    When I started 1982 it was every class from 08 to 60s and everything in between...I packed it in when 66 appeared. Don't you get sick of seeing 66 66 66 66 all the time? (Well 90%) ;)

      Sometimes I do, but not very often tbh. I miss the whole variety of locos we used to have running around everywhere, but I just think back and think that it's something else, 😆

    You're a braver man than me Pete, i would have given in to the rain long before that.
    Glad you stuck it out though and produced another great video. Take care mate, Colin.

      Many thanks, Syd. I didn't expect the rain to be so bad tbh. When I left Thorne South, it was easing of but nothing that bad, really. It wasn't until the doors opened at Hatfield that it was like someone had just turned the tap on full, lol. That bridge wants pulling down mate it's in a bad state. It's great getting the Black stuff bombing about again. Just a shame it's for a short time. Going to miss them 😢. Keep safe mate

    Well done braving the rain. Just for your info the coal train at Conisbrough was going slow as there is a 10mph limit over the bridge over the River Don just outside the station for heavy axle weight vehicles, being loaded with coal the HTA’s would probably be Route Availability 10 (RA10 for short), so a frustrating crawl for the driver until clear.

      @donnypete  Před 12 dny

      Thanks, Mate, for that info. I've wondered for ages why they crawl around the corner 🤔. I always thought it was the signalling. Thanks Again

      @@donnypete The bridge the other side of Conisbrough Tunnel where the River Don goes back under the line has a 40mph limit for HAW wagons, but as you’re already braking for the 10mph one you sort of just incorporate it into your braking.

    • @donnypete
      @donnypete  Před 13 dny

      It's definitely worth getting up for. I didn't think it would rain like it did, though, 😆 and yes, they are ingots

    when did they upgrade Thorne South pete as when i went in 2009 it was not like that

    • @donnypete
      @donnypete  Před 12 dny +1

      I'm unsure, mate. I found out that the bridge was put up in 2013 as the foot crossing was being abused. Hope that helps
