This car survived both world wars and is still in better condition than some 1990s cars I’ve seen
Survived!? You weren't bombed
@@timschulz9563 still survived
I mean by survived you just mean it was around at the same time then yeah. Probably locked up in a barn somewhere lol
@@industrialvectors boo
@@zeitgeist2720 still better condition than others
so that dude made those cars out of scratch? what a legend he is! the design is so cool, the interior too such a piece of history should be seen by all how original it is. awesome detail as always
In today's episode 5 year old Larry plays with trains. But in all seriousness, out of all the cars I've seen you detail over the years, these two are some of the most amazing before and after results to date. They weren't in horrible shape to begin with but all that brass, stainless and paint polished to perfection showcases the engineering and attention to detail that was put into these cars. Bravo, I love seeing history being brought back to life.
So much brass!!!! :)
The craftsmanship in these is just mind blowing, what an incredibly talented man to have built both these beautiful cars.
Larry, I loved seeing your humor shine through! It threw a little more flavor in the video and really made me smile. Between the late night mania, and the "you're gonna be happy", I REALLY REALLY enjoyed it alongside everything else you throw in to your amazing videos. I hope you continue to keep this flavor in videos!
Awesome! Thank you!
Best detailing channel on YT!
Great collaboration. Love that your helping fellow detail companies grow their business. 💪.
One of the best episodes.
Such a great restoration on this beautiful piece of automotive history. Your videos never disappoint Larry.
you are the Jedi Master. Easily a top 5 episode of all time.
That's some serious "detail" detailing. The results are worth the time!
The edit and music are absolutely spot on
Nearly CRIED watching this Video. I have a Soft Spot in me for this "Automotive History" that Most Folks Now Day's don't even know Exists. It's a Damned Shame that this Automotive "HISTORY" isn't taught in Schools across the USA. Fantastic Video Larry. Like All History, Not Many know what it was like back in the Day when People Built stuff by HAND, and the WORK that went into Getting us up and running as a Country. Now Day's it a through away Society and What about ME. THANKS for this GREAT Memory of the PAST. YOU ROCK "L"!!!
My dad has a CNC machine shop. It’s amazing to see the gentleman talk about milling and turning machines and how it helped him build the car.
@AMMONYC dude when you were on the little train thing that honestly made my day
This is my new favorite before and after restore that you've done now. Such beautiful machines!
Just love those old fashioned cars!!!
Pure rolling art. Impressive in every way to include the detail!
Watching you have to bust out the Bar Keepers just makes me happy. It's truly the unsung hero of auto detailing, nothing even comes close on tailpipes and other spots that pick up carbon deposits
The Stanley Steamers were stunning when you and your friends finished detailing them. Thank you,
The thing I love most about these older designs is all of the copper and brass. It looks so amazing properly buffed and polished. A million times better than chrome.
ok. As a lover of antique cars i have to admit i've been waiting for years for this one
you're the man Larry! always inspired me to use quality products, techniques and be a passionate detailer. never stop improving and producing great results. cheers
One of my favorite videos! So amazing to hear about this story! So much time and effort and it really shows by the end look! I especially love the ending music and jokes! Keep doing the amazing work you do Larry! And good job to the others who helped you make these steamers come back to life!
Larry this is one of your best edits yet! Great production. It felt like I was watching a big budget TV show.
Glad you enjoyed it!
My favourite detail, by far! The beauty in the craftmanship of these cars, and to see the restoration of the brass and copper work was soooo orgasmic. Merry Christmas indeed, and to all!
Bar Keepers friend is magic. Also amazing on Stainless Steel cookware.
The polished bronze really made that 1910 pop gave it a whole new level of perfection
AMAZING results !! Awesome to see.
To stop this becoming forgotten knowledge, how to make these cars should be passed down (& written down) for future generations to come in how true craftsmanship is made by hand.
Exceptional work by Larry and all the teams that helped. 100% amazing results gentlemen, well done! 😃🇦🇺✌🏻
Yes, was awesome seeing Mort’s workshop and working on the creations. Thx for watching!
Having spent a lot of time around maintaining cars of this era, I've found the 1 inch pad with a slightly tougher compound first then step down to a fine liquid polish with just your finger and a soft cloth. It takes time but the results are there. There's a few little tricks you pick up along the way with the vintage cars
What a gorgeous machine. Think of the love and craft that went into building it. Just amazing Larry. Happy Holidays and blessings to your family buddy. You've come a hell of a long way since NYMC
What a joy to bring those cars back to life. A great inspiration to all of us that detail.
This was phenomenal! Love that tip on Barkeepers Friend.
Larry, you're the Best! Love your labours in finding rare and beautiful pieces!!!
I learned about that barkeepers friend from cleaning a grill grate. It made it look incredibly better. Now it was specific for cast iron and didn't leave and aftermath so to speak on the grates. I used the powder form as I seen you also had laying on the table you used for cleaning up the brass. As usual great video and love the content. Love watching the transformations of every vehicle you have done. Just makes me wish I had a bay to do my vehicle in lol. Summer comes around my vehicle will be getting yet another polish and wax for the next season. Thanks again and keep up the great work.
Great work as always. Fantastic automobiles.
Fascinating, the attention to detail in 1910 is remarkable. A well deserved detail for such beautiful cars.
Absolutely awesome! Amazing work,
Wow, you did an amazing job, all of you 😱 I'm speechless!!!!
Fantastic end product, loved the finish, never thought the brass and leather would come up so well, you had the look on your face off what have I committed myself to.
The mud on the tires was extremely satisfying! Great work Larry, thanks for the morning entertainment 😁
That's amazing, everything! The old cars the stories behind them and the fact that you are able to have colleagues in the business that come together and help when needed. The market is too saturated with egos
Truly amazing! I hope to get to detail specimens like these some day. But I did just gain a client with a very impressive car collection and I get to detail and show prep them all! (About 30 or 40 cars and motorcycles in total.)
This was awesomely amazing to watch!
Amazing Larry. Its not everyday that you see a Stanley Steamer let alone a reproduction of two built by one man from scratch! Yeah, I would never be able to even make a toy car from scratch let alone a working replica so beautiful like these two. Thanks man. Cheers

Great video and fantastic job. Those machines look absolutely gorgeous!
As much are these machines so rare and special, equally amazing is the detailing prowess Larry possesses 👌 ... Be it a most modern Koenigsegg or the decade old steamer, detailing expertise at AmmoNYC is outlandish ❤️
Nice to see you calling in reinforcements when you need it! Another great video!
Really Cool! Soundtrack was on point,
Always love what you do.
Absolutely stunning machines. Beautiful job of restoring the finishes.
Thank you very much!
You did great job Larry
Those Stanley's aren't cars so much as they're pieces of art. Totally impractical and insane in their construction they are beautiful beyond reproach.
Absolutely amazing 🥰
WOW! Got flashbacks to using Brasso from my Army days! LOL Wonderful Cars!!!
I’ve loved all of videos but this is my favorite.
Amazing cars. They look great!
wwoooooww amazing job!!
Gracias por compartirlo!! 😀😀
Love this episode! Amazing that he built those himself
Great video
This video just steams me lol, gorgeous cars, nicely done sir 👍😁
Such awesome storytelling..
best youtube channel ever !!!!
I detailed cars when I was 16-17; nothing compared to this. You are truly a master of your art. Amazing.
Thx Paul!
Now a lot cleaner than my 1914 Stanley! They are great fun to drive and a lot quicker than you’d think.
Another great video.
What an amazing episode, I loved the awesome teamwork!
A have a passion for antiques👌🏾🔥
ammo i like your vidoes because you clean old car
Love watching your content
Fantastic!
That 1910 is absolutely gorgeous
Can’t wait to watch
One more documentary style video absolutely love it
That’s a stunning car
Ever try "Never Dull" it worked wonders on our brass on a Navy ship.
I was like.... they don't look that bad other than the dusty seats. But OH EM GEE....the after looked so amazing.
Awesome job Larry and team!! 😎
We have liked to have seen the reaction of both the current owner/builder and the new owner
Very good job
"Dry Wiping", the bane of my existence lolzz.. Also, would be great to make floor boards with some sort of Acrylic to see all that work underneath
Wow ! I wish I could've been there to watch in person.
I love these cars!!!!❤
Wonderful steam engineering
That thing is awesome
That car is so cool
Fantastic opening music. Very period and Chi-ti-chi-ti-bang-bang…..
lovet he old man sounding like master yoda
Those cars are beautiful
I personally use brasso on dental chairs (I refurbish them) the chrome sometimes has rust coming through and it works wonders which brings what's left right back to life if it's too far gone we'll paint over it
Those are too cool. I'd love to hear more from the man who built these.
I hope you got paid very VERY well for all of that work! Great work as usual!
Hey, Larry.
1/3 salt, 1/3 vinegar and 1/3 flour to remove patina from bronze, brass and copper.
Next time you can try it. Think it’s even cheaper than those products.
Great content, as always.
Cheers.
Awesome
Best thing for polishing brass is Texas Pete hot sauce. Picked that up in the navy.
Beautiful!🦊
2:18 Larry we have the very same lave tooling and milling machine at Robert Mondavi Woodbridge winery! I also passed this video on too Jay Leno, not sure if he will a really even see this video but...
You should try ZYPHER for polishing. It's good for aluminum, brass and copper.
Lol when you mentioned oxylic acid, I immediately thought rhubarb; then you went into the rhubarb spiel!
12:04 Who doesn't love a good whistle polish from time to time! LOL
Very niiice!
