Rural patients are the hardest guys you’ll ever work on. You’d have to prolly do like 1000 misdiagnosis depending on their information till you reach one correct one.

🙏thank you for stating that the source of all the issues you mentioned is FUNDS FUNDS FUNDS...Our government is really failing us and unfortunately things don't look any better in the future 😓

The problem with consulting on time frame for rural patients ,is also part of the gact that its really the most uncomfortable thing to do ..free things are stressful the ehole process nje is disgcouraging.

So if you want to specialise it's a bit harder to get back to teaching circuit hospitals coming from rural hospitals.
    - In Rural hospitals you're lucky to be placed in a specific department e.g. paeds. Most of the time you do and see everything (as in district hospitals). Sometimes there's wierd arrangements which make it hard to say what you actually have experience in e.g. allocated to maybe 2 departments. It may not matter if you want to do family medicine.
-To combat point number 1 you have to have primaries (have studied) to get an advantage when applying to be a reg.
    - Sometimes even though you're in a specific department e.g. Ortho because of lack of facilities e.g. C Arm, you may not do certain ops in the hospital therefore there's gaps in your experience.
    - Because you work in a e.g. chc you may not qualify to write certain primaries or diplomas because your hospital is not 'approved' or accredited
-If you stay in teaching hospitals they know you and therefore consider you more when it comes to registrar applications

But ever since I lost my medical aid I hate seeking for medical attention because you get to the hospital only to be given a date for 3 months down the line yhuu iyadika lantooooo
