The Whole Story Having just landed in Bali, we head to Sanur to catch the fast ferry across to Nusa Lembongan.
Ten days diving with Big Fish Divers (@bigfishdiving) diving.
Follow us on our twenty dive holiday as we attempt to capture the wonders of Nusa Penida and Lembongan.
Chapter 1: Nusa Lembongan: Lembongan Bay, Blue Corner and Mangrove.
Chapter 2: The Northern Sites of Nusa Penida: Sekolah Dasar, Pura Mas Gading, Sampalan, and Karang Sari.
Chapter 3: The Southern Sites Of Nusa Penida and Broken Beach: Manta Point and Manta Bay.
Chapter 4: The Ceningan Passage and The Bat Cave: Toyapakeh (North & South), Ceningan Wall, The Bat Cave and Crystal Bay.

This is how a scuba diving video should be made with a detail explanation and expectation of a dive sites We just got back from the GILI islands dive sites. We are going to Nusa Pedina in November this year. My young diver sons are quite excited about Nusa pedina dive sites Mangrove , 4 to 8 dive sites and Mantas. I would recommend to anyone that Nusa Lembongan and Nusa Penida are a highlight when visiting Bali.

June, but you can dive Bali all year round. Thank you for the question.
Is there a reef hook necessary? Since it looks pretty „stormy“ in the most of your dives 😊
Thanks for the comment. I keep a reef hook in the pocket of my BCD for all dives just in case. It's not necessary for most dives. You use them if you want to hang in the current and wait for the big fish to come past.
How mamy days it would need to dive all the dive spots there?
Thank you for the question. I would give yourself 4/5 days of diving to get a good taste of the islands. The only problem I would foresee is most dive stores like to return to one of the manta sites almost every other day (weather permitting). If you enjoy mantas this isn't an issue, but it does limit the number of different dive sites you'll see.
Great video! Headed to Lembongan in a few months for my IDC. Probably going to skip out on the Bat Cave, too much bat crap in the water for me haha.

Your images are great!! I will try to go in November... Do you know where to dive with sharks near there?
You will find whitetip reef sharks at Mangrove, but only if you're lucky and bamboo sharks at Manta Point. I found more whitetip reef sharks over on the Gilis - but the reef life isn't as beautiful as Penida or Lembongan. You'll find a sharks cave on Gili Biaha Island out of Panang Bai. Komodo & Raja Ampat has whitetip, blacktip, wobbegong and the odd grey reef.
Just to ask, have you dived at Pemuteran’s Menjangan Marine Park before? If so, how does it compare to Nusa Penida/Lembongan ‘s underwater life? Thank u!
I've not dived Menjangan Island yet. It is on my list, but I believe it is not as good as Nusa Lembongan or Penida.
The island itself has a few dive sites, but nothing amazing.
One day, I plan to dive the best of Bali's Northshore, and it is on my list of dives.
@@DivingandDogs I’m only an owd and done only 5 dives. Thinking of getting my AOWD and now deciding on which place to d it- Lembongan/Penida or Menjangan/Pemuteran. Or Tulamben/Amed.

They are based on Nusa Lembongan (NL).
I don't know your budget but NL accommodation wise if problebly the cheapest.

@@DivingandDogs are you using a special filter on the GoPro? Mine (same model) has never looked so spectacular or was the water just so crystal clear that everything looks amazing?

The water is particularly clear. If you look at my later movies in the Philippines, the particles in the water do affect the quality of the video.
I edit in imovies and sometimes adjust post-production, but I don't adjust a lot.
Hi ‘ thanks for clarifying! So the Nusa Penida water is clearer than Philippines? Where in particular in Philippines? I’ve dived Coron before.. and thinking of heading to Nusa Penida… so wonderful if Penida is clearer visibility… oh btw , which month did u go that has this nice visibility… how is it like in august, are the waves rough?
Hello, I guess it is where you dive in the Philippines, big place. Nusa Penida is generally clear water all year round. During the rainy season, the water can get murky. Nov - May are the warmer months.
