In fact, Chanyeol wrote the lyrics based on D.O. power which is Earth or Force which is neat. The whole album is resembles on the members powers (except title track "Tempo") that being shown on their teasers.

'Gravity' is a musical masterpiece
The entirety of Don't Mess Up My Tempo album is amazing. So many gems in that album: Ooh La La La, 24/7, Damage are some fan favourites. The bridge in Ooh La La La remains iconic to this day, never get tired of that song.
You should check out “Going Crazy”, I think you’ll definitely like it. EXO also has amazing ballads, I recommend “baby don’t cry”, it’s really beautiful

What i love about this song is how the production of it matches with the lyrics. Their voices sound echo-y, the instrumental dissonant sometimes and very intense with layering . The lyrics talk about their own voice being an echo and lingering because their lover has left them, and the instrumental matches that and the internal chaos that heartbreak causes.
Gravity is so good. I’m glad that you are going to react to the live stage, for me is the best Exo live performance.

This song got lost for me among the rest on the album, until I saw it live. I can't hear it now without visualising the choreography and it's become one of my favourites.
My first listen to this song has the same reaction as you. But I like it now as I listen to it more. The performance for this song was so dope that make me love it so much.

There are some songs in EXO, where i might not be vibing much with the song in the beginning but then Chanyeol's rap part comes and hits me in the right way possible that makes me love the song itself..... So Gravity was one of that songs for me. But let me tell you, the live performance for this song is something you might enjoy and like entirely bcz even now while listening to the song, i could only see the performance/their expressions in my head.

Don't worry I didn't like the song at first but once I was listening and I don't know what happened, maybe I was in that type of mood but the song just clicked in my mind and I started to listen to it more and paying attention and I ended up liking it more. It has an airy feeling too it and then the lyrics are kinda ..sad.
