Wonderful comparison, thank you! Just scored wicket and leia, scout and speeder bike (SS) for a whopping $700. Happy. Will see how it turns out, sounds too good to be true for these days.
All that for $700?! Does sound a bit too good to be true, but if you've ordered from a reputable place or using payment options with protection, then you should be ok!

Great comparison! The gap you mentioned between the front mould panel and horizontal rods on the Hot Toys do exist in the movie, specifically on the miniatures they've used. Although the full size ones the actors rode on do have a lesser gap. The same can be said about the handle wires/rods. I think HT made the decision to replicate the miniature models more.

I noticed with the Mandalorian scout trooper that the blaster isn't as accurate as the Sideshow one. Which is nuts, cause SS isn't known for getting anything more right than HT. With Sideshow's smaller size, the tinier tip of the barrel, and how the scope (which is so silly a short-ranged tiny gun has a scope) is right up against the blaster is all more accurate. Haven't checked it out, but maybe the Mandalorian version is totally different than the Jedi one, and HT just decided to just reuse it. And something weird I _just now_ found out about, the trigger is a button on the side of the grip. I think the way it's made, you'd have to use your middle finger to fire it.

Just got mine today, and man the box is smaller than I imagine. Never had the SS bike, but I knew it and the HT one are accurately scaled. I'm just so used to the old hasbro 1/6 version, or just any of the smaller scaled ones being a lot larger compared to a trooper.
I heard the scale isnt all that accurate for either the SS or HT versions, but it's close enough for me.
Hot toys speederbike picks up all the nuance of what makes its design look sexy. The sideshow bike awkardly inserts details without the streamline quality of the original.

Even though they look so different, I thought the HT blaster rifle was supposed to be the same one from SS, but turns out it is an entirely different gun. I guess both of 'em appeared in the Battlefront games. It's nice to get a totally different weapon to add to the trooper armory...even if I'm not displaying it with the figure.
Always good to get some variety in the weapons and other accessories.

Can you let me know how the scout scales up next to a regular stormtrooper? Not sure why HT made him so tall? Also which one looks more in scale seated on the bikes?
I think I’m liking the sideshow bike better actually. Maybe I can get one on eBay for a decent price…
That base from Hot Toys looks cheap. I hate those overlays, they never look good.

I was thinking of taking a pic with the HT troopers together, but need to get the other troopers out from under their acrylic case. Might do that this weekend and post pics on the Facebook page and insta, so check there if you can.
I won't bother putting the troopers on their bikes, but you can find pics of those online too. I reckon you'd be happy with either bike. Not sure what current prices are like on ebay.
The butt flap on the SS version is the more accurate.
