As a Padi dive master with over 250 dives, but haven't been in the water for some years: great video, better because it is under water where you need to understand WITHOUT words. Good job, thank you.
I'm an advanced open water diver with 60+ dives... but thats not going to stop me from watching training videos every once in a while! great vid, super informative!
This is by far the most helpful scuba diving tutorial video. I haven't dived for a decade and going under the water tomorrow. After watching this video, I feel more confident! Thank you!
It’s better to take a diving course instead of relying on CZcams videos i think. Watching videos is a good start of course (given the methods are not outdated or conform different protocols), but gaining skills = practice.
Loved watching this and getting a refresher. Thank You
You need to make more videos. This is the most helpful video I’ve found so far on this topic as a new diver
WAW !!! it's a superb video !! very clear and instructive, I never learnt most of of these skills ! thank you !
Omg the intention and message is so clear without words it’s like experiencing ESP. brilliant work.
Great guide .. it is refreshing ..
many thanks
This is so calming to watch
Thanks for sharing it, just got my OW last week. Refreshing of those skill is useful
THANKYOU For making this video, i had to do a refresher coarse today and PADI website has been down for more than a week , so i watched this video 8 times and nailed my practical exercises in the water at depth , there is a lot of very good content in your videos , Cheers Dave ...
Going for my open water cert with dry suit addon so this was great to watch before going to class. Thank you.
thanks alot. the tutorials were very helpful.
Great video and very relaxing 🌊🌊💙💙
Great Video! I love how well it emphasizes the consistency of routines for diving skills - every step/action has a reason and the diver models it all SO well! Its also great to watch and practice reading hand signals. :-)
Hn. Un.
Thank you very much - good Crashcourse after years!
Thank you very much for this knowledge Helpful for beginners.
I love how this was done underwater using the hands signals. Bravo.
Such a good refresher video. Thanks !!
Super useful video, thank you 🙏
Love how everything is clearly explained by subs.
I would love to see more but then while neutral buoyant. Makes it more realistic.
Great video! I like that there is no voice over- Just explaining everything with simple signs and some subtitles.
Yes, great demonstration, very precise, very deliberate hand signals
Great and informative video, thank youu
I loved doing skills when I did my open water and advanced open water. Would like to do them again to be honest, as a refresher course.
She is amazing!
This is such a helpful video! As some one who’s only had two lessons for my open water course, I finally understand what they mean with the fin pivot !! Brilliant thank you so much xx
Heading to Cozumel next week.....pretty rusty since my last Blue Hole 15k' skydive with subsequent SCUBA dive at 140'! Decided to play it safe(ish) and do a refresher course with my novice diver GF beforehand. Came across this short but sweet video and wanted to congratulate you on a great production. Regardless of how may dives you have or how much experience, getting current and staying current may save your life!
Great demonstration.
Thanks Analyn, be sure to subscribe as we have more demonstrations coming soon.
better then my instructor, very clear!
First time I saw this channel
Excellent demonstration of basic skills !
Probably the best I've seen !
Have a great day !
Thanks Carl, be sure to subscribe as we'll be releasing more skills videos soon.
@@divers_den i want too do that be a male scuba diver ?. .
Best course director in Australia!
Very well explained
Great. I really like this video.
Excellent video
My first class is this Sat cant wait
skill number 5 i must try next time - cool :) thanks!
Super!!! Love it!!!
Well done helpful video, thanks! :-)
good demonstration
As an instructor love the demo , new divers should continue to learn these skills. Being confident well after your instructor has taught you. Even if you have your open water cert. Been diving since late 70's, Love teaching new students and teaching about ocean environment.
This is the best collection of confined water demonstrations I've seen!! Excellent job.
Being an AOWD it's all stuff I know, but a review from time to time if it's been a long time since your last dive is always useful.
Amazing video
Very helpful.
Amazing
Proper tutorial.
this instructor is amazing, and very informative, great video.
Thank you
I am headed out to get my OWD and AOWD certification next week and saw this video in addition to PADI material. Really really helpful. Demonstrated every skill so well. Thank you.
Glad it was helpful! Come and see us in Cairns some day.
How are you taking both courses in the same week? Don't you need a certain # of gives before taking the Advanced course? O_o
@@slyderace No, mate. People usually prefer taking both courses at once. It takes about 5 days to complete both courses.
@@aayush2608 lol I guess that is possible only with PADI...
@@IvoVorek i want too do that be a PADi dIVER ?. .
This is just wonderul
Exelent show clean and clear 10 on10 tnx
great video, very well explained. I will start my open water course next week. Is this what you have to do during your practical diving exams? Or is this just part of the lessons?
These are not all the skills ..
わかりやすい😊
Top Video
Very helpful video!
Thank you from Ukraine! ))
great video
one word!! awesome...😁😁😁😁
Really good video)))
Excellent stuff :)
Mask removal and replacement and no mask swim are the most sensuous skills to learn in my book ❤
Good 👌 job
Really great video!
Very clear. I loved your video.
멋진 강사님의 시범교육입니다
I went through all of this during my confined water course. Do I have to do it again?
Hovering (low pressure inflator)- after attaining bouncy, normal breathing is indicated. Does that mean that the breath taken is not slow deep breath?
❤❤❤❤nice. I am flow mem thank you so much & new Video afload.
Dang, I'm doing sdi instructor training, and they fail me if I demonstrate a skill while touch bottom, or allow my student to kneel or touch as well. Padi must be much less strict eh
PADI is strict but if give them a bonu$ they will make it easy for you. Padi is cool..
(Sarcasm)
A very clear demonstration video. Thank you!
How calm she is..made me comfortable while watching. Even though i had a licence, i am still concerning about the mask part 😂
Excellent video. I was learning to dive (open water diver) and the most traumatic part of the course was taking off the mask and putting it back on underwater and extracting the water from it. I almost drowned 😫
Hi.I Ming the lead around your waist. Beiing a heavy material, are not good for your health. Better replace it with steel. Wonderfull and complete video. Thank you.
I wish I had found this video before my diving exam
for what reason would u ever have to remove your full bcd etc
D4 model dive computer but band d6 model. I use the same style :)
weight belt... Try similar with yr. BCD's weight pockets or single weights. Don't forget to put the price tag back on just in case someone else may find them.
With weight belt is not fair...
i dont know anything about diving
and i am curious about the part don't hold our breath, is there a reason we need to exhale slowly instead of holding our breath?
In theory you don't need to exhale unless you are ascending because gases expand when pressure is reduced, which is what is happening when you are going up. And if you are holding your breath your lungs could literaly explode from the inside.
Now the reason why they teach you to never hold your breath is because it should be trained into muscle memory. Cause if you panic under water you do a lot of things by muscle memory. And if you loose your air source it's easy to panic and swim towards the surface, and then exhaling is extremely important.
Looks lovely! Just tried to book dives for three from UK but Belinda was so abrupt on the telephone, we’ve changed our minds! Be nice to the enquiries Belinda - basic business sense!
Pretty good, but I saw 2 mistakes here. When you replaced the BCD your main regulator was under your arm instead of over your arm. But good edit saved it 😁
And in my opinion for the Free Flowing Regulator mouthpiece too far from mouth or lips. Sorry had to comment on that 😁
I have been an instructor for 25 years so I see everything 😊
But the mask pinch was new to me. Gotta try that one. Normally I teach breaking the seal on top with 2 fingers 🤿
But the rest very good 👏👏🤙👌
Quick Tipp for the first Skill: Its better to hold your buddies BCD shoulder strap as it is closer and easier to hold on to. If you hold hands the tube might be to short to properly reach your mouth.
Non ho capito nulla ma era rilassante
On 3:30 the hand is upon the hose, but in the next scene it's under the hose, so during the demonstration the mistake was done, the same mistake is on 3:40 - the hand is upon the hose. This is not safety though. If you will be not quite carefull, you can loose you regulator. I stopped watch the video btw, don't know if there are any other mistakes. Correct me if I'm wrong.
on the oral inflation why do u never hold your breath what should u be doing?
You need to always be blowing out if you don't have the reg in your mouth. So remove reg, slow stream of bubbles, blow into BCD, and then either slow stream of bubbles again or directly back to the regulator.
@s7r7g7 what's the reason for not holding breath and just doing that way?
Got her after reading Grand Blue chapter 80.1
Видно, что девочка- инструктор и все движения повторялись в её жизни тысячу раз))
Моё отношение к пади , испорчено всем известными стереотипами, но я считаю, как и многие другие, что нет плохой или хорошей системы, есть разные инструкторы.
Easy when sitting on the bottom of pool should be able to do it with no mask also take of the wait belt and lie it over the leg
Why do you start bubbling only when you touch your lips with your finger? 🤔
Nice demonstration of the Open Water Skills. Get yourself in a higher level and record it again in neutral bouyancy. That would be amazing!!!! But anyway, awesome video.
Your alternate air source (octopus) is not very visible stuck under your arm.
During a pre-dive buddy check, the diver can advise their buddy that their alternate air source is tucked into their RIGHT BCD pocket (FYI: the RIGHT BCD pocket is a common place for divers to stow their octo's during a dive). Bottom line: if you're unsure where your buddy's octo is stowed during the dive, then ask them during the pre-dive check, to be extra sure..
I would love to dive with her,she was can teach me alot more 😍
sweeping: Practice it wevery to find yr left knee directly after getting out of bed. otherwise the left knee will feel neglected.
incorrectly administered octopus
Hi
A diver in front of you will not wait for you to sink to the ground to wipe your mask of with his fin. Learn the skill while swimming or hovering. And locate the mask's nose from outside, so the little crab inside will not bite yr thumb. Have in minde that this is one of the most important skills ever.
I might be doing something wrong, but purging by pressing the regulator underwater just sends water straight into my throat
Try pushing the purge button/cover first, then put the mouthpiece in your mouth. 👍🐳🤿
If you are going to purge, you might want to try pushing your tongue slightly against the regulator. I prefer to just blow instead of purge after I take regulator out of my mouth.
When I did this the hardest skill for me was swimming without a mask
Far easier to pull the rig over the shoulder to the front,
Number 1 skill: perform other skills without touching the bottom, in trim, while maintaining buoyancy.
I thought the video was quite good. It’s not all taught at this stage. In deeper water you would normally teach that. You want at least 3-5meters (10-15ft).
@@trombonstya It is absolutely not for advanced. Any diver who gets an open water certification should be able to control their buoyancy. Not only for their own safety, but for the safety of the environment as well.
@@TheyCallMeTouchpad i agree 100%
You cannot expect OWD dovers in their CW part of the course to be able to do trim :D
@@SammyPsk Especially not if we overweigh them and place them like an anchor on the bottom, like many instructors do.
