    Good to see more coverage on this as most doctors have no clue. There is an in depth article on EPI written by Dr. Freedman and Dr. Struyvenberg that anyone with EPI should read. Another really helpful up-to-date resource on EPI is the book Primal Pancreas.

      99% of doctors these days are totally clueless. If whats wrong is not staring them in the face they have no clue

    I had low lipase levels for 10+ years without physicians knowing what was wrong. They all assumed only high lipase levels were of concern, even though I questioned them. Creon is helping.

    My doctor never diagnosed it, I had to tell the doctor and then he wrote the prescription for the enzymes and my diarrhea stopped within 2 days.

      @@SarahSmith-hd8kd It was before cholecystectomy, I suspect due to Covid. No long term signs, no weight loss specifically, weakness and fatigue: a little bit.
      Note after surgery, it went to normal.

    My doctor said that most people with this are or have been diabetic for years. it's weird cuz I got back surgery through my stomach and now I have epi which I was constipated before constantly

      Please help and tell me did you have weight, muscle loss and or bad fatigue?
      I ask because my Elastase levels in stool came back low ( 160's ) and I have been unwell with all I asked about for over 3 months now!... and they want to give me Creon.
