Also something to note around Mighty Car Mods: we are normal guys and are not trained mechanics. We like to make interesting car mods and show you how we've gone about it, but we can't promise that anything we show you will work for your particular car, or that you won't harm yourself, someone else, your car or your warranty doing it. Please be safe, be responsible and unless you know what you're doing, do not fool around with very serious machinery just because you've seen us make it look so easy. It's really amazing to see just how far Mighty Car Mods has come since these days. You mentioned that some fans had thrown you a party when you reached 100,000 downloads, imagine the party now... Seriously, you two should be extremely proud of yourselves. Just look at what you've accomplished in the past 6 years.

0:33 you don't need to install a pump in your non-turbo car to install a turbo gauge, you can just let a piece of that hose hang from the ceiling and blow into that when you are driving.

Most mechanical boost gauges(like the one in the video) measure vacuum as well as boost. In an naturally aspirated engine, a vacuum gauge can indicate the health of an engine as well as ideal throttle position for maximum fuel efficiency.

other than using the boost gauge and controller together. the gauge would be pretty much useless. It would be mostley for looks. Although if you know how much boost your car is supposed to be running stock, than the gauge would help you see if you may have a boost leak somewhere, if it's reading below the boost it's supposed to be. I hope I helped you out. Sorry if I went into too much detail, I just got into it hahaha

@iSypha for some reason I think the boost gauge actually helps hp a little bit. Someone correct me if i'm wrong but I was getting ready to turbo my car and I installed a boost gauge first and it reads vacuum so I took it for a little ride and notice a slight difference in power. I think when you acclerate, some air is compressed in the lines of the boost gauge and when you let go of the gas those air are suck back into the engine+ the next gears incoming air helps it.

@saga212 yer 4 something :P we actully tuned the turbo down cos the factory one got damaged and was replaced wit an after market one so we tuned it down cos this new one is really powerful and because it mostly just dos runs to and from the city it dosnt need the 30psi available all the time if you towed huge loads or were offroading yer have it up high but for road use 9-12psi is good enough for just getting around

Yea you can install an aftermarket BOV on any turbo charged car, as the bov realeases the excess pressure from the turbo. basically air, it has nothing to do with the type of gas a car uses. Performance wise it won't change much. it would only help if you were to run more boost(pressure), the bov would be able to hold more boost than a stock bov. If your running a stock setup, than it may make it sound a little louder(psshh!! sound) but this all depends how much boost your car comes stock.

As far as the boost gauge, I personally would only add one if you were to add a boost controller. by using these two instruments together you would be able to saftley up your boost. you would be able to read the gauge too see how much boost is going through your car and you would be able to adjust the boost with the controller accordingly with what you want. But be very careful. too much boost can blow the turbo. read up on how much boost your car can saftley run how it is.
