Seeing the realization that a song from 1982 was sampled is crazy. Man, the music from the late 60's to the early 90's is some of the most creative, ORIGINAL and enjoyable ever. People played their instruments and didn't worry about if they had a pretty face, branding or dancers.
The band playing behind brother Michael were crazy good session men. Jeff Porcaro on Drums (Toto), Louis Johnson on Bass (Brothers Johnson), Steve Lukather on Guitar (Toto), Greg Phillinganes on keyboards (Michael Jackson, Toto, etc...), Michael's sister Maureen McDonald provided background vocals.
May the music never be forgotten.

MTV came out August of 1981 but they still didn’t have actual what I would call videos) anyway, in this “video” Stevie Nicks is the woman fading in and out. I have the original album in my home office. It is one of the earlier pop-smooth jazz tunes that is timeless and fantastic. The one that preceded this is “What you won’t do for love” by Bobby Caldwell which is one of the finest songs ever made from 1978

Classic, my parents listened to funk and disco during this time and The Doobie brothers were always on the radio when I was a kid. So many good songs from that era, they just reach in and steal your soul for a while lol

So many artists today sample the music from my Era, the 80s. We all had big hair and great music and alot of fun. If ever a time machine is invented, go visit the 80s. You'll have a good time. Peace brother!

Lots of rappers sample classic songs. The very first hip hop song was “Rappers Delight” by the Sugar Hill Gang way back in 1979. They sampled “Good Times” by Chic.
