Hi John, That's a fair observation. What happened in this situation was Power Gear jacks operate in pairs and the owner was struggling to manually operate his jacks as he had never done that before. Since he was planning to auto level after we installed them we didn't worry about him fully retracting his rear jacks. If you FF to 11:00 and/or 13:15 you can see the front jacks fully retract with the SnapPad installed. Those springs can easily handle an extra 8 lbs. Once he was finished camping he fully retracted all jacks and went on his way with no problems :) Hope that helps.
