbreaking to hear we need to protect children this way. I'm glad you guys are addressing this. ♥️
It's not heartbreaking to know you have to protect your children... if you think that's heartbreaking then you're already "losing the battle" so to speak. It's heartbreaking to LOSE your child, for sure. But, to know you have to protect them??? No, that's not heartbreaking. That's just the laws of life itself. I'm saying this to you because, as stated in this video, learn to protect yourself first before you can protect others. This includes your wimpy perspective on what should and shouldn't be happening to people. Toughen up. You don't have time for heartbreak, heartbreak will make you freeze up and not make the right choices BEFORE something terrible happens and a REAL reason for heartbreak happens to you or your child.
@@oggaming7362 Your overly aggressive in your response.
What im glad for is jits for women not just mother's. Really everyone should know bjj its a skill to save youre life
@OG Gaming i get what youre saying to him but. You cant judge people that way. Bjj is about honor and respect. If someone touched my kids there life would be changed cause im a 😈 in bjj 😆 😂
The Gracie family continues to astound me by the good work and information they put out into the world.
This is a great awareness video that should be shown to all parents. Thanks Gracie fam
Brilliant advice.. I'm a father of 3 and this never crossed my mind
This saddens me...society has come to this constant abductions. Thank you for all your hard work and educating
Society hasnt come to this its always been like this. Just didnt have the internet to always hear about it.
What kind of world do we live in where a stranger randomly stealing your actual child is an everyday real-world possibility? Beyond disturbing.
Well done guys. Just sent to my daughter who has 3 kids. You are a great team and have a special way of heightening our senses. Thank you!
This has happened in my own neighborhood a few months back. A guy grabbed a little girl at the park. Gratefully she fought the guy off and ran as fast as she could. She was terrified but she’s safe. I hate that we have to worry about this but I’m glad are ways to protect ourselves and our children.
Don't gotta worry and live out of fear. Just treat it with the same practicality as teaching to not run with scissors. Sure we teach safety but we aren't living in constant panic about knives and scissors in the home. Maybe you didn't mean that, but there are mother's out there who wanna live in denial that these things happen :(
People like to hate on the Gracie’s but they are VERY good self defense instructors. I’ve trained with Ryron and Rener and they are very talented instructors. They are legit on the mat too, they are extremely skilled
This side of the new gracies isn't the reason people hate them.
Rener and Eve's Energy is SO Contagious! Even on video! Cant imagine the energy transfer in person!
A kidnapper must've left that dislike! Lol
More than one
probably worried that teddy got brain damage :)
Most likely BJJ people upset that they didn't play guard and do the berimbolo technique or whatever.
Those dislikes are all from past, and present fighters who lost to the Gracie's, and it's a lot of them. Matter of fact those guys have disliked every video the Gracie's have ever made.
Troy Graves 😂😂😂
Although I am not a mom, seeing your women’s empowered program has inspired me! I am seriously considering going through the program over the summer. Being a college student, i am often in situations where I can feel uncomfortable and unsafe around the university. I definitely feel like this can give me more confidence and security in myself. I am also becoming an EMT very soon, which can be a dangerous job at times. The closest facility I am to is in Apple Valley, which I am so grateful for!
I love you guys! I love watching how you are evolving yourselves and adapting the Gracie system to your lives. My family thanks you.
Fantastic ideas. Spreads more awareness. Thank you Gracie.
This is actually badass. Let's go, real self defense. Is cold AF, decisive and thought

Our kids, my husband and myself all do Jiu Jitsu. It can be a scary world out there, so grateful for Jiu Jitsu ♥️ Great tips, Thank-You for sharing ♥️♥️♥️
Love these videos. You guys are doing good work even tho most people are blind to these truths and talk down on them! Keep it up!
excellent instructions on how to train yourself to save your family... Good job!
Thank for this...I shared this video with my wife & 2 other mom's I know....
if you put your child down to address a threat Ono on one, that plan falls apart if there is more than one attacker....
So very true with the way this world is going all parents should learn some form of self-defense that is the truth too many innocent children are being hurt out there and without the Gracie breakdown I personally believe that many parents would not know what to do thanks to the Gracie they have saved a whole bunch of lives
I love this! I can't wait to get started my self defense training.
Gracies, obrigado pelo vosso serviço público incansável, em nome da segurança e do bem-estar das nossas famílias!
You guys rock, keep it coming.
This is so helpful! Thank you for sharing.
Great video. Really awesome basic explanations
Great thankfulness and respect to the Gracies for informing and empowering decent people from being easy prey for criminal perpetrators.
My son and I had a code word for ANYONE picking him up from anywhere....if they didnt have the code word he wasnt to go...at all! Even gramma or auntie. No code... you dont go. I also sat my son down and told him, desciptively, what could happen to him if he DID trust and go with someone....and that 9 times out of 10 that horrible person would be someone you know...baseball coach, soccer coach, school teacher. And it happened one day that he WAS put in that situation. He was bik riding to the corner store with his buddy when a minivan stopped and asked the boys to help him find his dog. His friend was going to go. I wasnt sure at the time if I did the right thing scaring my son with the truth but now? I'm so glad I did. SO GLAD!
My daughter walking home from school everyday, I always told her, be aware of your surrounding is no.1 self-defense, don't be on your phone or on your headphone.
If she suspects something is not right, run and find other adults and scream like a crazy person. and if she ever grabbed by the perp, aim for their groin or eyes ... hit as hard as she can ... and run like hell.... and scream like a crazy person.
my mom demonized strangers even to the detriment of my social life later in life and that led me to multiple fights with her, talking about behaviors is the rational thing to do
Your children shouldn't worry, their father is a Gracie and their mother is a former WWE wrestler 😂😂😂
Three-time WWE Divas Champion.
Unless they have a gun.

My mother-in-law knows Jewish-Jitsu, she’ll nag and complain any attacker into submission...
Very clever good points, thanks for sharing!
Absolutely excellent video! Great work! I hope people listen and respond.
Uneducated parents these days. I remember how my parents always told me to be by their side and I would not wonder off like the other kids
You're absolutely right. People should be aware.....and learn to defend themselves. Great video.
IF YOU CAN'T PROTECT YOURSELF, YOU CAN'T PROTECT YOUR CHILD!

Mothers are the worst thing to fight over their children. You have not seen fury until you picked up somebody's child
What if the child runs away to get help and another weirdo snatched him up?
That's the 1st thing I thought about.
That's why you need to teach your child how to defend themselves
what if a meteor hits you so you jump, only to get hit by another meteor?
There's a limit to shit you can deal with.
An astronomically unlikely result like that shouldn't stop you from working on 'best practice in a scenario'.
As opposed to....? Doing nothing? Teach them to identify other parents or authority figures/employees if you are at a public place while calling 911
Very informative! Never really thought of any of the scenarios before but they do make a lot of sense. Natural instincts of what people will do an not do. I'll share and thanks
Every parent should see this ❤️ thank you 🙏
Excellent video, thanks!
Good job guys!!
“Unnecessary but cool”, lol
a foot from her in face... total necessary :-D
Will Pulera the “unnecessary but cool” was a quote from the video. She went to kick Rener in the face as part of the demonstration and Rener said “unnecessary but cool” as a comeback. It was quite amusing.
What a great team these two are.
This just made me cry so much
Left and right audio channel was switched on this vid.
last rule: carry a taser or pepper spray
or a gun
9mm works better
The-last-rule-after-that-last-rule: know how to use it.
You can get pepper spray in your eyes, tazers can be snatched away and used against you if it didn't connect on the first attempt and so on
@@troydodson4837 A .45 works even better😜
Love love love this awareness!!
I honestly believe you're doing a great service to the world
So true
Very good information!
Who would DARE dislike this?!
I think this is great. Preperation is the best thing. Some people may argue though, that the likelyhood of child abductions are very low.
Such good stuff. You guys are the best. Wow. Eve is one seriously tough woman! I pity the guy who tries to take her kid. Hooo-weee!
I'm not even a mom im a 21 year old single dude but I watch all these videos just cause Rener is sucha naturally good teacher 😂 I just like listening to him break shit down lmao
I'm 13
You will never be a mom you'll be a dad
Great video guys,thanks
As a father of 2 I often worry about my partner and kids when im not around,I think all parents who are this should get involved in self defense martial Arts and encourage their children to do so also, gives you great values and and also gives you the upper hand in dangerous situations
Your kids are adorable!!! Love you guys and what you do!
Great video
What an unfortunate day will have the person who ever tries to abduct Rener,s child. 🤦♂️
They will literally be snapped in half like a twig -- rightfully so.
I'm so happy Bubba is safe! Great video. I wasn't aware this was happening in broad day light in front of parents. So what happens if there is a team of two kidnappers working together? One to keep the Mom distracted and one to carry out the abduction?
Great info!!!! Thanks!
Great job. This is always why I Carry and making sure my kids are aware that there are wolfs out there.
EXECELLENT INFORMATION THANKS SO MUCH !!!!!!
Great video! I would argue that a kick to the face is necessary to slow down their ability to get up and chase - I am not a fast runner and I need every advantage I can get!
Because bjj is such a popular sport it become extremely expensive especially for combat/self defense variation. Great on you for free seminars.
Awareness is key, head on a swivel! Use your sight and hearing to keep you safe.
Definitely will use that technique on my husband. Thank you for sharing
Good stuff. My only concern of teaching my child to go get help from a stranger or putting my child down to face the threat one on one is kidnappers often kid nap in pairs. They create a distraction and then take the child away you are distracted. If someone trys to take my child and I put them down, the second kidnapper comes and takes the child while I deal with the 1st kidnapper. And once the 2nd kid napper has my child the 1st one runs away from the enconter.
Good message 👍
I love yall!!! Blessings!
I love these for not just women but every one these are important
Nitpicking - the audio balance/pan is wrong on this video. Eve's voice is coming out the left speaker & Rener's is coming out the right, opposite to where you're both standing.
Cool video 👌
Thank you fam!
every parents worst nightmare! :(
Thank you gracie university i want to join your classes .😇
Que legal Mano. Seu avô fazia vídeos assim nas antigas pra divulgar a importância da defesa pessoal aplicada pelo Jiu-jitsu.
This is why I always conceal carry.
So you can shoot at the person running away with your child? Genius
@@joakimjohannessen5476 Nah, just give your child the gun and let him defend himself. I ain't spoiling my kids with free protection.

I tend to look deeper into WHY are these abductions taking place? We have a over population of abandoned children which can be adopted legally so there must be a reason why someone would risk going to prison for kidnapping a little child.
It is not invalid. But it's hard to get past the meta of all of this:
Fear based selling is disguised as a Public Service Announcement.
I guess it still works. It's an 80's infomercial tactic.
Fear based? Not at all! Do you wish to deny reality that kids do get abducted?
Fear based?? LMAO. As a Corrections Ofc of 10 years I can tell you prison is full of rapists, and child molesters
kids might have better intuition than adults, because they have not yet been taught to ignore it.
Great video.. i shared on Facebook..
Hey!! Did anyone else NOT get a notif. for this?
Rule #1 should be to have your children attached to you like glue and to run to safety if a forced kidnapping is being attempted.
#2 is never be stupid and have your children out in unsafe areas in the first place.
#3 is to make sure you know how to protect your children or family and self.
#4 should be to train your children to protect themselves and run to safety.
#5 should be is to be offensive on steroids to the max when something this evil happens.
What do you do if your child runs to their team mate for help? I guess usually there's only 1 driving and one snatching. Sad world. Human trafficking.
Are there any Gracie schools in Houston tx?
Putting a child down risks if there are several opponents : ( So dependant on circumstances.
Was thinking the same. But this is one scenario. They should do multiple other ones
In this example we can see, that when woman manages takedown on abdutor, there is pretty high chance of child hitting ground with his head.
Omg that little girl has a joy division shirt
This is a very nice video. Are you offering these lessons to parents for free?
If not... this was a very long infomercial with some serious scare tactics to try and make some money.
i didn’t even know people did this much if at all in places like LA! wow
you should do ones with teams a lot of them work in pairs
What is being described here is much closer to a domestic violence scenario than to a child abduction one. Not that it changes the general message of learning self defense. Situational awareness however is the best technique to use against abduction or say pickpockets. And consider both often work in teams.
I suggest you talk with the LAPD on best practices regarding such incidents.
Rener didn't like it but I loved "Unnecessary, but cool!"
Maybe I should send this video to my cousin! 😀
Bubba is such a good actor
Great job ;-)
I wish you guys would make a video of the instance where there is a parent with a fully disabled child. My kid can’t run or yell for help.
Excelente.
