*How it works?*
Batteries for screwdrivers and other tools lose their capacity and ability to hold a charge over time due to chemical processes occurring inside them. However, if you have a dead battery and a working battery, you can try to revive them. Connecting a good battery to a bad one can help rebalance the charge, which will temporarily restore the old battery's functionality.
*Recovery steps:*
1. Take the faulty battery and a fully charged working battery.
2. Connect them together using wires, making sure to connect plus to plus and minus to minus.

@@noelmadigan8672 Does this make sense? This may be easy with a 12V device. With an 18V drill you still need a DC-DC converter with enough power. The cigarette lighter is not designed for high currents and there was definitely a reason for the “wireless” when you bought it. But you're right, a dead battery is a dead battery. only way to fix properly, is to dissemble and change the dud cell, its usually one. I have done this twice. MUST be careful to avoid adjacent contacts. Snip the old cell out, after using a volt meter to locate and solder in a new one. e.g. remove and use a Lidl cell.
