  • For the first tome the Worlds Longest Hitter reveals the 3 secrets to hitting driver Longer - Any Golfer can learn to do this
If you have ever wanted to know how to hit the ball farther you are in for a real treat today.
I take a golf lesson from the Worlds Longest Hitter and current world long drive champion Martin Borgmeir. What he shares will help ANY golfer of ANY age hit driver longer...he guarantees it.
In fact he shares a story about one of his oldest clients, 82 year old Edward who gained 30 yards in just one golf lesson! Just like you he wasn't an athlete just an ordinary golfer with 3 common power leaks in his golf swing.
What amazed me and I'm sure is going to amaze you is none of the golf tips you are going to learn today require some dramatic change to your golf swing. Tip 2 for example was a simple change to my takeaway that took literally seconds to make.
Martin is an absolute gent and incredibly articulate. I just know you are going to love this lesson as much as I did.

    ABOUT DANNY
    -----------------------
Thanks for stopping by. I created this website as a resource just for you to support you on your golfing journey as I know how tricky learning this game can be
to say the least!
I personally found learning the game too long and difficult in the early days. I read all the books, watched all the videos but my game was not improving. Then after studying various forms of neuro science, motor learning, psychology and personal development in less than two years I went from struggling golfer to the final stage of the Open Championship.
On CZcams and my personal website (www.dannymaude.com) I will bring you the most up to date training, training that is getting tangible results for my clients right now. I don’t know where you are in your golfing journey, you could be just starting out or maybe your body isn’t as flexible as it once was or you’ve got ambitions to slash your handicap. Wherever you are I’ve created a place here you can learn, share your ideas, ask questions and get all the support you need to enjoy this great game.
Be prepared though. If its a quick fix you are after Im not your man. Here I will give you step-by-step advice that you can take straight to the practice ground and apply to the course but it will require you to get stuck in, screw up
a lot, practice some more and then watch those scores tumble
I’ve had the pleasure of coaching thousands of students all around the world and if you are up for the challenge and are ready to get in the game
LETS GO TO WORK!

This all makes perfect sense to me! Like many, I'm guilty of using very little weight transfer causing poor strike and club head speed, especially with irons! This video very much enhances your " catapult swing" videos by showing the extremes of motion used by long driving pros. Dialled back for use by us mere mortals, I'm sure this will help many to reinforce the concept. I'll certainly be working on this in my practice net during this awful weather! I’m 75 years old and definitely feel I have lost club head speed and distance. I watched this video and was somewhat skeptical if it would work for me. Practiced the technique on the range a few days then took it to the course. It ABSOLUTELY increased my club head speed and distance. Using the technique described in the video I was easily able to make a full backswing. The trigger for the the forward swing using that lead foot on the ground as soon as possible worked great. Initially I felt out of control but in reality it is just the opposite. It’s a free flowing swing and my old body felt good doing it. TYVM Danny. You continue to provide excellent information for the avid golfer.

Great session, Danny! Surprising how Martin breaks his process down in simple terms. After watching the Long Drive Competititions, the emphasis on kinetic, dynamic energy/motion seems to be a common trait. Basic fundamentals on steroids( instead of beginning downswing with pressure to the left foot, he "stomps"). Having strength, flexibility and a huge arc completes the circle.

It is a revelation to shift your weight then turn your shoulders and witness the new perspective it gives you on the ball.It feels so powerful and inviting. From such a position it becomes positively harder to start the downswing with anything other than the lower body.As is mentioned it is sometimes difficult to appreciate this weight shift in very good players. However if you look for it you will also find in many videos of lots of other good players that their heads move backwards from about 3 to 5 inches. You will also notice that the back shoulder has also moved backwards at least 2 inches. The important thing is that the pressure is fully 75 to 80% on the inside of the trail foot.In fact by the time the club is at hip height in the backswing the pressure is fast approaching this degree of pressure shift. The pressure shift also applies to the smallest of chips and pitches, obviously it is more subtle but this pressure shift feeling assists correctly sequenced accurate ball striking for increased consistency. This realisation has helped me drop from 22 to 14 HCP in a couple of seasons.I have only stayed at 14 due no qualifying competitions over the late autumn winter in the UK.My last outings (I admit over a shortened course) have been all from 79 to 83.Importantly yesterday I hit 17 out of 18 tee shots onto the fairway or the green using this vital aspect of the golf swing.I shot 82 but that was down purely to putting.I left at least 7 shots on the course due to poor putting. But that as they say is another story.

Danny, it’s all coming together for me. Firstly your instruction to keep 60% of your weight on your front foot for iron play. This helped me to transfer my weight to the front foot on the down swing. This is just like throwing a ball where most power comes from the ground. This is then exaggerated by the long driver technique which goes against current teaching of slowly back in the backswing .
Finally, the tip of lifting the heel on the back swing was used by Jack Nicklaus. Probably, the majority of higher handicap golfers are too static and generally hitting off the back foot.

    • @DanielMaude

Yes .. “give yourself permission to be an athlete ( not so much an engineer) “ .. got me 15-20 yds on the simulator.. note I also played the ball high and quite forward which I think accommodates a bit more movement. I was also straighter with this so will definitely pursue this.

A great video on how to use simple steps to get more distance. The inserts of him working on speed training - swinging left and right is a reminder that the golf swing is two ways and you need to work on both sides of the body (lead and trail). A great lesson as always and it was a blast seeing his drives disappear into the night.

I just got back from practicing. I did some speed training and focused on extending my lead leg like martin suggested. My coach always tells me the same thing but i resist it for some reason. My club head speed went from 107 to 115. I have trouble hitting up on the ball, and i could go as far as 4 degrees down. I increased my launch without even having thinking about hitting up. Awesome stuff

Seems like the old timers used to use the feet a lot more when I was growing up. I am sure Nicklaus had some of these same elements in his swing. Squashing the tomato I think he called it. What a great way to get more distance and free up your body. I am sure I can get another 20 yards soon. Thank you Danny and Martin. Very balanced video here.

You're telling me! As I watched this video - with first-class explanations by Martin - I couldn't help remembering Nicklaus's video series "Golf My Way." He talks about everything happening from the ground up, about how the feet should move as they do in all sports (tennis is mentioned), and indeed, there are some slow-motion shots of the great man from behind, where you can clearly see his left heel coming down and the lower body starting to turn back towards the ball as he is still completing his backswing.Great to see the same mechanics being used and explained fifty years later. Excellent video. Well done Martin and Danny.

Great segment, nice guy and super useful information. I just recently started to use a left heel plant to trigger my downswing. It works great but you must get it down before your hands move at the top of the backswing. You simply cannot get your lead heel down too early.
