I'm a grown adult minecraft fan and I got excited seeing that pulling a black cube adds netherite items to the deck. I think this game would be a slam dunk for young minecraft players.

High praise from people who don't play Minecraft. I suggest you both should organise a multiplayer Minecraft realm and play together as a family with your kids. Our family did this way back when Minecraft was in Beta 10 years or so ago. We played it hard and then had a 10 year break - we have gotten back into it again and now play with our 23 and 26 year old daughters. Minecraft can be relaxing - pottering around crafting or challenging doing a cooperative exploration looking for particular artifacts/biomes. Good to see a thematic boardgame do Minecraft justice. Edit: You mine the resources then craft them into more complex tools, and resources to survive and explore.

I like both Minecraft builders and biomes and Portal Dash. I think Portal Dash due to the coop nature works better with kids. My child had a hard time understanding the puzzle scoring in Builders and Biomes game but was able to do a better job at making decision in Portal Dash. I agree that the cube mechanic is my favorite in both games.

This was very coherent and instructive review video thank you. This helped a lot in my influence on getting this for my child. Was just surprised there was no mention on the quality of the components which had me looking around to find this missing information elsewhere instead of having it included in the video reviewing the game 😔

It's not as good as the first game in this Minecraft series. But still very well done, thematic, fun, and yes I love the cube mechanic. Joey if you haven't played Minecraft: builders and biomes I definitely recommend it. It's more of a euro type game but still has the cube mechanic and it's one of my personal favorite games.

Similar to Camilla, my son loves Minecraft and I do not. I am really happy to hear I can get this one for him and look forward to playing it with him instead of dreading it.
