- The Navier Boat crew hosted a future tech themed rave party on board the USS Hornet aircraft carrier and invited me down to check it out. It was very different video than what I normally do, but I really enjoyed experiencing and learning something new. There were a lot of cool and interesting ideas and products there, and the party was packed full of incredibly smart people.
Stay tuned for more Navier Boat videos in the future!!

Great to see the USS Hornet again. I served aboard her in 68-69, and was aboard for Apollo 11 recovery. Just visited her again in May, getting sentimental in my old age.
I bet you got some good stories. Could you share one with us?
Thank you for your service!
X2 thank you for your service
Thank you sir for your service!!
Thank you for your service 🙏 God Bless You
Casey paying attention to all the nerds and actually engaging with them. Very impressive.
Well he is kinda a nerd, not in the same topic as most "nerds" but still
So many "ooh squirrel" moments in this video!
This is something that Casey is “Really Good At !”
Ha ha ! I thought it was just me , ohhh look theres a talking head .
Casey interacting with tech nerds might be one of my favorite things.
Watching Casey on this aircraft carrier is like watching one of those cartoons with the dog that gets distracted by everything. It's great seeing you enjoy yourself because you have been so busy lately.
That ship picked up the first astronauts to land on the moon, after they splashed down in the Pacific.
Oh yes, the moon that we supposedly landed on.... 😆
And now it hosts weird rave parties with cybertrucks.. it's almost like something isn't right
@@LTSRIDE24after passing through the Van Allen Belt twice...which we no longer have the tech to do. We have been limited to Low Earth Orbit ever since. All the flight data tapes were "accidentally recorded over" so they will never be available for scrutiny. How very convenient.
Ass tro not Don Pettit said he would go back to the moon, "in a nanosecond" if we hadn't destroyed the tech they used and it would be very expensive to replicate, even though NASA's budget is over $50 million per day. Makes you kind of wonder what they're spending it on. We do know that NASA is the largest consumer of Heium (to launch multi-million cubic foot "sataloons") in case you're ever unable to buy helium balloons for your children's birthday parties.
@@LTSRIDE24 the moon that supposedly is "real"
Even tho the USS Hornet is decommissioned, I'm surprised that the government would allow Casey on it because even the government hates Casey LaDelle! 🤣🤣🤣
Now that's funny!
Well, it was stricken, so, yeah, as far as I know, it's only supported privately.
😂😂😂😂
Yea they all bought a shirt! : )
The government hates Casey because he makes better roads than they do.
I have never thought of this channel as a "Normal" channel. It's part of it's appeal to me. The boat, the planes, the tech all very cool to me.
Love this video! For the record, I watch your channel to watch YOU. No matter what you do, from towing to aircraft carrier, your joy in sharing what makes you happy is absolutely wonderful. Your sense of humor is hilarious. I have been following you for a very long time and I’ve seen the variety of stories you’ve shared and I totally agree with you that you should do the things that make you happy. Your channel is named Casey LaDelle and there’s more to Casey than just towing. So, yes please, share more Casey adventures.
You're having fun...and we're coming, too.
Thank you.
❤Thanks Casey❤
That was FUN!!!
Did you ever imagine that starting your own recovery CZcams channel would open up all the opportunities that we as watchers get to enjoy through you? It is an amazing journey and thank you for taking us along. I'm looking forward to your visit to the International space station in an upcoming video.
That made me laugh lol..”hey look a propeller” lmao 😂
Casey is a very non nerdy person attending an event filled with some of the nerdiest people. This is fantastic.
Casey you say that you're not good at recoveries, but you're a guy who truly has a heart of pure gold! And you're stumping a lot of these tech guys! I love how you say that you never said you're not good at this but proving the truth that you're truly good at way more!
And we have fun following all your adventures. Keep bringing us along please, and thank you!
You're having fun.. we have fun following all your adventures. Keep bringing us along please, and thank you!
Definitely a cool experience to visit a US aircraft carrier...
My dad was on the USS Hornet in the 60's. Cool to see this video! And thanks for the health update.
I was U.S.S. Ranger late 70's. Bird farms Rule
When I was a kid, my dad was in the Secret Service and I went to the commissioning in the USS Nimitz. I sat behind the Captain and next to President Nixon in a golf cart, taking a tour. The only part I really remember is the plane elevators are really fast
I got to go out of Norfolk for a day on the Nimitz. I couldn't believe they allowed family and friends on the flight deck while they launched and retrieved jets. They also did low fly overs which was cool.
@@jimt1240 US Navy tradition, called a Tiger Cruise
I spent 18 months in the Marine Detachment on the Nimitz in 89-90 Every time Casey marveled how large the Hornet is I was like uh not really lol.
On a side note we used to use paintball guns to train shipboard tactics when we were in home port at Puget Sound Shipyard. One of the decomishioned ships we used for that training was Hornet.
Good morning Casey and thumbs UP!!👍
I love your videos. Take this as a compliment. It’s like watching the world’s coolest 10yr old stuck in an adult man’s body. You don’t act smarter than me even tho you are and you go out of your way to make people smile. The world needs more Caseys.
“Ooooo, this one’s got a gun in it…ooooo there’s a jet, let’s go look at that!” Why does the first 2 minutes remind me of a kid in a toy store? 😂
Perfect!😁
Some of the folks in this video thought that they were at a military convention, lol! It was fun watching Casey interviewing them and listening to their sales pitch. I enjoyed seeing some of the interesting things that people tried selling to the special forces community and the military in general. Wrist watches made in China with built in GPS that the manufacturer can track? The people that were trying to sell those got kicked out of that trade show and received a permanent ban. Most of it was good stuff, but some of it was crazy. A heat source to power a solar panel probably won't get many orders, hah hah!
Thank you Casey for being us along....... very interesting stuff for sure...... love the carrier.
Pulled two tours to the South China sea on that old girl great ship good memories.
Thank you for your service.
My father was a 22-year Navy veteran. Pearl Harbor, Midway and Korean war survivor.
1 tour on the New Orleans, 2 on the Ranger, and 1.5 on the Oriskany. The Ranger was home-ported out of Alameda at the time. We almost lost me to the South China Sea, but fortunately, or not, that didn't happen.
Oh, and I forgot to mention the work-ups, shake-down, short cruises, tiger cruises and so on. I spent the vast majority of 4 years at sea - in a helicopter squadron! That contributed greatly to my not re-upping.
@@tetedur377 Pulled 1 on the Midway before going to the Hornet.
"hey look! A propeller!" 😂
That looked like a cool event. Thank you for bringing us along. That 1st aircraft on the flightdeck that you said you didn't know what it was is an S-3 Viking. It was used for hunting submarines.
Casey and friends living life and having lots of fun too!
Too funny, we were just discussing taking friends to the Hornet in a few weeks when they come to visit. My old workshop (literally in some of your shots) was right around the corner from the Hornet, but the city decided that industrial space was not welcome.
My grandpa was on this ship back in the late 50s! He was the barber and soda fountain down in the belly! It was all shut down when we took the tour but he talked to someone who personally walked us down! You can see the tears swelling and the nostalgia of those memories! Best story he told was him cutting someone really high up like the Chief, they told him give me a ten second cut and half way thru he nipped his ear! My grandpa went to stop and he already told him "did I tell you to stop?" I loved hearing all his stories, God do I miss him!❤
Your channel is called 'Casey LaDelle' .... not 'Casade Heavy Rescue' .... so your videos should be about whatever it is you are doing and want to share with us. I enjoy all your adventures, Casey, and will watch whatever it is that you do.
This one was very interesting. I just wish I could have heard everything better. There was too much background noise for me to understand what the various people were saying. And I can't do closed captioning, so don't even mention it.
Have you tried using the Transcript while watching? It’s helped me catch a few things that weren’t heard easily in video on some occasions…not perfect but because it’s separate from the video, it’s not as distracting.
They're cool til your out at sea for 8 months or more. You're suppose to ask permission to come aboard and go ashore but if there's no officer on deck that's a pass.
This is the Casey LeDelle reality channel. Love every minute of it.
Was in the US Navy 1980 when this was getting set up for the public. Took a bunch of sailors on board, for ghost hunting. We had one SF Ranger with us, he was the only one who never ran off, everyone else scattered. This place was absolutely crawling in dead sailors. Funny every time I see the main hangar, remember the black sailor who appears, hanging from the ceiling. The smoking sailor down the aft open deck, the one's down in the boiler area, on and on it went. Reckon there was 400 dead sailors stuck on that boat. Thanks Casey for the format change, don't mind it at all if you get to enjoy yourself.
When my sister was a chief she was on the John C. Stennis, my dad oldest son who was 8 at the time and I got to go on a Tiger cruise from Pearl Harbor to San Diego. Got to shoot a 50 cal off the side of the boat and sit inside most of the jets they still had onboard along with a bunch of other things they probably don't do anymore. Was a great experience for us, also got to meet an Admiral who called my dad a hero.
The Delorean, Back to the Future car!! That remote is from the first Back to the Future movie, where Doc Brown puts his dog, Einstein, in the car for a test run, in the beginning of the movie. He controls the car remotely. Yep, I'm a BTTF nerd, love it!! I am a happy nerd to see that! Want! :)
We had fun like you Casey
My Dad, a Marine fighter pilot, landed on the Hornet, and also the Midway in San Diego. Cool video Casey.
Great idea for your videos, Casey. This is fun! I would suggest to Sam to contact someone such as Jeremy Clarkson, James May, or Richard Hammond, to spotlight his boat on their CZcams or Amazon shows.
Wild trip! I would've been so completely overstimulated in that space. But I'm glad you were able to go and share some of that experience. I'm in favor of your idea to lean in to the seasonality of your businesses and use interesting experiences to satisfy the pressure of producing content on your channel.
Brings back many awesome memories of my days as a boiler technician on another carrier the CV-67 1mmr
Think you could make watching paint dry interesting. Good luck with whatever you do; I will continue watching. Just stay safe. The world needs people like you.
I served aboard the USS AMERICA CVA 66 in 1972 and 73. I was in Squadron VA 86 and we had A7C aircraft!!! We were off the coast of Vietnam!!!
Love Casey…hey gun, hey drone, hey jet, hey lights, hey jet hooks, hey VIP guest, educational CZcams in technology, party, aircraft carrier and informational bubble. Thanks Sam!
This has been very cool, Casey! Thanks for taking your BABY BOOMERS along with you!
The outside-the-box thinking from back when is soooo much different from now, and I am super impressed.
.....Also....I was so not expecting to see Casey in that electric car. That alone blew my mind....
Enjoyed the production, as a retired Navy Senior Chief I'd like to share that when landing on an aircraft carrier, the F-14 Tomcat typically throttles to a speed of around 178 knots (approximately 205 miles per hour). The carrier’s arrestment gear can handle landings at this speed. Happy 4th of July from Lower Alabama!!!!!!!
Very cool trip. Hornet is interesting to wander. My history geek brain immediately starts coughing up 10,000 random trivia facts about it, and it's namesakes. Doolittle Raid in WWII launched B-25's from it's predecessor, which if I remember right was sunk in '42. Nice change of pace, Casey!
Probably one of the most storied ships of the line in U.S. history. Which is why it's a museum, and not, say, razor blades.
Alameda! Where they keep the Nooklear Wessels :-) Enjoyed the Hornet tour. The only better floating museum is the Midway.
I’m so excited to follow this video. Don’t know anything about this world but love seeing it. So jealous, wish I could be there. In May 1998 when the USS Missouri was docked in Astoria, Oregon before going the Hawaii I took my young children there to tour the ship. They were too young to realize what the significance of that ship was, but by golly they were there. I still get goose bumps thinking of that day.
My point of view, I'm just hanging with Casey, Don't mind what we do!
Thanks for sharing Casey.
Very interesting. I worked on Navy ships in that air station for 23 years. Mostly carriers including the Enterprise and the Carl Vinson. I still live about 1/2 an hour away from there. It would have been nice to meet you.
Sitting on the couch drinking morning coffee watching you have fun…for the win.
Thanks for bringing us along, enjoy it.
Good for you man, so stoked for you as a person for getting yourself in the position to do all of this.
Casey you are on the 2nd USS Hornet. If you look on CZcams you will see the wreckage of the first Hornet. What is especially cool about that is the Massey Ferguson tractor sitting on it chained down.
Absolutely amazing! I'm so glad you got to do that!
Thanks for the tour and hearing a bit more of your life’s story.
You know that whatever you record is NORMAL for your channel. And we have fun watching them ❤🎉
Very cool video, Casey, thank you!
Thank you for sharing all of this amazing tech Casey !
Very nice video! Thx Casey!
an icebreaker ship tour would be awesome! i know there's plenty of foundations and historians that have already made extremely knowledgeable videos about them, but it's a whole lot more fun coming along with you on you "1-in10,000" moment, learning new things
YES! a UFO detector!
Straight out of "The Rorschach Explorer Missions" sci-fi. Cool!
Yes, fun in the snow, pulling, towing, hauling, then in summer, fun in the sun, with fun videos. Sounds great. Go Fer It, Get Er Done !
Fun video. Thanks for taking us along
I spent time on the USS HANCOCK CVA19 IN 1975. I was a Boiler Technician.
Your child like curiosity (and I mean it in a good way) is infectious. Life should include learning, seeing, experiencing new things as often as possible!
AWESOME!
Awesome! Loved this a lot
Great to see all the new tech stuff.
Fun stuff Casey! Thanks for bringing us along.
Very educational ride a long. The funniest thing was you turning the key to start the smart car. 😃
Right on Casey, Welcome to my hometown of Alameda! My Dad was a 30 years in the Navy, and served on 3 carriers, 2 repair and an ammo ship, my high-school just on the south border of the base, Funny, Me n the family just came back from Visiting Oregon for our first time, week before last, stayed in Sunriver, visited Bend and Sisters while there, loved it
Love following all your adventures. What has made you a favorite is all the different "follow along" adventures you go on.
Great video. Whatever you film, I will watch! Thank you.
Great video, interesting stuff. I like your idea that you mentioned at the end about "summer fun & travel" videos. Hope you get to go to Europe next year and help demo those boats. Have a great Fourth of July.
Thx Casey Very Interesting
Casey, So interesting to all the ship, aircraft, etc. Thank you so much for sharing with us. God Bless you and yours
You get to these places by being yourself and being honest.
Awesome video!!
Thanks for taking me along with your videos its very enjoyable. As always have a great day
Good friend of mine gone now was on the original Hornet when Doolittles Raiders bombed Tokyo. He was in it when the Japanese sank it at the Battle of Santa Cruz. He was in the water 5 hours until a destroyer picked him up. I bet you could back it in its berth Casey !
Casey what an amazing and incredible trip for sure!!! It was awesome to hear about your early years and I may not have been interested in flight school in the military I wanted to be in the marines or special ops but I also had health issues when I was younger!!! I was 2 years old when I went through my health issues!! I had bladder cancer and had an ostomy bag also but still kept getting sick every year anywhere from 3 to 6 and 7 times and every time I would end up in the hospital it would be 7 days or longer!!! Nothing less than 7 days!! It has definitely been hard finding jobs over the years because most companies would end up depending on you and if I was gone and in the hospital they would have to try and find someone to take my spot until I was better and back!! They would definitely not like that!!! So I have done many different things over the years and have lots of experiences in different things but end up having to move on!!! When I was in 6th or 7th grade I ended up going in to have another big surgery to try a new way of getting rid of my ostomy bag and being one of the first ever to try!!! Over the years I have had several new ways of ways to try and help me out!!! I’m 44 now witch I definitely did not expect to live this long for sure!!! You and I have some unique things that we share I guess to say!!! Anyway awesome video and I’m glad to join you in the venture!!! It was definitely so much fun!!!
6:52 that’s why we call them ladders in the Navy.
Thanks Casey. I feel so old. Good to see what is out there
Good attitude Casey for adventures.
Lucky guy to get to attend that event. I too would accept any and all similar opportunities. Thanks for bringing us along
Great vid Casey, keep them coming
That was JUST GREAT✌
You make them, I’ll watch them!
This is interesting. Thanks Casy.
i loved it.
Outstanding !!! Love this kind of stuff.!! I've been on Carriers, Battle Ships, Cutters, Cruisers, Submarines etal. Love it !!! Great video Bro !!!
I enjoyed it, Casey was like a kid in a candy store. So many interesting displays, so many off the chart smart people. Glad you were invited. You getting in that Hot Wheel was the cherry on top 😂 But hey, you actually fit.... pretty well. Thanks for taking us along. Stay safe and GOD bless
Way COOL!!! Great stuff! Rock on brother!
Epic toys in there. Cool video Casey.
Awesome video, keep them coming
Random cool videos are awesome!!! Love every minute
