Pineapples. I've been incorporating them along with fermented foods (natto, kimuchi) into my meal times. Also, consider how you cook. Reduce the oils. Try olive oil if that's a possibility. Boil instead of frying. Boiled chicken is pretty tasty when seasoned right. Natural seasonings instead of powdered ones. You've got this guys. 🎉 Slow progress is progress. 🎉

Yes, that is definitely one thing that I love about the area we are in. The nature around is beautiful. Especially areas where you see the palm trees dancing in the wind. Nature is a must for me though. Definitely one of those things I took for granted when I was living in Jamaica.

I always wonder how airline crew manage to have a normal life like go to the gym after flying a couple of sectors. My friend worked for an airline and was always tired. Something about constant changing altitudes.

This is coming from a Southwest frequent flyer lol
Alec, I’m the same way I canceled my gym membership because I love to powerwalk outside. I love the scenery where I live and conversing with other people. I normally do about 7 miles a day.

Keep up the good works excercising you guys can do it. Cut back on sugar and salt and carbohydrates like starchy foods. Use more vegetables steam fish and bake Chicken etc. Don't do frying, with the excercises watch things happen.

Good luck on your search....I do alot of either salad bowls like you had for lunch or burrito bowls or a combo of both. i use store bought fully cooked chicken or you could use a rotisserie chicken and chop it up and freeze it so its ready to go at a moments notice. I reheat the chicken in my air fryer along with chopped tomotatoes, onions & peppers that I also freeze. i season it up and i will sometimes add barbecue sauce or if its gonna be part of a salad i use salad dressing to combine it with the greens. Usually i have this with black beans and or rice in the bags that i microwave or sometimes i toss it in the airfryer with the reheated chicken. I also add avocado sometimes which can also be frozen or fresh. Its quick and filling and alot cheaper than going to Moe's or La Parilla for the same thing. Hope that helps

Hey Guys, try some stir fry dishes, I do chicken or beef, you can add whatever protein you like 👍🏽, Turkey burgers or spaghetti, google some Keto dishes that won’t cause any issues, I’m on the journey myself, I’m 63 and a retired Teacher but have 3 part time jobs, I’ve had both hips replaced and a candidate for getting my knees replaced, I’ll be bionic when done, lol I’ve started using protein powder and Chia seeds in my smoothies, the struggle is real! Yes, we definitely have realized how both our bodies react to different things, like what we eat, and the level of exercise required to see a noticeable change. As a recipe suggestion I suggest you take it back to Jamaica and make some Ital stew and since you said "No Vegetarian" I'd say make it not so ital by adding shrimp. So I guess you can call it "Not So Ital Stew"

Chick peas (canned for convenience) Drain chicken peas Sauté in oil: chopped onion, garlic, scallions (hot pepper optional) Add chick peas, black pepper, cumin and turmeric (or curry powder) Fry for about 5 minutes. This is a great lunch/ dinner idea and can be used as a side or main dish. Boiled eggs goes well with this. Hope you enjoy!

Hello Darlings, Being healthy is most important. Our bodies are different at different levels for each of you. One may require more. Being black sista & a fellow airline family. I was in weights & balance. However, I do have fellow friends who are and/or were flight attendants. As a black sista. Both of you, Darlings, a change or transition in the workplace/ environment mindset change, especially if toxic. At times, we are not aware of a toxic work environment. Do what's work for & family. ❤ I'll drop recipes. Do you like beans?
Yes, we definitely have realized how both our bodies react to different things, like what we eat, and the level of exercise required to see a noticeable change. Ahhh, that's a good point too about the workplace toxicity possibly contributing. We definitely are doing some things differently going forward though. Feel free to drop them recipes!
As a recipe suggestion I suggest you take it back to Jamaica and make some Ital stew and since you said "No Vegetarian" I'd say make it not so ital by adding shrimp. So I guess you can call it "Not So Ital Stew"

Chick peas (canned for convenience)
Drain chicken peas
Sauté in oil: chopped onion, garlic, scallions (hot pepper optional)
Add chick peas, black pepper, cumin and turmeric (or curry powder) Fry for about 5 minutes. This is a great lunch/ dinner idea and can be used as a side or main dish. Boiled eggs goes well with this. Hope you enjoy!
