Some things just shouldn’t get pointed-out.
He mentioned that you can enjoy the GT3 in 1st and 2nd gear and you have to be careful. I read on Rennlist forums about someone stepping on it and when he looked down at the speedometer he was shocked that his GT3 was going 130mph! The GT3 is amazing but I could not enjoy it because I will be afraid to get a ticket. Even accelerating fast can get you a ticket.

The Cayman GT4/ GT4 RS Interior is the best interior in any car you can buy right now. I’d get the GT4 RS over the GT3 just because of it

i think it looks really plasticy i much prefer the interior of older 90s ish luxury cars with more leather and woods but the ratio of buttons and screens is definitely how it should be in this car

I have always fancied the GT3 over its more hardcore sibling the RS. The one I would go for is the 991.1 GT3 in lava red with the 3.8L
it truly is a heavenly piece of machinery. Been obsessed with this car for months 😩
It’s thrilling for a few weeks then it’s just uncomfortable, loud, and unpractical. But 20 years ago I had the same thoughts and their was know one telling me different.😂. Honestly I’ve had them all and the most fun was a 2018 Golf R in manual. But I’m the old geezer that doesn’t know anything. At least that would be my thought back then.
@@houlester it’s just a fair opinion. My dad is 50 still drives his mk2 gti with lowering springs/stiffer dampers and medium loud exhaust to work. Even though he owns 2 new Audie’s. Those are used for weekends and family trips. A gt3 would be a dream to daily for me. It’s far more comfortable than my daily. Only thing that might be a hinderance is the beautiful note it produces when you decide to drive hard and your on public streets.
@@matviyk3066 It's a nice car. I had a 2017 GT3 with the sport bucket seats and PDK then ordered a 2020 Cayman GT4 with manual. They are all nice and were a great experience. I would say the most fun for me was the Cayan GT4 Manual. If I drove one everyday it would be the Turbo S. I drive a Tesla Plaid now and I'm absolutely floored by how fast and comfortable it is. I do have the itch for a manual car for something fun. So I'm in the search. ( - :

Wow. This car is nuts. It took those turns at great speed with ease (great use of B roll😂) I know this would be great fun on the track. Seems like you have to hold back a lot on the streets. Great video! The GTS intrigued me.

I can tell I’ve officially become an old curmudgeon. Watching the shifting, hearing the ‘need’ to rev and seeing just how locked-down this car is…exhausted me. And I’ve owned six manual cars many years back that had not 1/4 the power.
Truth be told, within the first few rips I instantly concluded, “Yep, 911 Turbo S, forever.”
If I could have my 40’s brain and my 20’s body, this thing would be nirvana for me. But since time always wins, I’d go for the Turbo and happily die whenever it’s decided I do.

70 mph on entrance ramps, thats insanity. Even over 80 mph on one of thee less sharper turns, which is ridiculous.
shhhhhhhh the speedometer was blurred so actually you cant even say what he was going, i think he was going 30mph driving conservatively!
Not to brag but I do this in a e36. Gotta say I am at about 5% grip left though lmao.
Having buckets will make you even more confident, it sure made me feel grip strength better.

That’s the best introduction video of the new GT3 2022 I have seen. The only thing what I missed was the Sport Exhaust button. The manual choice is the correct one, I have sold my former Porsche 991 with PDK to get a manual back. You are more connected with the car by manual gears & more fun to drive. Well done

Your channel is absolute heaven for regular gearheads like myself, who will probably never get to touch a car like this. Absolute dream of a car, the GT3. I've been drooling over them since the Top Gear episode that puts the 996 GT3 RS vs the F360 Challenge Stradale.
porche knocked it out the park with this one! the design, interior, infotainment system, interior sounds, you name it they nailed it 🔥
PDK/DCT might shift fast but you cannot compare the driving enjoyment per dollar of a good manual gearbox.
You said it. And yes, a good manual box. Short, firm throws, with almost no slop. Otherwise I'd prefer an auto or pdk type box.
That's fair. Personally I'd go for PDK for speed and convenience.
It really depends on the manual transmission if it's well tweaked or not , otherwise, I would rather get an automatic transmission.

Great video! Looks and sounds like a TON of fun. GT3s are absolute perfection in the automotive paradigm and I am positive we'll reflect on them as such when electric cars (sigh) are more the norm.
Great video. The engine sounds is infinitely better with the windows open. Might be one of those cars you crank the heat up in the winter so you can leave the windows cracked!
I was watching this while on the road and the sound quality was so good I was looking around for a solid 2 minutes trying to find what car was making that noise just to find out it was the video all along
My favorite motor sound is a flat plane crank V8, but this H6 is something equally beautiful. Glorious!

The way the manual integrates with the interior makes it look like an afterthought
I really don't understand your reasoning here. Porsche deliberately made the PDK shifter in the GT3 models almost identical in style to a manual stick (Topher even mentioned this in the review). And yet you are saying the PDK shifter is perfectly integrated and suited to the interior design but the look-alike manual stick clashes somehow and looks out of place? This makes no sense.

I love this car, this is my dream car. Sadly with electric becoming so big, i fear that I may never be able to drive one in my life.
Would be a shame if you, and other people, can't buy a car with an internal combustion engine (IC engine) in the future. An electric vehicle is an example of governments and companies replacing things that people love with crappier versions of those things just because they think that's the solution to a earth-wide crisis. To be honest, companies, governments and ESPECIALLY the United Nations, instead of banning people from buying/discontinuing new cars with an IC engine, should accept and embrace new technologies (Such as synthetic gasoline/diesel made from captured C02 and sustainable energy) and continue/continue to allow selling cars with IC engines as well as electric vehicles.

12:20 , 15:56 . My fav thing is always getting it cookin in 1st gear, and that 1 - 2 gear shift. Just such a highlight to my day. 😂 The soundsss. From dead silence, to just absolute heavenly noises. 😎 I loveee how this car looks. Porsche always does great things. And they didn't fail here. I love the rear of this car the most. That wing is such an interesting design, and it grew on me. Hated it at first, but love it, and those tail lights! 😎
My favorite looking Porsche is still the 991 GT3 RS. But when it comes to looks, 991 GT3 vs 992 GT3 ... I'm having a tough time choosing. They are both so good. Might go 992 because the design is more aggressive and they really went for it, to try something different. I hope to see more comparisons on CZcams between this car, and the 991 GT3 manual.
i had an '02 corvette that would salivate in the 45-50 mph range in 1st, waiting for second. i'd love to experience this, knowing the high would be much greater. just amazing to think how much faster this is, because that vette was a case of... time to let off the accelerator as i went into 3rd.

I went with the 992-Turbo S -nicer ride ,instant turbo power ,AWD with 4 wheel steering puts power down so well exiting turns on track / canyons ,the 640 hp shortens straights on track
Negatives- does not wind to 9,000 RPM ,heavy , 20-21 inch wheels means no DOT or slicks available for track days

S2000 shifter > GT3 shifter. I have an AP1 and 991.2 touring and the s2000 is still quite a bit better
