Love how the final clip of this highlight video includes the mention that "they'll be talking about that not-blocked shot for years to come," but CONVENIENTLY leaves that clip out.
Yeah NCAA just redacted history? We get it, the refs messed up, but don't just remove the clip.
It didn't decide it and it might have been goaltending
at live speed, it might have, on replay it wasnt@@christopherfoote4643
What block?
Because it’s the official NCAA account. You think they’re gonna display their own corrupt refs? Lol
The ncaa protecting their precious refs by not showing highlight of a clear block that was called a foul. What a bunch of cowards . One of the worst calls in tournament history.
Cowardly to not include the most talked about play of this game in the highlights.
You cant show the blocked shot?? That is insane.
How’re you not going to show the biggest play of the game in the highlights
What a game. Field goal percentages gotta be off the charts
So the NCAA scrubs the no-foul horrible call from the highlights....? Weak. Typical NCAA move.
It’s absolutely disgraceful that we can spend 10 minutes at the monitor to determine whether to add .3 onto the clock but we CAN’T review whether the refs just blew a call on the single biggest play of the game with 20 seconds to go.
That was an all-time classic absolutely ruined by a blown call. Samford deserved so much better than that.
We all got scammed.
Agreed 💯 it was intentional, they were NOT going to let Kansas lose
@@HyperBeamCollectibles Where did I say that one missed call was the reason Samford lost? All I said was that it’s a joke that we can spend all this time reviewing the tiniest details, but we for some reason we can’t review it when officials actually miss a call in the biggest moment of the game.
I get refs are human and will make mistakes, but there is zero excuse for not being able to review things and make sure the correct call is made when we can review everything else.
@@HyperBeamCollectiblesthat one play literally decided the game
That ref was like a 1A HS ref anticipating that call from half court. Idk why they can’t just wait and see the play in its totality. Part of the reason I don’t watch college in the regular season.
It’s a ft contest at the end of every game in college.
No guarantees they even win, let it play out they were still down 1 and a great finish coming one way or another
The audacity to not even show the blown call that very well could’ve changed the outcome of that game🤦♂️
Even Kansas fans know that was a clean block at the end not a foul.
Had bets on Kansas but that "foul" was egregious man. poor samford
The refs seem to have heard about your bets and wanted to help you out.
well the line was a lot more than -4 so wouldn't matter either way
Come on NCAA. Grow some and show the block that would have changed the game completely at the end.
Someone who missed the game would have no idea what the most talked about play would be if they watched these highlights. Really poor job.
Gotta love how they conveniently left out the most controversial play
No One:
March Madness: * makes 15 minute highlight reel of game*
Also March Madness: * does not include single most talked about play of the game*
Got some real big brains working for you there.
That incredible block by Samford wasn't a highlight?
Fr lol, ref had money on Kansas 😂 terrible call
There was an almost identical call on a clean blocked dunk in the first half that Samford got called for a foul.
worst foul call in ncaa history
Hyperbole...but it was pretty bad
Oh my! The sky is falling because you think something seemed unfair in a game? Crybabies and sports just seem to go hand in hand don't they? I guess that was the only call in that game that was "missed" or that mattered. You should just quit commenting until you are mature enough to understand how life (and games) work. You are the "worst call" on this site, so now you are as famous as your BS claim.
Easily the worst foul call in the NCAA since the 2019 Final Four where Auburn was cheated out of a title against Virginia.
Bro shut up you cannot act like they were horrible both ways. The refs played a biiiig part in samford’s comeback
No one asked you to shut up somebody@@chasereed433
One of the worst calls at the end of the game I’ve ever seen
Where’s the “non blocked” shot? Pathetic
Truly wrecked lifetime memories for these Samford kids.
How comr they dont show the controversial call? I left them down 14 points last night
convenient to not show the very clean block (called a foul) that let kansas make it a 3 point game...
Yeah, it’s easy to spot a clean foul in slow motion. Stay on the couch, bud.
@@andrewvisser7391 ur right, that’s why when it happened in real time I said “nice block” stay on the couch
Pretty useless argument since KU won by 4.
@@nette5773without the foul then they wouldn’t be shooting those freethrows
@@andrewvisser7391it was easy to spot ay full speed too
Seriously, how do you NOT show the block? Biggest play of the entire day and you edit it out? Awful
Absolutely terrible call by the refs and they don't show it
Kansas fan here. Honest opinion, I thought in real time that it looked like a foul. Clearly the replay shows it literally could not have been cleaner, he didn't touch him anywhere. Not ball first then hand or then body - legitimately 100% all ball. Shame it couldn't have been reviewed.
With that being said, it is March and I will take a W anyway I can get one, but can't help but feel sorry for Samford. Also that play they ran with 22.2 left to get that 3 was a thing of beauty.
14:24 Beautiful Play Design 😍👨🏾🏫👌🏾
Kansas good win 🥹
The most important play of the game was not included in the highlights??? Do better. The clean block foul call with 15 seconds left took away the fantastic ending this game deserved.
Samford Bulldogs, amazing job! Even though they came up short, they shook up Kansas. Kansas survived, but the Samford team is a very talented team!
Pretty crazy to see all the highlights of all the no-calls on Kansas fouls, yet y'all REFUSE to show an EGREGIOUS blown call that changed the outcome of the game. Unbelievable.
Funny how everyone thinks about the blown call but not about samford trying to mess up Dickinson's already injured arm
Egregiously bad call on the "foul." NCAA needs to implement replays for the tournament.
@@HyperBeamCollectiblesbro responding to every comment, bro is glazing a basketball program that’s crazy😭😭
You should implement replays for your life if you are under the misconception that things have to turn out your way to be fair. Laughing at your immaturity.
@@marknorthrup4897how could u possibly look at that and think it’s a foul
@@marknorthrup4897 Mark, there's nothing immature about that suggestion. It was objectively the wrong call. And the technology is available to overturn those. Your comparison to "life" is beyond moronic.
@@marknorthrup4897look up VAR sped
samford lost on one of the worst calls I've ever seen
@@HyperBeamCollectibles Oh shut up!
@@ianmcclure3936…For telling the truth? 🤣
@@ianmcclure3936u know its bad when they leave the call out of the highlights yet the commentators are talking about it
There are probably 300 "calls" in a game, but This is the one that made Samford lose? really? Just showcasing ignorance dude. Should just accept the facts.
@@marknorthrup4897 Huh? It literally was the reason for why they lost. It was a clean block, and would have given Samford a fair opportunity to win the game, but since they called that foul. It took any momentum or energy they would have had on that final drive. That foul was basically a reset for Kansas and gave them the opportunity to set up their defense. So, you can say whatever you want about the call, but at the end of the day, it was a bad call and was a sour way to end what was a great game up to that point.
Love how the most important play is not included in this recap
15 minutes and I didn't see the foul. Pointless.
Samford just would not go away.🏀
Will there be shorter highlights uploaded for the games?
Final score: Refs 93, Samford 89.
Agreed 💯
flopping all game😂😂😂 bums this was the only call Kansas got the whole game and ofc it had to be controversial should’ve just taking the easy layups or the free throws.
Thank you
@@tmoneyproductions2579 Yeah no they were not. Such a dumb comment
Sanford was flopping the whole game and never got a warning
That play call at 14:25 is beautiful
The State of Alabama is proud of Samford!!
Samford inbound play for that last 3 was crazy 😭
the biggest bail out ever 😂
Need different net at Samfords end
Skip the biggest play of the game 😂
When does Samford play again?
Disgraceful, referees need to be held accountable
Great effort Samford hold your heads high 😁Mmm Kansas I dunno about progressing past 2nd round after this one
Troy vs Texas A&M women's basketball moment (not showing the call(s) at the end)
4:33 How stiff were the nets at this game? KJ had a couple of dunks that almost popped back out because of the nets and this time it actually got stuck.
The fact that the blocked shot call wasn't reviewed needs to prompt a rules change.
Gutsy to not show the biggest play of the game and worst call
The blocked shot was clean. The officials appear to have turned a blind eye to that. Let’s give Samford a lot of credit for giving Kansas everything they have late in this game. If Kansas is going to beat Gonzaga, they must gang rebound and defend a lot better than they did tonight
The play with 14 seconds left in the game was clearly a clean blocked shot, NO foul.
Easy to spot the clean foul in slow motion.
yes, if only refs could see in "slow motion". heh but we expect them to or else the game was "fixed". @@andrewvisser7391
I don’t think the this should be blamed on the refs. From the broadcast angle at least, it definitely looked like the snag or guy bumped him. The problem is more so with the inability to review or challenge things like thay
@@DylpiqkleSTier No, you are wrong, it was a great defensive play, a clean block, the defender touched nothing but the basketball, an absolutely dreadful call. The KU player went down to the floor in an effort to have it appear as a foul, and his ploy was successful. NO FOUL!
Kansa is the bigger draw, unfortunately for Samford they are expendable. Hats off to Samford, they played their hearts out.
Robots be like*
“it’s the REFS u guys, the players and sports books are totally innocent!”
Why not show the “not block shot” at the end?
Half the commentary is “should’ve be a foul on kanas”
Justice for Samford…
How is Bill self still there
Rock CHALK
Horrible refs make horrible calls, sorry Samford, but why did the vid not show the horrible call
@@HyperBeamCollectiblesI know one play doesn’t decide games, however if the refs made the right call samford would have only been down by one point with plenty of time left
There was certain rules they can’t check replay for these stuff college basketball doesn’t have any coach challenges like nba too
When there’s a scrum or pile like that they always call a jump ball.
According to March Madness execs, this isn't a "highlight".
Well because Kansas is a big name and they don't want their rigjob to be outed. Now they'll pull in more revenue with their beloved Kansas making the second round.
That was a clean block at the end it 100% cost them the game. Worst refs I’ve ever seen.
@@user-sx5uq7zs1rright, but at least if the block was called correctly then they had a chance. 1 point difference with seconds remaining is a completely different game than 3 point difference
How do you cowards not include the block/foul in the highlight
free samford fire refs
I don’t think achor should be taking the last shot of the game (when they had like 10-15 seconds left) it should have went to the guy who made 3 3s previously.
Samford - nice scare - nice - scared one of the bet teams - wish they could have won!
Kansas has nothing to lose. So just go out there and play loose. No one expects you to go far. So prove everyone wrong. No pressure no expectations. So play loose and have fun. No one expects you to win. So prove them wrong.
As a Kansas fan I wish the officials wouldn’t help us, it just makes people hate ku.
haters gonna hate
@@lilg8017
....and likers are gonna like
I hate KU and Kstate even without the help of the Refs
@@Number7_RingGuy why? Here in the Midwest all we have is sports on television to get us through the winter unlike you coast dwelling city slickers. Y’all shouldn’t even own tv sets unless you live north of New York City
@@Number7_RingGuy I don't care about the ref bs. That's the NCAA's problem, whether they want to do something about it. Until then that's just the way the game is in it's current state. Take it or leave it.
Surprised ncaa recap will not include the controversial play, like they couldn't afford Kentucky and Kansas getting bounced the same day.
I had Samford winning on my bracket. bummer....
#4 Kansas will face #5 Gonzaga on Saturday in Salt Lake City in the Midwest Region 3:15pm on CBS
KU could have won by 15 but had too many defensive lapses.
That’s one of the worst calls I’ve ever seen. Vegas got what they wanted.
Purdue would never get the calls Kansas gets.
Gonzaga will take care of Kansas
God
The betting books ruining sports
I am so sick of Refs making critical game changing calls that are not clear and absolute inside of one minute to go. That block in full speed was clearly a good block. Officials should always err on the side of letting them play, especially late in the game so they don’t end up taking the game away from a team on a bad call. Brought back bad memories of Auburn and the 2019 Final Four.
All ball
Disgraceful. NCAA cowards leave out the blown call that cost Samford the game. KU living on their laurels.
Crazy to leave out the block at the end. Hiding history!
How do you make a FIFTEEN MINUTE highlight reel and manage to leave out the most consequential play of the entire game??!! Does this NCAA think this will somehow shield them from criticism over a blown call? Blowing that call is understandable, because missed calls happen all the time. This is willful deflection and trying to pretend like it never happened when we all know it did.
Samford would most probably have lost anyways but they were robbed of a chance to make a highlight reel for years to come. We were all robbed of that chance. Need to implement a coaches challenge, like max 2/game
The refs absolutely sold Samford. They were going to win. Down 1, all the momentum, with the ball and 15 seconds left. They had it. Not to mention that technical on coach after missing the over the back. Absolutely trash, these refs need to be seriously reviewed.
Also it would of been a 4 on 5 situation
Yeah they were horrible. They were horrible for Kansas, too! We tried to call a timeout, but they didn't give it to us. There were many fouls for Kansas that were very soft and so many offensive fouls that could have been called flops. But I get it, the dagger is absolutely that call that should have been a clean block. As a Kansas fan, I hate that the refs made the Jayhawks look like frauds. It's sickening and it needs to stop
U@@williamholke3325e3 I
Samford shot 37 three pointers and yet Kansas was called for more fouls. Enough, Samford got slurped
there is absolutely no guarantee they even make the shot...dont give a $hit about momentum..that doesnt guarantee they make the shot
The play before that block, KJ Adams was hit in the back on a break-away dunk..shoulda been an And1. Adams was also fouled on the loose ball scramble on the floor. And don't even get me started on how Hunter was hacked up all game. Go home, Bucky Ball.
Refs robbed us of a March Madness moment let alone not reviewable? Come on man..
what makes you think Samford would even have made the game winning shot?
@@carsonc29 Idk, maybe because they were literally drilling shots left and right for the entire second half while Kansas was doing nothing?
Here's a thought, don't get down by 21 points and you take the refs out of it.
Great game ruined by a horrible call at the end
You guys still think games aren’t rigged or helped by refs? How cute.
Close 😥
Nice how the refs just didn’t show the game deciding call that was the worst call I’ve ever seen
Dickinson swatting players almost every possession and no call
still not over this the refs actually handed kansas the game
Very telling to leave that botched call out of this video

Samford made the mistake of playing the full court harassment defense. Kansas isn't going to fall for it.
