42 Year Old Tries BMX for the 1st Time

Yup, after seeing my son enjoying himself at the drift jump track, I thought I’d get myself a BMX bike and give it a shot on the street.
Why a BMX over a dirt jumper?
How much did I spend?
Does it fit in the car?
Can I Bunny Hop?
Can I manual?

Thats so much fun rig)) after 10 years of mtb I bought one of this in my collection and maaaaan what a jump machine it is! When I don't want (or nowhere) to ride those huge mtb bikes, or I just don't know what I want😅 I just grab my bmx😊 keep it coming 👍👍👍💯
Few tips from bunny hop and manual experience:
Bunny hop - try to focus on lunching only your front tire higher and higher in the beginning, at some point the rear wheel just naturally will start to lift a little and you will understand what to do next.
Manual: first stage - learn how to jump off the bike when it is going too far back (like on 8:55). Thats the key to not hurt seatbone. Only after that you can start learning manual safely 😊😊 (video from channel named *joy of bike*, how to manual when you are over 40. That helps ;)

Hey thanks for all the input. I’ll try that stuff out! Yes, I’ve seen that video you’re talking about, 2x. Haha. It was a good one. Jumping from the center and not having to use your wrists. I know it by heart.
