    This is what did it for me. I play Keys and aux guitar. Half of my keys rig is from an iPad Pro - running through 5/6 with effects or 1/2(DRY) is the ultimate flexibility and I sold my UA interface that I used for live sets. Incredible.

    Thanks for the video - really helpful! I wondered do you have the inputs set to line and inst level separately? Also, what is the rationale for the silent loop? I’m waiting for my stomp to be delivered so sorry if these are stupid qns!

    • @HeyWorshipLeader
      @HeyWorshipLeader  Před 3 lety +1

      I just have the input set to instrument level...and output line level. the silent part of the loop allows you to create a seamless loop...no harsh starting point...it'll make it sound infinite. I explain it better in some other videos...here's an older one: czcams.com/video/11v8_aYJl0w/video.html

  • @moments_with_IH
    @moments_with_IH Před 2 lety +1

    Thanks for making this video! I may be a lil bit late to the party, but is it possible:
    use the hx stomp for instrument insert(run amps and effects), and play along to a track/song - and listen to it via the headphone out( for in home practice)?
    But to still make it possible to get mono or stereo out to FOH (when actually performing)?
    It would be great if this was an all in one patch. Thanks!

    • @HeyWorshipLeader
      @HeyWorshipLeader  Před 2 lety

      Yes, absolutely! You would just plug in your music device into the "AUX In" on the side of the unit. But sense that's the same return for the FX Loop, you won't be able to use the FX Loop at the same time

  • @dsreiff
    @dsreiff Před 11 měsíci

    Hey! This is awesome! Do you know if this works with an old-school midi-only keyboard? I am not sure if the Stomp’s midi in can be used to actually receive midi audio signal (I am concerned it can’t). But perhaps there are midi to 1/4in cables that can be used instead. Any thoughts?

  • @duncanmacgregor9398
    @duncanmacgregor9398 Před 2 lety +1

    Hi great video. If I wanted to have an electric guitar and acoustic guitar both plugged in to my stomp ( not to use in the same preset ) could I build a preset where it sends signal down right input (mono) and then split output for frfr speaker on stage and second path direct to front of house for sound guy to control. E.g have my one control over on stage volume ?
    I have managed this with my electric guitar via left on mono channel. And then splitting output left and right.
    The key advantage for me in doing this would be not having to unplug anything and just cycle between a preset to switch between my acoustic and electric setup

    • @HeyWorshipLeader
      @HeyWorshipLeader  Před rokem +1

      yes! You can do that. Leave them both plugged in and use "Split A/B" save one preset with path A100 and the other with path B100

    Thank you for this explanatory video mate! Question: I've setup my hx-stomp the exact same way as your option 3 (2 mono instruments mixed to the main stereo output). However, in my case the dry signals of both instruments stay panned all the way to the left and right in the mix and this is not what I want obviously. In your mix it seems like both the dry and wet signals are nicely mixed to the stereo output. Did you ever run into similar problems?

    • @HeyWorshipLeader
      @HeyWorshipLeader  Před rokem

      hmmm and you verified that your mixer block "A Pan" and "B Pan" are set to "Center"? That should take any separate signal and blend them together

  • @jeeeeev
    @jeeeeev Před 10 měsíci +1

    Using the same logic, can I split my signal to Left and Right using the Left as an output with an IR and the Right without?

  • @marcello9476
    @marcello9476 Před 11 měsíci

    Hey thanks for the video! I was trying to setup my presets so that I could plug 2 guitars into the hx stomp and then take left and right audio outputs and send each to their own exclusive amp so that each amp only outputs one guitar's signal, but with both guitars still running through the same pedal effects.
    With no changes to my existing preset, I can plug both guitars and amps in and get both sounds coming out of both amps. I was thinking of just adding a volume block at the end of the chain and dragging it down to the second line then panning both the split and mixer blocks all the way left and right.
    Do you think this will work? Ive been trying to test this on reaper using the usb out but I cant for the life of me figure out how to get reaper to split the audio. I only have 1 amp so I cant test this until I next meet up with my other guitar player which makes this very difficult to setup and troubleshoot.
    Thanks!

    Since I will be using a keyboard and guitar as well, will I need to change the input and output to line level in the global settings of the stomp? From my understanding keyboards and synths are line level and I’m new to the stomp so I wouldn’t want to accidentally damage it in any way lol
    * I will be running the mono/mono set up with my guitar plugged into L input and keyboard plugged into R input

    Just a thought, looking at your 2 inst. 2 output (2nd method), instead of using a 2nd instrument, I will use it as a monitor feed from FOH.. and then having no cable plugged from the "right output".. Do you think its possible?

  • @dookieeater

      @sjsphotog Před 2 lety

      Once you go Helix/HX you never go back. I also had the Firehawk FX but they never updated it or supported it. It left all us owners hanging high and dry (unlike Helix/HX which is updated and adds new stuff all the time for years and years now). The Helix user community is HUGE and so so many good free presets out there. Anything you like on your Firehawk just copy down settings so you can recreate them once you get the Helix/HX product. If you have the FIrehawk get the Helix LT (like me) or the PodGo as they both have the expression/volume/wah pedal in one unit which is helpful to control stuff.

    Hi. I have a question, i have a digitech trio (not the trio plus) and have an hx stomp i want to connect both in a way where the trio gets my signal and plays a drum beat after recognising the rhythm, and the output from stomp should not be affected by the drum machine's circuit. But they should be in a chain, basically what I'm trying to do is to have a drum machine in my pedal board just like zoom/ampero/mooer ge200 processors have...? If I can't do you have any suggestions how do I do that?

    • @HeyWorshipLeader
