  • Starting with the mission briefing, this video is a compilation of clips capturing as much dialogue as I could find during the eighteenth elusive target contract for Hitman 2: The Serial Killer, set in Whittleton Creek. Enjoy!

    How do you get with the Censor to the last location?

    • @Euler13
      @Euler13  Před 4 lety +495

      I used the civilian-gun-lure trick. Basically you place a gun in a place where the "target" can see it and just as they turn to go to report it, you quickly pick it up and conceal it. You need to make sure you get the timing right and no other NPCs see you. If you get it right he or she will follow you anywhere. When they catch up they make some scathing comment about being irresponsible with a firearm. I use it in The Batty Tranquillity escalation (level 3). You can check it out here (time indexed to start at the right place): czcams.com/video/r0xBQVDQlpY/video.html

    Some of the elusive targets make such nice missions. I really hate that the devs made all of them time-gated/locked. I only found out about the game few months ago and have missed 62 targets... Makes it awful experience for new players.

    • @honkp6065
      @honkp6065 Před 3 lety +15

      It's insanely shortsighted of the devs to implement a feature this way. Considering that the game is going to be available for years and years into the future, restricting content to only being available on what is essentially the launch day means that the MASSIVE majority of players will never experience or enjoy the content that the devs put so much hard work into.
      If they wanted to artificially inflate the value of cosmetic rewards, all they have to do is disable rewards while still allowing access to the content. That way diehard fans get their unique customized load outs and the new fans still get to experience the full game. The current set up is a lose lose for almost everyone; if I bought Hitman 3 TODAY I would have already missed the cutoff for every elusive target window.
      I really dislike how hard IO has been forcing online elements into a game that is completely playable offline, it restricts a lot of the content in the game for a small period of time in what will the game's overall life span. Their servers will shut down long before people stop playing which means eventually we'll have to rely on third party preservation methods like videos like this just to see content that exists on the game we already spent money on.

    This mission and the sheer amount of dialogue in it were pretty interesting for sure, especially how unsubtle the Censor was with his comments here yet none of the guests picked up on it.
    I just wish they had made more out of this contract, since it's practically just any other civilian target that you kill in this game. What I think would have actually been pretty cool for this one is if target actually walked around a few secluded places on the map and just kills civilians there when they're all alone, so your job would be to neutralize him before he can actually kill any more people, plus maybe there could have been a system where the killer actually gets suspicious at you if you stay around him for too long and then attacks you as well. Also, it seems odd to me that you are supposed to stop a serial killer, yet you can massacre the whole map without fearing failing this one at all. I can understand why they didn't make it like that, since there really aren't any other instances of NPCs killing each other in the game otherwise, but it sure would have been cool anyway. Just food for thought.
